  1. Introducing Pesknoir!

Deck and Zane, both good points. I actually thought about using Dusclops when Snorlax was brought up, because it is one of the few things that poses a direct threat and can outspeed in a Trick Room. Tricky's Spiritomb almost pulled it off, but our speeds were actually tied and I got lucky with...
  2. Introducing Pesknoir!

I ran the numbers, and a Brave all-out Attack Snorlax using an unboosted Crunch is going to 3HKO Pesknoir at best assuming no Defense downs (It avoids 2HKO by a margin of about 10-20 HP, so a Defense down on the first one would make it a 2HKO) and a CB Crunch or a once Cursed Crunch (because...
  3. Introducing Pesknoir!

This is a little tricky, but let's assume you do stay in and Trick Room and Gyarados uses DD (which is unlikely, as we've already established). Then, you Taunt Gyarados, preventing a Taunt of its own and keeping it from continuing to DD. If Gyarados isn't packing Waterfall, just Night Shade to...
  4. Introducing Pesknoir!

Yes, I think it may have been you, but we got bluescreened when we battled didn't we? And also, I was not aware that you could have Seismic Toss from Emerald Tutor. Is it possible to breed Pain Split and Destiny Bond the same way in 3rd gen?
  5. Introducing Pesknoir!

Of course, I've also encountered many Gyarados/Electvire combos which can be a pain for Slowbro with HP Electric. I'm still unsure of what the best course of action is to anticipate things like that - I've been attempting Trick Room again on Turn 2 with Slowbro with mixed results. Either way, if...
  6. Introducing Pesknoir!

I should note that my team has Slowbro with HP Electric just to counter Gyarados (and because Trick Room rules for him). *wink*
  7. Introducing Pesknoir!

When people are not expecting it, it works like a charm. I've been bested by one Donphan playing very smart with switches and Ice Shard, but since then I've been smarter with Donphans. There's also been one or two who knew what to expect ahead of time from reading around the forum...

  9. Introducing Pesknoir!

A lead Pokemon which I have developed mostly for Trick Room teams, Pesknoir is my own creation which I have not read or heard about anywhere else here or on a few other sites which I have checked. While he works best for a Trick Room team, he can also be effective as a lead for any team if used...
  10. Monday Night Wi-Fi Battle. Tricky(Fate) vs. MoFro: Trick(y)Room MAYHAM!

I'm trying to remember exactly where those turns went. Didn't Porygon2 switch in on Slowbro and trace Oblivious at some point?... then I think I switched to Blissey... I can't remember lol Also I'm pretty sure I sent in Jirachi again after Rhyperior fainted, to restore Trick Room and send out...
  11. Monday Night Wi-Fi Battle. Tricky(Fate) vs. MoFro: Trick(y)Room MAYHAM!

Thanks for the war story, Tricky! A few things: @nihilus: Yeah, Ursaring was great but Machamp was more versatile - also I was at first thinking of doing a Guts Machamp like my Guts Ursaring, but ended up opting for No Guard anyway (because I was tired of breeding and got a good one)...

Alright so - I can't find a good resource for this info and I'm sure everyone is tired of me asking about one item at a time so: What are the boosts on all of the following items!? I'm going to fill in what I'm sure of. Choice Band: Attack x1.5 Choice Specs: Sp.Atk x1.5 Choice Scarf: Speed...
  13. Ask a simple question, get a simple answer mark 3.

How much does Life Orb boost attacks? Does the recoil damage depend on how much damage you deal out, or is it a set amount every time?
  14. Ask a simple question, get a simple answer mark 3.

Running around works but I find that battling with your infected Pokemon works faster.

By how much does Expert Belt boost super-effective attacks?
  16. So Who has PBR?

If you haven't seen it, Trick Room looks absolutely awesome in PBR. The entire arena is shrouded by a thin layer of pulsing squares and distortion effects. It's just too bad that the announcer uses the same line for Trick Room all the time... "What's this!? Distortion... the Colosseum!!" lol...
  17. PBR smogon battlers post your FCs

I'll post mine when I'm home from work. Can you set all the rules like sleep/ohko/item clauses when you're playing a friend on Wifi? If so then, woot.
  18. Laughs in Random Battles on PBR.

Mewtwo using Hyper Beam on my Dusknoir, not even a switch-in... *yawn*
  19. Ask a simple question, get a simple answer mark 2.

You could lead with Arcanine if he had Intimidate, but there are better leads. Arcanine with Intimidate would be nice to bring in on Attackers, but Arcanine is weak to a lot of the most common ones (like Gyarados and Rhyperior). Flash Fire Arcanine loves going in when you anticipate a...
  20. Ask a simple question, get a simple answer mark 2.

Two questions have been grating my nerves: 1. Does HP Electric work to activate Motor Drive? 2. Is Destiny Bond considered a OHKO move or is it legal to use?
