THE TEAM

dpffa450.png

Hippowdon (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP/168 Def/88 SDef
Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Slack Off
- Stealth Rock
- Roar

My lead pogeymon. I love this guy. Most physical moves can't OHKO him. He takes out some common leads like Infernape, Jirachi, Metagross and Weavile. I hate using leads without SandStream. First turn I use SR and then I roar things away with roar.
Earthquake is STAB and Slack off is to heal.

dpmfa160.png

Feraligatr (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 28 HP/252 Atk/228 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Dragon Dance
- Ice Punch
- Earthquake
- Waterfall

My favorite pokemon. He can be a late game sweeper or he can open a huge advantage for me mid game. He's my team's main physical sweeper. He has great coverage. DDance lets Feraligatr sweep teams. Ice Punch is for Gliscor, Hippowdon, Dragons and other threats. Earthquake takes out Heatran and other threats that are weak to them.

dpmfa212.png

Scizor (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Technician
EVs: 248 HP/252 Atk/8 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- U-turn
- Superpower
- Pursuit
- Bullet Punch

The Revenge Killer of the team. He can switch into some things and kill them. Bullet Punch + Technician + Choice Band is crazy. U-Turn is there for when I predict right, SuperPower takes out some steels and Blissey. Pursuit goes for those things that switch out and Bullet Punch is obvious. It's STAB and goes well with Technician.

dpmfa392.png

Infernape (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 6 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Grass Knot
- Vacuum Wave
- Flamethrower
- Nasty Plot

My special sweeper. He sweeps things like crazy. He can either be useful late or mid game. Nasty Plot almost guarentees an OHKO every time. Vacuum Wave takes out Heatran, Tyranitar and some other threats with or without after a Nasty Plot. Flamethrower OHKO's Skarmary, Bronzong and other threats. Grass Knot can take out Hippowdon, Rhyperior and bulky waters.

dpmfsa373.png

Salamence (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP/180 Def/76 Spd
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Draco Meteor
- Flamethrower
- Roost
- Wish

What can I say? A bulky Salamence that knows wish! He can't really get OHKO'd by most physical moves because the Def EV's and Intimidate. He can also pass Wish. Roost and Wish are there for healing. Flamethrower takes out things that think they can wall this Salamence. Draco Meteor is STAB can cause in major dent into my enemy.

dpmfsa121.png

Starmie @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 136 HP/156 Def/216 Spd
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Rapid Spin
- Thunderbolt
- Surf
- Recover

My rapid spinner. He can take some hits and can wall Infernape and is a good counter to Gyarados. He can switch into certain scenarios. Thunderbolt is used for waters and flying pokes. Recover is there so Starmie can heal. Surf is STAB and takes out some bulky ground types. Rapid spin is obvious because it takes away SR's and spikes.

You'll probably want to change Infernape to a Timid nature instead of Jolly. You only need 192 Spd on Infernape, as it will allow you to outrun Base 100s.

From my experience, the Life Orb really hurts Infernape when there's a sandstorm going. Considering you're taking 40% from a Scizor Bullet Punch, then having to hit him back with a Fire Blast means that 57% of your HP can be gone in one turn. Maybe an item like the Flame Plate (I forgot the exact name; it's the one that boosts Fire attacks), Meadow plate, or Fist plate to boost Fire Blast, Grass Knot, or Vacuum wave respectively.

I could see Sub CM Raikou with Hidden Power Ice taking out most of your team, but a combination NP Infernape with Vacuum Wave, Scizor with Bullet Punch, and Hippowdon with Earthquake can stop it from 6-0ing you. You could put Swampert in for Starmie to prevent him from ripping your team apart (and Swampert can still counter Gyarados.)

lol I just realized my ape was jolly lol.
i'll put on an expert belt instead of an orb.
i'll try out the swampert instead of starmie.

for some reason, it won't let me edit my thread.

First off, Hippowdon really isn't doing much for the team with Sandstream. The fact that Scizor is the only other pokemon immune to it and Infernape takes 16% each turn with Life Orb+Sand (not to mention rocks), the whole situation is not acceptable in my opinion. I would replace this with a lead Swampert who can still use Roar and fares better against leads like Shuca Heatran and other lead swamperts.

I know Feraligator is your favorite pokemon, but Gyarados would be much more beneficial for your team in this case. If you replace it you not only have dual intimidate via Gyara+Mence, but you also have a poke who can set up and switch in a lot easier. With Starmie spinning away rocks, this combo should work efficiently.

Speaking of Salamence, the WishRoost set really doesn't fit your team. With an offensive team such as yours, I think you would benefit a lot more from a MixMence to help clear the way with Infernape for a Gyarados/Feraligatr sweep. Also, I recommend that you replace Nasty Plot on Infernape with Hidden Power Ice. I always found the extra move a lot more beneficial than Nasty Plot, especially with Latias lurking around every corner. It pretty much comes down to preference in this case.

With these small changes your team should be a lot more effective. Good luck!

i'm not really a big fan of leads without sandstream.
i don't think ape has much of a problem.
and i fixed sally.

it won't let me change my thread!
