XY OU 1500+ but I know my team needs improvement

Klefki @ Light Clay
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Impish Nature
- Reflect
- Light Screen
- Spikes
- Fairy Lock
This guy is a huge part to my team. He sets up dual screens, and then lets the rest of my team goto work. Gyarados/Talonflame love having screens to set up. Spikes is very helpful if the opponent seems to be a heavy switcher. Fairy lock is there to guarantee a ko/set up.
Thundurus (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Thunder Wave
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Focus Blast
Thundurus spreads paralysis/breaks physical walls. Both of my main sweepers are physical, so things such as skarmory must be removed. Paralysis is helpful to take out fast pokemon I can't deal with late game such as keldeo.
Gyarados @ Gyaradosite
Ability: Intimidate
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Waterfall
- Earthquake
- Taunt
Switch in after screens go up, get a dragon dance and this guy breaks down teams. However his low speed can get in the way even after a boost or two. It is not much of a team sweeper even with dd. However it breaks huge holes which can later be finished with kyurem/talonflame. Another pokemon I would consider switching.
Kyurem-Black @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Teravolt
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Outrage
- Dragon Claw
- Fusion Bolt
- Iron Head
This thing is a great revenge killer. With screens up not much can OHKO and it always does massive damage. Usually I also bring it in after talonflame is down for those final KOs. Pretty common for this thing to ko half of my opponents team.
Excadrill @ Assault Vest
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 120 HP / 136 Atk / 252 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Rapid Spin
- Earthquake
- Iron Head
- Rock Slide
Standard rapid spinner. With this teams rock weakness it is completely necessary. Mold breaker takes out rotom-w and gengar. Does its job well and I don't particularly want to switch it. It takes fairies such as clefable which threaten gyarados.
Talonflame @ Sharp Beak
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 120 HP / 252 Atk / 136 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Brave Bird
- Flare Blitz
- Roost
This guy is the biggest killer around. Him and kyurem DESTROY teams. I can go down 1-4 and Talonflame will net me the win. He's the star of the team. The only way he dies is from recoil damge. SR is a problem but that's why I have excadrill. Carries sword dance but doesn't always need to use it.

How can I make this team better? I definitely need to reduce my SR weakness. Maybe add some more hazards than just spikes? Let me know what you think.

Hey, nice team. Here are my suggestion:

Gyrados should run Ice Fang for coverage over Taunt. But, then you have a problem with Set-up Sweepers and Clerics, hence I suggest running Taunt over Focus Blast as it is priority.

Besides then, everything is just personal preference, U-turn over SD on Talonflame allow for some momentum and T-wave over Fairy Lock cripples sweepers. But again, these are just my personal picks.

Hope it helps!

Hey just going to drop a few suggestions. When using screens support you want to build an offensive team that can take advantage of the screens and setup in preparation for a sweep. You could also use screens on a defensive team but I won't get into that since you're building an offensive team. I would advise against the above suggestion of removing swords dance on Talonflame because it fits perfectly on the set and with Swords Dance, Talonflame can function better as a late-game sweeper. I agree with the suggestion to change Fairy Lock to T-Wave for reasons already stated, but using Play Rough in that slot could be an option because my later suggestions will open the team up to a Fighting-type weakness. The next thing would be to lessen your crippling Stealth Rock weakness by replacing Thundurus with Tyranitar. Tyranitar can still check Flying spam and it can also 2HKO Skarmory with Fire Blast. Klefki can act as an emergency check to setup sweepers with T-Wave. Ttar can also setup Stealth Rock to add pressure to Flying and levitating mons. So Thundurus won't be missed much. Another change would be to change Kyurem-B's set to a substitute + Leftovers special attacking set. Kyurem-B is a dangerous threat when supported properly. Dual screen support is perfect for it because of its natural bulk and handy resistances. It can hide behind subs that allow it to avoid being statused and revenged KOed by Mach Punch or Bullet Punch. This moveset also counters Rotom-W, because Rotom-W needs two Hydro Pumps to break Kyurem-B's substitute and by that time it will be 2HKOed by Earth Power. This allows Excadrill to forgo Mold Breaker and abuse Ttars sandstorm with Sand Rush. I recommend using a Air Balloon because it gives you an opportunity to beat Landorus-T 1v1 after some residual damage. You could possibly change Gyarados's spread to 88 HP / 168 Atk / 252 Spe to add a bit of bulk. Everything else is good n_n, I hope I helped.

Tyranitar @ Smooth Rock / Leftovers
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 200 HP / 104 Atk / 88 SpA / 100 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Crunch
- Fire Blast
- Pursuit
- Stealth Rock

Kyurem-B @ Leftovers
Ability: Terravolt
EVs: 56 HP / 216 Spa / 236 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Substitute
- Ice Beam
- Earth Power
- Fusion Bolt
