ORAS OU +1600 ladder need help MEGA VENUSAUR HYPER OFFENSE!

Hi guys, don't judge my english please, it isn't my first language lol
I want show you my OU team, I really need your help, because many pokemon are difficoult to defeat.

THE TEAM
First of all,

images (1).jpg

My team is building around Venusaur, my first ever pokemon,
I love it since I was a child and then couldn't miss.
Thanks to the mega evolve he became an excellent tank,
thanks to Thick Fat he loses two weaknesses,
fire and ice,
and his type and his statistics make it very hard to 0hko.

Venusaur-Mega @ Venusaurite
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpA / 8 SpD
Modest Nature
- Sludge Bomb
- Giga Drain
- Leech Seed / Synthesis
- Hidden Power [Fire]
This is the standard offensive set,
statistics make it bulky and a great sweeper.

252 SpA Charizard Fire Blast vs. 248 HP / 8 SpD Thick Fat Mega Venusaur: 134-162 (36.9 - 44.6%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
252+ SpA Mega Venusaur Sludge Bomb vs. 252 HP / 36 SpD Sylveon: 240-284 (60.9 - 72%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

SLUDGE BOMB
The main STAB, 30% of possibility to poison and a good power,
it hits hard what he doesn't resist.

GIGA DRAIN
The secondary STAB, less powerful,
but it has a good secondary effect
.
Also is the terror of all bulky water and bulky ground,
like Swampert, Alomomola and Hippowodon.

HIDDEN POWER FIRE
Venusaur has many problems against steel pokemon,
like Skarmory and Ferrothorn,

thanks to HPF he can it them hard.
Another importance of the move is the element of surprise,
Venusaur is uncommon in OU and many player check it with steel type.
252+ SpA Mega Venusaur Hidden Power Fire vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Skarmory: 184-218 (55 - 65.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
252+ SpA Mega Venusaur Hidden Power Fire vs. 252 HP / 168 SpD Ferrothorn: 212-252 (60.2 - 71.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

LEECH SEED
Why Leech Seed instead of Synthesis?
You have to see next pokemon!
This move is undervalued,
in addition to recover of HP,
it can force opponent switch,
I often play it on predict.

Venusaur has some weakenesses,
to psychic and flying type,
like Latwins and Talonflame,
and is walled by SpD wall and Heatran.

images (2).jpg

The best partner for Venuasur is him, Tyranitar.
They have an excellent synergy,
the first kill bulky water and check fight type,
Tyranitar hit Pursuitrap Latwins and hit hard Talonflame and Heatran.

Tyranitar @ Leftovers / Smooth Rock

Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Pursuit
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge

It isn't the standard Tyranitar supporter,
I must speak about the evolution of this pokemon.
At first I tried to use CB set,
but I needed a SR setter,
and then I changed strategy.
The second evolution is the ability.
For a period I used Unnerve,
because under the sand Synthesis is less effective,
but the the damage of the sand is very useful to weaken the enemies
and allow to sweep at Venusaur.
The EVS unbalanced in attack promote 0hko.

252+ Atk Tyranitar Pursuit vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Latios: 180-212 (60.2 - 70.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock and sandstorm damage
252+ Atk Tyranitar Stone Edge vs. 248 HP / 136+ Def Mandibuzz: 282-332 (66.6 - 78.4%) -- 31.3% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock

PURSUIT
The move that Tyranitar must have,
after Aegislash ban he's the best user of the OU tier.
It needs no presentation.
It trapped the Latwins, Gengar, Alakazam etc,
but be careful to Focus Blast.

STEALTH ROCK

SR are Sr.

EARTHQUAKE
Why I chose Earthquake over Ice Beam or Crunch?
Because Heatran is a big problem in this meta,
Dragonite and Salamence are it hard by Stone Edge.

STONE EDGE

The main STAB, it destroy Talonflame,
and it hard all it doesn't resist.
Also help me against DDragonite when Multiscale was broken.

252+ Atk Tyranitar Stone Edge vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Dragonite: 384-452 (118.8 - 139.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock
+1 252+ Atk Dragonite Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Tyranitar: 338-398 (83.6 - 98.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

I'm not sure of Tyranitar moveset and EVS, so if you want to give me some advice I'm really happy.
Now I need a pokemon who can check bug and ground.

images (4).jpg

Who better than Talonflame can do this?
Thanks to is ability he have the strongest priority of all pokemon,
also have a good movepool.
He can absorb WoW that can annoy Venusaur and put out Tyranitar.

Talonflame @ Leftovers
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Brave Bird
- Roost
- Will-O-Wisp
- Taunt

The set is the classic SpD Talonflame, but EVs are different.
Thanks to attack boost I can use it for late game sweeping.
The EVS in speed are to outspeed Stallbreaker Talonflame.
Before this set I try the CB,
but I need a taunter for CM Clefable.

BRAVE BIRD
The best priority in all pokemon world.

252+ Atk Talonflame Brave Bird vs. 92 HP / 0 Def Azumarill: 189-223 (51.9 - 61.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock

ROOST
Another priority, Wow+Roost can stall lot of team.
It give to Talonflame a good bulk.
Also save him from Volt Switch users.

WILL-O-WISP
Burn enemy physical sweeper is really helpful,
it can also help for stalling,
I often use it on predict.

TAUNT
Pokemon like Clefable and Chansey are a problem for my team,
Taunt resolve this.

Talonflame is the best bird ever to me,
but he has a big weakeness, the SR.
Now I need a pokemon who can remove it.

download (6).jpg

My defogger is Latias,
I preferred over Latios for Healing Wish.

Latias @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Healing Wish
- Defog
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock

It's the standard LO set.
Thanks to is speed she can outspeed dangerous pokemon,
like Terrakion and Keldeo.
Is the Charizard Y check.

HEALING WISH
One of moves that I prefer.
It give a good momentum and give second chance at sweeper.
It's nice to avoid Pursuitrap.

DEFOG
Compared to Rapid Spin has some strenghts and some defects,
altoughts the defects are more.
Thanks to it I remove SR against ghost type too.
But I remove my SR and I must be careful to Bisharp.

DRACO METEOR
The main STAB, a really strong move,
boosted from LO can 0hko many pokemon.
After the bad effect I usually use Healing Wish.

PSYSHOCK
The secondary STAB, I prefer it over Psychic,
because it hits Sylveon and Chansey better.

The team's base is complete,
but I still have some problems.
Only 1 resistence at dark type.
No water and only one fire move.
Only one priority.
For this I complete my team with Azumarill and Heatran.

th (9).jpg

Azumarill thanks to Huge Power is one of best wallbreaker of OU tier.
He solves three of my problems,
the weakeness of dark type,
the only one priority
and the water attack.

Azumarill @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Aqua Jet
- Belly Drum
- Knock Off
- Play Rough

It's the standard Belly Drum set.
I must maximize is attack,
the other EVS to give him more bulk.

AQUA JET
Water STAB and priority,
it can solves the problem of low speed of Azumarill.

BELLY DRUM
If Azumarill use this move he becomes unstoppable.
Sitrus Berry give him more HP,
but is a dangerous moves,
if opponent predict it,
I have trouble.

KNOCK OFF
The strongest move of all pokemon world.
It hit neutrally many pokemon.

+6 252+ Atk Huge Power Azumarill Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Skarmory: 291-343 (87.1 - 102.6%) -- 93.8% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock

PLAY ROUGH
The main STAB,
I need a fairy move in my team,
the problem of this move is the not perfect accuracy.

There are a lot of set for Azumarill,
CB, AV etc
I chose the BD but it's dangerous.
For this I need your help.

images (7).jpg

Finally Heatran,
the pokemon with more resistance,
He solves my last problems,
I haven't fire attack
I haven't pokemon who outspeed NP Thundurus.

Heatran @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 28 Hp / 252 SpA / 228 Spe
Timid Nature
- Fire Blast
- Flash Cannon
- Ancient Power
- Earth Power
Thanks to EVs Heatran can outspeed Jolly Mega Lopunny,
and hit him hard.

252 SpA Heatran Fire Blast vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Mega Lopunny: 186-220 (68.6 - 81.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock

FIRE BLAST
I prefer it over Overheat because I'm not obliged to switch him.
It's the main STAB and my fire move,
that complete coverage grass / fire / water.

FLASH CANNON
The second STAB, hit hard fairy and rock types.
The perfect accurancy is good for late game cleaning.

252 SpA Heatran Flash Cannon vs. 252 HP / 36 SpD Sylveon: 204-242 (51.7 - 61.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery

ANCIENT POWER
Heatran is a good check against Talonflame,
and thanks to this moves one of the best rev.killer for Yzard.

252 SpA Heatran Ancient Power vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Charizard: 300-356 (101 - 119.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO

EARTH POWER
This move is for other Heatran.
download (2).jpg th (7).jpg th (6).jpg th (4).jpg th (8).jpg th (5).jpg
This is my team,
there are have been some changes from the original.
Latias <- Latios

Latios (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Defog
- Draco Meteor
- Earthquake
- Psyshock
I prefer Healing Wish over Earthquake.

Heatran <- Magnezone

Magnezone @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Magnet Pull
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power
- Volt Switch
- Flash Cannon

I don't really need it, Scizor, Skarmory and Ferrothorn aren't really dangerous.

Latias <- Mew

Mew @ Leftovers
Ability: Synchronize
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Heal Bell
- Soft-Boiled
- Defog
- Psychic

It don't work well in a full offensive team.

Tyranitar <- Bisharp

Bisharp @ Focus Sash
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Knock Off
- Iron Head
- Sucker Punch
- Stealth Rock

Talonflame is a big problem.

Threat list
Mega Sableye, the CM version is a nightmare if Azumarill was defeat.
SD Gliscor, Azumarill and Venusuar can annoying it but is difficoult to kill.
Dragon Tail Garchomp, look Sableye.
Bisharp, after boosting, from defiant or SD is really hard to defeat.
Status, I've only Healing Wish and no ground pokemon, so TW is dangerous.

Hey alexxjak, your team is pretty solid but some of your sets and EVs are a bit off.

For one, you shouldn't be running such a slow Belly Drum Azumarill. You should run a lot more speed to be able to go for moves outside of Aqua Jet as much as possible. With your current spread on Azu you're slower than Scizor, Clefable, and a majority of Azumarill which generally run a minimum of 84 EVs in speed. So you should run a spread of 52 HP / 252 Atk / 204 Spe on Azumarill, which allows you to outspeed Klefki and M-Scizor that run no speed investment.

To support your Azumarill by luring in Quagsire and Rotom-W, as well as other water types such as Suicune and Keldeo, you should run Power Herb + Solar Beam Heatran > Choice Scarf, which gives your Azu a ton more leeway for when it's time to Belly Drum and try to sweep. Also, just for future reference, you should run Stone Edge > Ancient Power on Scarf Heatran. The calc you showed for Ancient Power OHKO'ing a Charizard was for a regular Charizard, not for Zard Y which gets a SpDef boost when it mega evolves. Stone Edge has a very high chance to OHKO Zard Y and does much more to SpDef Talonflame than Ancient Power does, even with a Timid Nature.

4- Atk Heatran Stone Edge vs. 248 HP / 0 Def Talonflame: 316-376 (88 - 104.7%) -- 31.3% chance to OHKO
252 SpA Heatran Ancient Power vs. 248 HP / 252+ SpD Talonflame: 240-284 (66.8 - 79.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
4- Atk Heatran Stone Edge vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Mega Charizard Y: 292-344 (98.3 - 115.8%) -- 81.3% chance to OHKO
252 SpA Heatran Ancient Power vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Mega Charizard Y: 236-280 (79.4 - 94.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
You should also ALWAYS run Synthesis on M-Venusaur, since this allows to it act has a consistent defensive/offensive pivot by recovering 50% of its health, compared to around 10 to 20% it might get back from Leech Seed recovery. You should also run 24 Speed EVs on M-Venusaur to make it be able to outspeed max speed Azumarill, and other Pokemon that hit 200 Speed as a benchmark such as opposing M-Venusaur and Mandibuzz.

You should run Choice Scarf > Leftovers (don't use Smooth Rock if you don't have Excadrill or M-Garchomp on your team) on your Tyranitar to be able to revenge kill Bisharps more reliably, as well as have a new Scarfer and a more reliable Pursuit trapper for Latis since you can still force the Pursuit damage even if they don't switch to put them in range of +6 Azumarill's Aqua Jet range. Also, since you mentioned you ran Unnerve Tyranitar before, you should always run Sand Stream since Sand provides a 50% boost to rock types' SpDef, which is the key to Tyranitar's special bulk.

Lastly, since your team is extremely weak to both Sand Rush and Mold Breaker Excadrill, M-Lopunny, and set up sweepers such as Dragonite, I think you should run defensive Landorus-T > Talonflame to be able to check them reliably, as well as have a new Stealth Rock user.

Changes in short:

Hi.
I suggest testing Hippowdon instead of Tyranitar. Hippowdon has excellent longevity. Bisharp, Mega Lopunny and Thundurus (without Grass Knot) chek. You lose Pursuit but Hippowdon helps with these other threats.
I suggest testing too Clefable instead of Talonflame. Great Status Absorber with Magic Guard, LatiTwin chek, and Mega Sableye Counter.
I know these changes leaves the least offensive team but helps cover the threats cited, and English is not my first language too, sorry any error.

hippowdon.gif
clefable.gif

Hippowdon @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 144 Def / 112 SpD
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- Slack Off
- Stone Edge / Roar

Clefable (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 160 Def / 96 SpD
Calm Nature
- Thunder Wave / Knock Off / Encore / Ice Beam
- Calm Mind
- Moonblast
- Soft-Boiled

Ice Beam or Encore are options to defeat Gliscor. Knock Off to Gothitelle in Switch, removes Leftovers of Heatran, Eviolite of Chansey and others.

I hope be useful.

Hi guys,
Thanks for suggestions,

"celes" if I remove Talonflame and scarfTran ice punch Mlopunny destroy my team, what do you think about this?
ScarfTar<- LeftoversTar

Heatran @ Power Herb
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Fire Blast
- Earth Power
- Solar Beam
- Stealth Rock

This heatran solves 2 problems, SR and water type, and I keep Talo in the team?

"Tio Chico" Thanks for your suggestions, maybe a Balanced team work well than a full Offensive with Azuma and Venusaur for they low speed.

I'm trying your changes, I'll let you know!
