1st Blood Battles?

Most battles are 6-6 but you need to KO all the opponents Pokemon to win. Well, I was thinking that how about we play 6-6 but when you lose 1 Pokemon, you lose the whole match?

It would make Scarfers and Sashers used a lot more and prediction more impotent.

Yes, definitely a good idea.

Also, posting here seems disrespectful to the other threads in this forum.
:(

Okay, fine. Anything with Mirror Coat and Counter on the same set would be killer. Adding Stealth Rock would guarantee Focus Sash doesn't work as well. So I guess I'd do something like sash Aerodactyl to "guarantee" the Rock, then switch to CounterCoat Swampert.

That definitely makes defensive play a lot more desirable as well as Baton Pass chains. Explosion and junk basically become useless. Gimmicks with Endeavor are a lot more desirable because who cares if you're going to lose this L1 Smeargle next turn, you just killed something with it?

It would add a refreshing twist to Pokemon because sometimes it seems that matches drag on forever and also it would require completely different strategies.

At first there would be lots of sashers and BPers, like Ninjask to a Simple Bibrael or something and Pokémon that normal get one kill but don't sweep. Then it'd get a lot more defensive to stop them.

In Ubers, Deoxys-A would win easily.

Sound interesting, but I doubt it would see much use unfortunately, like Little Cup.

EDIT: Also, Mean Look + Baton Pass Umbreon would beat most things by trapping them and switching to something that kills them.

I'd run a Pokemon with Sandstream to negate all the Sashes that would be rampant, and a Pokemon with Perish Song to prevent people attempting to get a BP chain going.

I think that priority moves would be much more important - its really quite easy to ping off a frail Choice Scarf user with a well-placed priority move.

Also, Pokemon that can trap would be gamebreaking. They only need come in on something they can KO easily and the game is over. U-Turn would probably be extensively used to this end.

Perish song would end the match in a draw, so I don't think those attacks would be used. They'd probably get banned.

How? It's 6v6, you can switch as much as you want.
It's a reliable tactic for ending BP chains.

I could see Mean Look + Perish Song passing being banned though if something like this ever came to fruition.

True. I forgot that both you and your opponent would be able to switch. Sorry about that.

Explosion would suck... Using it would end your battle in either a draw or a defeat.

I think battles would be defensive, with a few massivle powerfull "gun" pokemon like Specsmence and Choice Specs Adaptability Porygon Z.

Basically you'd whore out Toxic Spikes and Stealth Rock until you see an opponents defenses weakened. Then you fire off your "gun" pokes and hope to get a kill.

If you exploded wouldn't you lose?

The pokemon that explodes needs to KO itself before the opposing pokemon takes damage. That's how it is on wifi anyway. Same thing goes for destiny bond, the user would die first and would therefore lose the match.

What happens if the opponent uses Destiny Bond and both Pokemon die? I love the Trick Room/Destiny Bond combination.
Vespiquen = win.

I use it and it has won many surprise KOs.

Although it would be useless here. =(

Super Luck Scope Lens Absol would own.

Obviously not as starter, because if they lead with crobat, you're screwed. Just keep him somewhere, set up your SR (Hippo), then when you see a chance, bring him in. Win.

With that in mind, don't use steels, because of magnezone.

I'd just use a Scarf on someone who rarely runs a Scarf to get a surprise kill and win; When you need to kill all 6, the jig is up after that surprise kill, but here, the match is over. Scarf-Z, ScarfMence, ScarfTar, ScarfGyara, ScarfApe, etc. Draco Meteoring a Garchomp with your ScarfMence would be all you had to do to win.

Umbreon would be terrifying with Mean Look / Baton Pass / Taunt. If your opponent has nothing that can QUICKLY bring it down, Umbreon will trap and let you bring in a sure counter.

Unless they have Heracross, but that can be predicted (Choice Band Dugtrio?)
