Gliscor(P)SpriteMale.png

Gliscor (M) @ Toxic Orb
Trait: Poison Heal
EVs: 252 HP / 184 Def / 72 Spd
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Taunt
- Toxic
- Acrobatics
- U-turn

Gliscor's main function is to taunt pokemon that rely on stat boosts or set up Spakes, SR, etc. Bulky pokemon get poisoned, fighting types are hit hard by acrobat. There hasn't been a fighting type my gliscor hasn't beaten yet. He can u-turn it out of here if things get dicey. A decent lead, all in all.

starmie_sprite.png

Starmie @ Leftovers
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Surf
- Thunderbolt
- Ice Beam
- Rapid Spin

This is your standard Starmie, tried and true. With the emergence of Sandstorm and Sunny day, Starmie is more vital to me than ever. Sandstorm teams regularly lose 3 or 4 pokemon to him alone.

infernape_sprite.png

Infernape (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Blaze
EVs: 128 Atk / 128 SAtk / 252 Spd
Hasty Nature (+Spd, -Def)
- Close Combat
- Fire Blast
- Mach Punch
- Stone Edge

My replacement for speed boost Blaziken. Fire Blast for Ferrothorn, close Combat for most other pokemon, Stone Edge for some extra coverage, and Mach punch just in case I need that priority to take down Excadrill or someone similar.

530-frame1.png

Doryuuzu (Excadrill) (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Sand Rush
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
- Swords Dance
- X-Scissor

Excadrill is my last resort, if you will. After Tyranitar falls, Excadrill is sent out in order to deal some Sandstream hell to whoever gets in it's way.

electivire.png

Electivire (M) @ Air Balloon
Trait: Motor Drive
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Wild Charge
- Ice Punch
- Earthquake
- Cross Chop

Electivire is another one of those useful pokemon that has amazing coverage. He's basically here to deal damage no matter what the situation.

248_tyranitar_front_norm.png

Tyranitar (M) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Sand Stream
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Aqua Tail
- Crunch
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge

TTAR sets up sandstream, deals stab damage with Crunch and Stone Edge, has aqua tail for the ground types on sandstorm teams, and earthquake for sunny day teams.

I'm still relatively new to Competitive battling, since I don't really have much time to devote to it, so if you have any suggestions, move alterations, threats, etc., I'd be glad to hear them out. Thanks for taking the time to critique!

This team could use some help. You right now have 4 water weaknesses and 3.5 (air ballon Electivire is the .5) weaknesses to Ground. This is especially a problem because they are both in the top five most common attack types.
First off is Gliscor, whose set makes absolutly no sense. Taunt is fine to run on a lead Gliscor, and Toxic is not too bad. But why are you running acrobatics as the third move? It has a worse base power than Aerial Ace because you have an item and doesn't have great coverage. Then you don't have Earthquake, which is one of the best moves in the game. This team needs someone that can at least stall a little here so I recommend that you run this set.
Gliscor @ Toxic Orb
Ability- Poison Heal
Nature-Impish
EV's- 252 HP, 184 Def, 72 Spd
1. Protect
2. Toxic
3. Ice Fang
4. Earthquake
This set gives you the stalling of a lead and a wall and some ability to attack. Most people run Taunt over Protect, but I have never been a big fan of taunt and the extra healing is useful.
Starmie has a fine set, although I would recommend running Psychic over Rapid Spin, because the only pokemon that really cares about SR is Electivire. This would then make it reasonable to switch to a Choice Specs so you can hit hard out of the gate.
Infernape does not really have a place on this team it seems. I would recommend changing it to the typical Skarmory, who gets rid of both weaknesses that are common and can set up hazards that you need.
Skarmory @ Leftovers
Ability- Sturdy
Nature- Impish
EV's- 252 HP, 252 Def, 4 SDef
1. Spikes
2. Roost
3. Whirlwind
4. Brave Bird
There is a reason that this has been the standard Skarmory set for so long and that is because it works. Lay down spikes, Whirlwind away stat uppers, roost to heal, and Brave Bird for Stab attacking.
Excadrill is your standard Excadrill and works well as you have it.
Now I don't mean to be mean to Electivire or anything, but he absolutly positivly is terrible. If you want to keep him, the set looks fine, although switch Air Ballon with Life Orb because Air Ballon is going to burst by Wild Bolt recoil or Sandstorm, so it is not going to be their for long. But I would really recommend that you switch it to Garchomp. This gives you another option for someone that can sweep without setup and drops your water and Ground weaknesses down to two each. Try the Scarfchomp set, which does what Tyranitar does better.
Garchomp @ Choice Scarf
Ability- Sand Veil
Nature- Jolly
EV's- 4 HP, 252 Atk, 252 Spd
1. Earthquake
2. Outrage
3. Stone Edge
4. Aqua Tail
I hate to keep recommending standard sets but this is what I feel your team needs. Coverage moves all around and Scarf for revenge Killing
For Tyranitar, I would recommend running the bulkier set than you are. Try this
Tyranitar @ Leftovers
Ability- Sandstream
Nature- Relaxed
EV's- 252 HP, 24 Atk, 152 Def, 76 SAtk
1. Stealth Rock
2. Flamethrower
3. Stone Edge
4. Thunderbolt
This is the set that I run when I use Tyranitar, and it works well for me. The spread is a little weird, but it as efficient a way as I have found. Stealth Rocks are obvious, Flamethrower are to deal with Ferrothorns.
Good Luck

RMT Rules said:
3. Have some actual words in your post beyond your six Pokemon and their moves. Not following this makes your post quite boring to read and rate. All Pokemon should have a good reason for being in your team anyway, so why not post that reason? If you are having trouble with this one, start by giving an explanation for each team member. Why are they there? What role do they serve? How do you get them in? Then, give an explanation of how you would open with the team and how you would go about using it. All of these things help people rate your team and allow us to offer more helpful advice.
Your descriptions are lacking, which puts you in violation of the rule above. Please elaborate more on each team member - about 3 or 4 solid sentences per member is a good goal to reach for. The RMT archive contains some examples of well-written RMTs. If you fix your descriptions, PM me with the updates and I'll be happy to unlock your thread.
