The Planned Team, at a glance

*New Recruits/ Please critique their Synergy with the team especially*
Hello, and welcome to my first thread, a Pokemon Wifi Single Battle Team.
My current record is around 50 Wins : 35 Losses, roughly 60% Wins. Unfortunately, I have two major weaknesses- Priority, and Ice and Electric Moves (BoltBeam anyone?) so I constantly shuffle my team, so I need some advice
RANDOM MATCH UP on Cartridge Wi-Fi
*** This is a Singles Team - Wifi Only Lets You Bring 3 out of 6 (party) into the battle ***
The 3 i usually select of my party:
3 v 3
Lead:
Latios @ Choice Specs
Levitate
4 HP / 252 Special Attack / 252 Speed
Nature: Timid
- Draco Meteor
- Surf
- Hidden Power (Fire)
- Trick
The Ban on Soul Dew first led me to believe that GameFreak literally hated Latios, but now, unlike most legendaries who were considered Uber last Generation, he can dominate OU, though he is restricted to one move. The Move Set is the Standard Choice Spec’d version and works great as a lead.
Unless the other team has multiple steel Pokemon, while some don’t have any, I lead off with a Draco Meteor. With STAB and Choice Spec’s, a 140 BP attack off of 130 Base SpA destroys anything that is not steel-typed. Hidden Power Fire is for coverage against defensive steels, mostly Ferrothorn, Defensive Lucario, Bronzong, and Metagross. Heatran would wall this easily if not for Surf, which is great against any Pokemon weak to it so that Latios’s SpA doesn’t drop drastically. Trick is rarely used, but comes in handy against stall teams, set-up-ers, Blissey, or a Phazer so that they cannot use a Recover move. Latios consistently nets the lead kill, switches out, and ends up finishing the match with a second kill. Strong and Fast, Latios has the highest “kill/ death” ratio of my team.
Terrakion @ Choice Band
Justified
4 HP/ 252 Atk / 252 Speed
Nature: Jolly
- Close Combat
- Stone Edge
- X Scissor
- Sacred Sword/ *Quick Attack?
Nearly as strong base stat wise as Latios, Terrakion is also a speedy attacker. Close Combat and Stone Edge are standard moves that run great together. X Scissor destroys any psychic Pokemon, in usually one turn. Terrakion dominates Tyrannitar, a sandstorm team staple, along with Reuniclus, if I can predict the switch. Unknown to most people, Tyrannitar is weak to Bug, along with the obvious 4x Fighting Weakness (which is usually Chople Berry-ed), so Tyrannitar falls easily, along with any psychic who plans on coming in almost for free. Sacred Sword is rarely used, but foils any Minimizers or defensive boosters since those moves do not affect this attack. I’m considering quick attack, but being locked into that isn’t attractive, and Terrakion comes in after Latios has already knocked out an opponent or two, and stays in pretty much till he dies, while dealing out stellar damage.
Togekiss @ Choice Scarf
Serene Grace
4 HP/ 252 Sp A / 252 Speed ~ A little Unsure
Nature: Modest
- Air Slash
- Aura Sphere
- Fire Blast
- Shadow Ball
Togekiss is used for the amazing flinch rate. Combined with critical hits, this takes down even resistant Pokémon. The EV’s are not certain, but Togekiss can always take a hit in case the target does not flinch. Modest and 252 Sp A are used because, with a choice scarf, Togekiss already outspeeds most pokemon but the power boost vs. tanks is very nice, along with surprising anything that plans to set up on the first turn. Togekiss almost always comes out last and finishes anything that remains. Air Slash is the main move, the rest are coverage.
