1st Gen 5 team

This is my first gen 5 team and after a shaky start and a few dud teams, I finally managed to get the rhythm down for an offensive team that works in the lower tiers. I haven't had a loss yet (after 7 battles) though I feel that I'm getting past some obvious roadblocks with prediction and a bit of luck, and as I move up the tiers that's not going to cut it.

The main purpose of the team is to use the strong synergy of Starmie and Metagross as a lead to set up entry hazards and remove the opponents. Once the battle goes off to a good start ideally with Stealth rock up I can apply offensive pressure my many sweepers grabbing boosts whenever I can, which then just allows me to bulldoze through opposing teams.

Starmie
-Rapid Spin
-Hydro Pump
-Thunderbolt
-Ice Beam
Item: Life Orb
Ability: Natural Cure
Nature: Timid
Evs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe

Metagross
-Stealth Rock
-Meteor Mash
-Hammer Arm
-Bullet Punch
Nature: Adamant
Item: Air Balloon
Evs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Spe

These two 'mon form the basis of my opening play. The synergy these two have is boosted greatly by the ability to predict and plan out potential opposing leads. This allows them to create an opening for one of my three other set up sweepers. They work well by cutting away opposing leads and dealing with both the set up and removal of entry hazards. I'm pretty confident there a strong point to my team but I was wondering if there was a superior gen 5 alternative? Whilst dealing with a large range leads, they struggle with a number of new threats namely Conkeldurr and Ferrothorn, who whilst can be dealt with I'd prefer to be able to do it in a lead.

Terrakion
-Rock Polish
-Swords Dance
-Close Combat
-Rock Slide
Item: Life Orb
Nature: Jolly
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe

As one of my set up sweepers Terrakion usually sets up on a wall, snagging a speed boost, on something fighting weak like Ferrothorn where I can grab a Swords Dance on the switch, or on Dark type attack directed at Starmie. Again its beaten by Conkeldurr and contributes to my teams pretty serious Ground weakness. What differentiates it from the use of my other sweepers is how I usually deploy it against something something slow, I rarely use it to sweep on its own due to the drops from Close Combat. Could Sacred Sword be used as an alternative?

Garchomp
-Swords Dance
-Outrage
-Earthquake
-Substitute
Item: Life Orb
Nature: Jolly
Ability: Sand Veil
Evs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe

This thing is awesome. Substitute often allows me to grab two or three Swords Dances and lets me sweep away. Garchomp's real success however is its natural bulk and resistances, I can often swap in on a not very effective hit and Sub and sweep. There is not really much to say about it outside of that...

Tyranitar
-Stone Edge
-Crunch
- Pursuit
-Superpower
Item: Choice Scarf
Nature: Jolly
Evs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe

Tyranitar exists purely for the purpose of destroying anything Psychic typed, namely Latios and Reninculus that have the potential to stop my team dead in its tracks and tear me to pieces. It also holds as pretty useful answer to weather teams bringing in Sandstorms to counter Sun based teams or the odd Rain or Hail team, in addition to setting up Excadrill.

Excadrill
-Swords Dance
-Earthquake
-Rock Slide
-Return
Item: Life Orb
Ability: Sand Rush
Nature: Jolly
Evs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe

With TTar in my party is seemed a waste not to include arguably the best set up sweeper in gen 5. Works best as a revenge killer, grabbing a Swords Dance when possible to devastate the opponent.

Thank you :)
