1st team (OU)

Right then been playing baout with a few different teams and strats over the last week or so and finally come up with a team that finally seems to be doing pretty ok, but would like to have some feedback on the team since sometimes it loses quite badly, which i'm sure is down to me not being all that experianced yet and also just the fact that it's me that made the team. So here goes:

Tyranitar@Lum Berry
Nature: adamant
EVs 252 HP / 32 Atk / 224 SpD
Stone Edge
Payback
Earthquake
Stealth Rock

With azelf being such a common lead and usually a problem for blissey i decided to go with tyranitar being the surefire counter to it. Lum berry is to cure any status that tyranitar might have inflicted upon it, although i'm thinking possibly changing the item atm. With it being my lead i had to give it stealth rock. Stone edge payback and earthquake give good coverage overall, with payback being a great move early on since it's not going to outspeed many things

Blissey @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 84 HP / 252 Def / 40 SAtk / 134 SDef
Nature: Bold
Ice Beam
Seismic Toss
Toxic
Softboiled

Needed blissey to take better hits than the standard set usually does so went for extra SDef over max HP, and added a little extra to SAtk to deal decent enough damage to any salamence that tried to switch in. Chosing toxic over thunder wave wasnt the easiest things for me to do but decided to go with it and give thunder wave to another pokemon of mine. Natural cure and leftovers being the obvious choice of item and ability was never in doubt.

Slowbro @ Leftovers
Ability: Own Tempo
EVs: 212 HP / 252 Def / 44 SAtk
Nature: Bold
Thunder Wave
Slack Off
Surf
Hidden Power (Electric)

Wanted quite a strong physical wall and seemed that slowbro come out as the best option for me, being able to take on fighting types well and hitting back fairly hard with STAB surf, although being a psychic type it is weak to pursuit it has enough physical bulk to take a hit from it and surf does decent damage to pretty much anything that generally carries pursuit. Thunder wave was what really sealed the deal for me in bringing in slowbro as part of the team over anything else. It allows me to paralyze anything that might want to switch in to slowbro and also it a great support move for my team with it being fairly slow team at best. Slack off was an obvious choice with slowbro being my physical wall, HP electric gives good coverage along with surf.

Gliscor@Leftovers
Ability: Sand veil
Nature: Jolly
EVs: 252 HP / 40 Atk / 216 Spe
Swords Dance
Earthquake
Roost
Baton Pass

With a jolly nature gliscor becomes a base 100 speed pokemon which is great for a baton passer since i'm able to switch in a counter and also have it with +2 attack instantly due to swords dance Sand veil was the obvious choice of ability with sandstorm almost always being in play with having a tyranitar lead, along with my gliscor having baton pass + Swords dance i didnt have to worry too much about being intimidated, especially with the fact that this gliscor has no way of being able to hit flying/levitate pokemon anyway, which would force me to switch in any case, i thought i may as well give the pokemon i switch in a fighting chance. Roost is on the set for the simple reason that i want gliscor to be able to switch in and baton pass as many times as possible.

Salamence @ Life orb
Nature: Rash
EVs 80 HP / 252 SpA / 176 Spe
Draco Meteor
Flamethrower
Brick Break
Roost

Having a mixed mence allowed me to hit things that the rest of my team some times struggle with. Draco meteor was chosen for its great power and STAB. Flamethrower i chose over fire blast for the extra accuracy, and also since flamethrower does great damage anyway. Brick break allows me to hit blissey very well which is a pokemon i can sometimes struggle with and also allows me to baton pass swords dance which can be a great help to salamence's already quite amazing attack stat. Roost was chosen for survivability since the 3 attack moves give me good coverage.

Scizor@ Life orb
Nature:Adamant
Ability: Technician
EVs176 HP / 100 Atk / 232 SpD
Pursuit
U-turn
Roost
Bullet Punch

The EV setup allow scizor to hit hard but also take hits, since its only got one weakness it's fairly easy to switch in without taking too much damage. With life orb being chosen, roost was a necessity for this scizor. Pursuit, bullet punch and U-Turn all compliment each other, not just in their type coverage but also how they are all unique moves that make switching in or out on scizor without taking much damage a very difficult thing to do.

Thanks for any feedback and would love to know if anybody sees any glaring weaknesses within the team :D

As you have blissey, I would suggest a differnet tyranitar lead.

Here is what i have been using with amazing success.

Tyranitar @ Chopple berry
252 hp/32 attack/ 224 defence
Adamant
- Stealth rock
- Payback
- Earthquake
- Counter

no common lead can OHKO you, they don't even bring you into the red, so this tyranitar is useable lategame / midgame.

Most good battlers get into the habbit with hippowdon/swampert of expecting a switch and playing it safe by using SR first turn. They then decide, oh he's staying in, too early to predict I'll EQ. Sadly for them EQ does around 50% and you counter it back, they will then be around 8% after lefties and EQ/Payback will always finish them off and you outspeed. If they do EQ first turn, no big deal you have a 50% Tyranitar. You can also beat all special leads 1 vs 1 including Starmie, shucca heatran and Roserade if it attacks you.

This gimmick lead works surprisingly well and has brought me great success.

The top ten lead being
- Azelf (Payback + SS OHKO's)
- Aerodactly (you 2hko, it can't 2hko you)
- Metagross (set up SR and then counter)
- Jirachi (run away ... unless your feeling lucky)
- Machamp (you can SR and he does like 55-75, but i would run away)
- Roserade (Payback and hope she don't sleep powder)
- Tyranitar (SR then counter)
- Infernape (EQ he does around 60% with CC, but normally won't attack)
- Ninajask ( SR then swich to a phazor, or payback to break the subs)
- Swampert ( SR then counter)

this works soo well it's unbelievable and even if they attack first turn you just switch out and your job is done anyway. It is very good, very bulky and very usefull.
