I recently learned about Trick Room teams and the potential that they possess so i thought to myself why not give it a shot. I'm open to any suggestions, rather it be completely new pokemon or different moves. Thanks in advance :D
Porygon2 @ Eviolite
Nature: Sassy
Ability: Trace
252 HP / 252 Defense / 4 Sp Defense
Trick Room
Recover
Ice Beam
Thunderbolt
Porygon2 is here because he can take pretty much any hit in the game... Brick Breaks are quite pathetic against him and if my other two trick roomers aren't looking like a good choice, Porygon2 never fails me. The part about him that really appealed to me and made me put him in is the fact that he can shut down shadow balls and other ghost moves. Also for a good majority of my time playing pokemon i ran a porygon-z and he never let me down... so i dont think that porygon2 will either. :]
Dusknoir @ Leftovers
Nature: Brave
Ability: Pressure
252 HP / 252 Defense / 4 Sp Defense
Trick Room
Will-O-Wisp
Pain Split
Earthquake
Dusknoir is in because he was one of the only ghost types I found who could use trick room and were bulky. He can take a few hits and then heal with pain split. Will-o-wisp also cripples a lot of physical attackers who try to set up. For this reason i usually save him until i see a physcial sweeper like gyrados. I began to notice that my team was easy bait for physical sweepers to just set up with either sword dance or dragon dance... not anymore. One will-o-wisp pretty much shuts down any chance they have at sweeping.
Bronzong @ Macho Brace
Nature: Adamant
Ability: Levitate
252 HP / 252 Sp Defense 4/ Defense
Trick Room
Gyro Ball
Earthquake
Explosion
Bronzong is my usual lead because he can survive pretty much every hit. I have him because he's the only guy that is really 100% reliable for setting up trick room. No one really seems to want to taunt Bronzong because most of them wont be able to survive a gyro ball to the face.. and i dont blame them. With a macho brace gyro ball becomes a really deadly move. He shrugs off overheats with a chunk of health left and then proceeds to spam gyro balls and earthquakes and then eventually explosion. Bronzong has great typing and that alone is enough reason for him to have a spot on my team.
Jellicent @ Life Orb
Nature: Quiet
Ability: Cursed Body
252 HP / 252 Sp Attack / 4 Def
Trick Room
Recover
Surf
Shadow Ball
Scizor @ Iron Ball
Nature: Adament
Ability: Technician
252 HP / 252 Attack / 4 Sp Defense
Sword Dance
Bullet Punch
Brick Break
Fling
Scizor is pretty much my secret weapon at the end of the game... I usually save him for if i cant set up trick room anymore or when I've taken care of everyone who has a fire move. While trick room is up I usually go for one or two sword dances and then either fling the iron ball or use brick break. But after it ends, I almost always use bullet punch as it destroys a good amount of pokemon who dont resist it. I liked the idea of scizor because he has so many resistances... If the opponent doesn't have a fire move he can be pretty annoying to deal with.
Machamp @ Life Orb
Nature: Lonely
Ability: No Guard
252 HP / 252 Attack / 4 Defense
Dynamic Punch
Thunder Punch
Ice Punch
Fire Punch
Machamp is a great addition to any team thanks to the elemental punches and his 100% accurate dynamicpunch. He also doesn't really need trick room to be effective... that's why i usually use him when I can't put up trick room anymore or if Marowak and Octillery aren't doing work. Once he's out i pretty much just spam Dynamic Punch unless one of the elemental punches are super effective.
