Welcome to the 1v1 Banhappy Tournament!
- General tournament rules and regulations can be found here.
- The banlist for this tournament is the same as the US/UM 1v1 ladder on the Smogon University server of Pokemon Showdown, and can be found here.
- Best of five, single elimination.
- If metagame changes occur during the middle of a round, they will take effect in the subsequent round.
- Battles must take place on Pokemon Showdown!.
- Do not make baseless activity posts; get in contact with your opponent and report missed times / scheduling issues only.
- Replays are required.
- In your signup post, you must also include one single thing that you'd like banned for the tournament.
- Note: Bans last for the entire duration of the tournament
- Bans can only be a single entity: e.g. one item, one ability, one move, one pokemon, etc. NOT an entire category, like Fire types, Berries, Z-moves, etc.
- With each round you win, you must also post another ban for the next round.
- After taking into consideration the chaos of ban changes that occurred during signups, bans are now final as soon as I add them to the list, in the interest of not allowing people to change their bans at the last minute before deadline.
- Not adhering to the banlist will result in that battle being counted as a loss, or a tie if both players ignore the banlist.
- If a game in a series is ruled as a tie, then the players involved will be required to reschedule in order to replay the tied games, adhering to the banlist this time.

To do this, all you need to do is:
- type /makegroupchat [chat name] on Pokemon Showdown
- in the newly made groupchat, type /tour new, gen71v1, elimination to make a tournament
- copy and paste the tour rules command with all the bans copied
- voila, you should now be able to use the tournament validator to see if your teams are legal for the Banhappy Tournament
