Gardevoir @ Leftovers
Ability: Trace
EVs: 56 HP / 252 Def / 200 Spe
Timid Nature
- Protect
- Encore
- Disable
- Moonblast

In 1v1, many Pokemon Struggle to get through Gardevoir! Protect allows Gardevoir to avoid moves that would otherwise OHKO it, like Aggron’s Heavy Slam, which it can then block with Disable. Gardevoir then waits for Disable to expire, then locks opponents into Struggle with Encore and Disable. This, with Moonblast chip damage, KOes many foes before they are allowed to move again. Trace uses the opponent’s ability against them: Prankster allows Gardevoir to use Encore on Whimsicott before it moves, Aroma Veil avoids Aromatisse’s own Encore + Disable shenanigans, and Flash Fire can sometimes cheese Heatran. Gardevoir relies on its Speed and bulk to effectively lock the opponent; faster threats like Landorus or Dragapult neutralize Gardevoir, while Fire- and Steel-types resist Moonblast and do heavy damage back. Priority users such as Assault Vest Azumarill can play around Disable as well. Speedy teammates like Zeraora and Ground-types such as Landorus-T help cover these weaknesses.

e: quick feedback
- where are the evs and the moveset!
- I’d like to see a brief mention of how to beat custap prim as gard
- try to reword the lando part in some way due to sd, cb who is faster etc a lot of factors based on trace and intim stuff (probs not necessary to go full in depth but try to make it seem as if gard doesn’t win all of the time which it doesn’t.
- if u still have space add teammates for gardevoir
- “Gardevoir’s ability is equally despicable.” probably should cut as it isn’t necessary
- p good in general 1/1
