not giving reasoning this week but excited to see some good bw/dpp gameplay holy fuck half of the games are bw and dpp this is my personal heaven

Top Cut Toucannons vs Go-Go Gogoats
SS 1v1 Bo7: luser vs Close
SM 1v1 Bo7: Kry vs Felucia - Durant stocks have been on the rise lately
ORAS 1v1: Synonimous vs cakeezz swag edition
BW 1v1: Waylaid vs Sificon
DPP 1v1: Mcthelegit vs prunyy - no disrespect but I do not know who either of these people are
ADV 1v1: Marshme1to vs Blanched - marsh proved me wrong before, this time I'm backing him
DPP 1v1: Jabiru vs Call me PK
BW 1v1: lemonstre1 vs stravench

SS 1v1 Bo7: luser vs Close - Close is the better player, but I'm rooting for luser
SM 1v1 Bo7: Kry vs Felucia - Afaik Kry is still a relatively newer SM player, and he's against someone who's been playing it since day 1. Will be a fire series regardless
ORAS 1v1: Synonimous vs cakeezz swag edition - Synon forms the clear upper echelon of the ORAS pool
BW 1v1: Waylaid vs Sificon - He did it in cup he can do it here
DPP 1v1: Mcthelegit vs prunyy - Admittedly I'm biased towards MC given how much I've played alongside him, but he's in an unfamiliar tier whose resources are not all that great. This is a battle of the clickers, and I'm excited to see who does the g3 hyperventilation.
ADV 1v1: Marshme1to vs Blanched - Blanched is great at the game but I believe in marsh.
DPP 1v1: Jabiru vs Call me PK - I've been saying this guy has been a cheat code for a while now. PK's understanding of old gens is great, and while DPP is his clear weakness, he can still navigate a preview well enough to win, like he has done twice so far in this tier.
BW 1v1: lemonstre1 vs stravench - Stravench.

Looking like a really fun semis!

Oh, now we're talking. Here’s a list of the absolute nonsense that will (probably) happen during this match:

SS 1v1 Bo7: luser vs Close

  • Close brings all HO teams, but luser somehow brings the exact counter into three straight games.
  • One game ends because of a Speed tie on a Choice Scarf Ditto mirror—neither player acknowledges it in post-game chat.
  • At some point, Close gets frozen for five turns, complains about it, then immediately lands a 30% burn that wins them the set.

SM 1v1 Bo7: Kry vs Felucia

  • Z-Move miss mindgames—Kry brings Substitute in every game, and Felucia brings Taunt into every Substitute.
  • Kry misclicks and locks into a non-attacking move on the last turn of a game.
  • At some point, someone will accidentally bring a non-legal set, resulting in a replay where the new set immediately loses.

ORAS 1v1: Synonimous vs cakeezz swag edition

  • One of them forgets to nickname their team, leading to rampant paranoia about counter-teaming.
  • Game ends because of a roll that was literally 99.9% to KO but left the opponent on 1 HP.
  • Someone gets Encore-trapped by a set nobody uses anymore, leading to a three-minute timer stall.

BW 1v1: Waylaid vs Sificon

  • Waylaid brings a stall team in BW 1v1, which is basically a war crime.
  • Sificon wins Game 1 on a double Protect roll and Waylaid starts typing an essay in the chat before stopping.
  • A crucial game ends because someone forgets Custap mechanics.

DPP 1v1: Mcthelegit vs prunyy

  • Someone brings Choice Band Registeel and wins.
  • A game is lost because of Pressure PP stalling, which nobody in 2025 should be doing anymore.
  • McTheLegit schedules but forgets what time zone he’s in, leading to an awkward "u there?" message at 2 AM.

ADV 1v1: Marshme1to vs Blanched

  • Marshme1to doesn’t realize Daylight Savings Time hit and shows up an hour late, causing absolute chaos.
  • A game is decided by Fire Blast missing three times in a row, leading to Blanched typing "LOL" and nothing else in chat.
  • Marshme1to forgets Counter exists and gets one-shot by it in Game 3.

DPP 1v1: Jabiru vs Call me PK

  • Jabiru tries to stall out a game but accidentally runs out of PP before the opponent does.
  • Call me PK accidentally loads the wrong team but wins anyway.
  • Someone plays the entire set muted and never replies to any scheduling messages except "ok."

BW 1v1: lemonstre1 vs stravench

  • Stravench gets absolutely destroyed by hax in Game 1, then wins Game 2 on a 10% flinch chance and says, "we take those."
  • lemonstre1 brings a Mono-Ghost team into a Mono-Normal team and Game 3 is an instant forfeit.
  • At some point, someone wins because of a Fire Blast burn into a full para into a crit, and we all pretend it was a skill issue.

BONUS Nonsense That’s Definitely Happening

  • Someone gets subbed out literally one hour before their match, and the new player doesn’t even know they’re playing.
  • A match gets played on a phone, leading to at least one accidental Struggle PP stall.
  • Someone posts "GGs" in the tour thread before the set is even finished, jinxing themselves instantly.
  • A match starts, but one of the players doesn’t realize it’s Bo7 and just leaves after Game 3.
  • The wrong replays get posted in the thread, leading to at least 10 minutes of confusion.
  • At least one player forgets to bring Tera Blast in SS 1v1 and loses because of it.

This is shaping up to be absolute peak 1v1 nonsense.

1v1 has peaked in our usage of chatgpt

If I squint at my screen, I could probably see some form of karmic justice with the memo that the holding hands friend circle fake nice teams made playoffs and those led by RTM and Kaif did not, but we are in the playoffs now!

Mini eulogies:

Cramorants: </3

Nidoqueen’s Gambit: SEU without the luck magic of Radu and the clutch power of Close might not have been the dream team, but I’m sure you’ll get them next time! This squad just looked like a collection of too green players or players with middling records with some steals (zo, gorilaa and Jamez) just left figuring things out. I would have been more surprised if they made playoffs but you really need either mass builders or lots of clutch factor on your team to have a shot of winning and there didn’t look like a ton of that here.

TFTs: 2 4-0s into out of the tour is crazy. TBH this roster probably should’ve just slotted differently W1. A bizarro world crow crumbs SM and eblurb ORAS probably would’ve led to more actual investment in building ORAS which was this team’s fault line despite flexing it 20939 times. Thanos, ADV Thanos, and Thanos Jr were able to find the 1/16 lines to keep their streak alive. Ultimately motivation is the killer of tours and raw talent alone might not just be enough. <3 you still boos shoutouts mentality for scouting for us and estra for keeping our season alive by super subbing to beat felucia LOL.

Vulpixes: I can only imagine team synergy was at its highest when RTM spent 20k on someone that blocked him LOL. Tbh I think both drip and radu were on chill mode this tour so it was up to the captains to make sure things were going well and after reading some… uh… chat logs… uh yeah no doubt playoffs were not made. This had the highest upside on paper tbh but I feel like this team suffered from the same issue TFTs had, where half of them probably didn’t give a fuck and some ppl who did eh probably lost motivation. Except for dannydoritos that guy needs to bring back the stolen artifact that his ancestors stole somewhere after wtf happened to him this tour LOL.

Kk onto the predicts:

TFT Team B Toucannons (5) vs Roster Rotational Row-RowYourBoats (3)

SS 1v1 Bo7: luser vs Close - Bro it’s close lol. Even though he had his fair share of good luck this tour lets not be silly
SM 1v1 Bo7: Kry vs Felucia - I actually am surprised by the RowYourBoats slotting in Felucia here, despite if I was told by god that I needed recti to win on the line in SS7 or I’d die, I’d probably just say my prayers to land myself in heaven at that point. Still, recti has had a 4-1 season and even washed up luser before (through some deja vu rotom heat brings), so I’d take that. Besides I’d just assume close has a 70% of winning vs anyone so that’s where I’d put here.
ORAS 1v1: Synonimous vs cakeezz swag edition - Gogoats oras has been surprisingly durable but it is Syno who like hasn’t lost in playoffs for years? Kinda rooting for cakeezz cos syno was mean to emil yesterday ):
BW 1v1: Waylaid vs Sificon - Despite waylaid snaking emil for a useless ass series that meant basically nothing (cmon after seeing the nidoqueens w5 lineup let’s not pretend we had hope of them winning LOL), he finds himself in the trenches of BW this week. While neomon or whoever tf supports the Gogoats BW seems to be doing fine on average, they probably should’ve just started Sificon W1 instead of seeing if ZackPalace could turn around his 0-X team tour deficit. I think experience will break this 1.
DPP 1v1: Mcthelegit vs prunyy - This guy has been surprisingly legit* (in tiers renowned for a large skill difference, such as DPP and GSC). Idk who cooked that custap zapdos on Toucannons that I saw MC use but I stole it LOL. Made me quiver on my screen when it worked too
ADV 1v1: Marshme1to vs Blanched - Ok surely we’re in playoffs now so Blanched will give a fuck? Right? I was talking about player quality with my friend crow crumbs and he called me “you’re a B tier player, id basically say you’re marshmelto on steroids” so surely blanched can beat a pure natty marshmelto?
DPP 1v1: Jabiru vs Call me PK - I don’t really like rooting for euphonos jr teams like pinsir gengar sceptile (seriously wtf) but IMO when Jabiru isn’t trolling he seems pretty good. Toucannons DPP has been pretty fire so I agree with their pick here. Neomon thinks Call me PK is like the second coming of Jesus or something but if he’s Jesus then Jabiru is the entire Roman army
BW 1v1: lemonstre1 vs stravench - This isn’t a prediction that reflects player quality, but more in that I think by week 5 stravench may have prayed his bad luck away. Also BW has no justification to ever load lanturn, not once but twice, so this tier should favor the pick.

Should be a fun(ny) series! Hopefully the winner doesn’t get totally rolled by the Spectres after this

Top Cut Toucannons (5) vs (3) Go-Go Gogoats

SS 1v1 Bo7: luser vs Close

It goes without saying close in ss bo7 is dangerous, however, I've been much more impressed by the ss teams luser has brought. Despite the middling results, I want to give luser the edge in this matchup. From what I've witnessed, luser often wins or loses his series in the builder. Depending on if he actually cares, which he probably does, I favour luser here.

SM 1v1 Bo7: Kry vs Felucia

In my opinion, Felucia should have benched herself, gone to dpp jail instead of prunyy or bw jail over sificon. I'm unaware of recti's situation but you have a 4-1 player who has played mostly sm bo7 and a 4-1 ss7 player. Felucia is 1-2 in sm this tour, with her one win being podra without teams. Kry won the matchup earlier in this tour, and the larger series size should make it harder for felucia to close this gap. While it's not a certain thing, I have Kry winning this. I'd unironically sub swordisbored in here but his managers are unfamiliar with his game.

ORAS 1v1: Synonimous vs cakeezz swag edition

Swordisbored should 100% be slotted here. Without his help (an anonymous source has told me) they would have brought teams 3-0d by gardevoir, mawile, gyarados and gengar (in one series). With that said, I predict the upset, sword will be dialled in rebuilding cakeezz teams that are 3-0d by S tiers, and through his Midas touch and cake swag edition's unparalleled clicking brilliance they should dismantle the oras goliath that is synonimous.

BW 1v1: Waylaid vs Sificon

Sificon has never particularly impressed me, whereas if you told me waylaid won bw cup at some point I'd believe you. I'll always support non bw mainers playing bw since they usually bring teams that are fundamentally solid, rather than deranged Taka/Hungryfoodies-core teams. Sificon's bw engine also isn't super strong and while toucannons bw lowkey doesn't exist, I still favour them in the building department. For these reasons I think Waylaid should have it.

DPP 1v1: Mcthelegit vs prunyy

Mcthelegit has better support and is better at rps than prunyy who is 1-2 and hasn't played dpp yet this tour. Feel free to prove me wrong, if you want to steal a win randomly, this would be the tier to do it.

ADV 1v1: Marshme1to vs Blanched

Marsh won the head-to-head and I don't think this mu is worth overthinking. Blanched could definitely pull it off but Marsh seemed to have adv Blanched figured out week 1 without him having even played adv yet. This will probably a pretty good series to watch.

DPP 1v1: Jabiru vs Call me PK

Call me PK has been pretty consistent as of late, which historically has been their biggest issue. Jabiru hasn't played much, but I do have a lot of faith in their playing ability. Call me PK is coming in with momentum however and Jabiru didn't play last week and lost week 4. There's always an element of unpredictability in Jabiru's series but I'm taking PK to win this one.

BW 1v1: lemonstre1 vs stravench

Stravench has been playing fairly mediocre this tour imo, hax aside, however he seems to have found his footing in BW with a convincing win last week. Lemonstre has shown they can win games but I'm taking strav as he is self sufficient and I'm uncertain where lemonstre would even get their teams from.
