It's time for the our first annual 1v1CL, starting off with deciding team managers. Only post in this thread if you would like to sign up to manage a team, player signups will be released after managers have been chosen. Everyone is required to sign up if you wish to manage with no exceptions. You are allowed to sign up as a solo manager (i.e. you do not necessarily have to sign up with an assistant manager.) Managers will be chosen based on a number of factors, such as prior experience in team tour leadership, experience with the 1v1 metagame, and general good behavior on Smogon and PS!. The following format should be used:

Why would you be a good manager? (Prior experience + any other additional details):

*Note: There are no official franchises or team names, however, previous team names are encouraged to be reused.

There will be a total of 6 teams. Playoffs will feature the top 3 seeds. The #1 seed gets a bye while the #2 and #3 seeds will fight in the semifinals.

Manager signups will close January 11th. The hosts (lost heros, luser , Nuxl ) will announce the selected managers and open player signups shortly afterwards.

Why would you be a good manager? (Prior experience + any other additional details): I have a lot of knowledge of the playerbase and the 1v1 metagame in general, including participating in OGPL 2, going 1-0 in SS, and participating in 1v1 WC. I have shadow-managed the first edition of UUbersPL, where the Soul Strikers made it to the Semis, so I have an idea of what responsibilities are as a manager and the time commitment required; meanwhile, Elo Bandits' resume is near endless. He has managed numerous 1v1 tours and has contributed to multiple tiers in 1v1, either as a council member or as a tier leader in multiple old gens. We promise to provide a healthy environment for the team and be an active part in the tour.

Why would you be a good manager? (Prior experience + any other additional details): I co-managed Team Europe in WC and lead 1v1UU, with Anonymous co-managing Team USA. While our previous managerial experience is not overly extensive, we are both active presences in 1v1, anon is generally well respected, and we are both excited to lead the Nidoqueens to a Grandmaster title in OGPL 4 CL 1.

Why would you be a good manager? (Prior experience + any other additional details): I'm an oldie in 1v1 that has been in a plethora of team tours even outside of 1v1. While my results have been unsteller as of late...I have great knowledge of most 1v1 gens and have been a manager for 1v1pl once and won and managed some team tours outside of 1v1 including lgpl, natdexwc 1 and one omfl. I believe I can lead a team well, help my players out, and make my team an excellent experience for them. Indi01 will be a great co manager to help out with gen 9 1v1 and can help exist with older gens/test games.

Why would you be a good manager?: I managed in the last edition of OGPL with Luser and we managed to make it all the way to finals with no managing experience. I’ve also had experience in most of these formats playing in multiple classics including a classic finals and have played numerous team tours in the past, including winning a pl, and am an adv council member. I think that I can bring more as a manager this time around.
Frogfacts has recently played for NEU this past WC, taking them to semis while supporting multiple slots other than his own, and has experience in many of these formats, having won multiple classic cups and played sv in wc and LT playoffs, while also being an active member of the community.

Why would you be a good manager? (Prior experience + any other additional details): I've managed 1v1WC IX, UMBD, 1v1WC VIII, and 1v1PL VIII. Mist is largely inexperienced, however his actions that have led him to 1v1 Room Moderator in PS! (as well as some other staff positions in Trick House and CAP Project), and great records in 1v1PL and 1v1WC, are undeniable, and that's why I think he's one of the better newer fits for the role. In terms of leadership, he also leads CAP 1v1, which is emblematic of his connection to 1v1 and CAP. Overall I believe that we can make a good team and we look forward to managing!
