Set Details
========
* Gengar is a fast and frail attacker with good supporting qualities, using Shadow Ball to hit two of the most popular Pokemon in the format, Latios and Cresselia. On top of this, it can use its deep supporting movepool to disrupt the opposing team, though it is easily beat by Trick Room and is very frail.

* Icy Wind is able to slow down foes, allowing allies such as Latios to avoid speed ties with opposing Latios and outrun foes such as Infernape that would otherwise outspeed it. Taunt is useful to prevent Trick Room from opposing Cresselia and Bronzong and Thunder Wave from Zapdos while also shutting down less common things such as Calm Mind Latios.

* Other options that are not listed like Explosion can be used for solid damage and getting in an ally safely. Rain Dance is another option to support Ludicolo, meanwhile Perish Song can be used to remove troublesome foes. These moves tend to be inconsistent however, though they can be used if needed.

* Focus Sash is the main item of choice on Gengar, helping with its frail build and allowing it to pretty much guarantee getting at least one attack off. Swapping with Life Orb gives Gengar extra power, allowing it to OHKO Latios. Lum Berry can also be used as an extra precaution against Thunder Wave Pokemon like Zapdos and Cresselia, though it is generally better preserved for a different Pokemon like Metagross.

* The given EV spread maximizes Gengar's Speed and Special Attack, making sure it is as fast and strong as possible.

Teambuilding
=========
* Gengar, having a solid matchup into Latios and providing solid speed control, works best on balance teams that appreciate said speed control. Pokemon with middling speed like Heatran can then outspeed Pokemon like Zapdos. Gengar also works well on set up spam teams, using Taunt to prevent foes like Infernape from using Encore and slowing down foes so the set up Pokemon like Suicune can sweep. more easily.

* Gengar struggles to deal meaningful damage to lots of the tier, notably Bronzong, Metagross, Zapdos, and Heatran.

*Mention the good partners and link them back to the pokemon's weaknesses and checks
