CHAMPS PREDICTS HYPE WOOOOOOOOO

XSTATIC COLD (1) vs (Tiebreak Winner) (16) In an even fight, XSC generally has the edge by means of competent coinflipping, though considering all of his potential opponents here, I'd say he has a notable edge in experience as well, having been around for a lot more of the DLC2 meta, from what I can tell.

eblurb (2) vs toadandhishaxx (15) eblurb showed us that he is in fact capable of slowing down and thinking things out, which led to his victory by the narrowest of margins in the recent Classic. That said, I cant really say how much I've seen from either of these two when it comes to DLC2 experience, so I'll have to put it in the corner of the person with the greatest results.

Close (3) vs Scraftionite (14) Both have shown strong proficiency when it comes to making well thought out picks. That said, not only has Scraftionite not really been all too active in the DLC2 metagame from what I can tell, he's also going up against someone who likely will be receiving loads of support from his fellow SEU members, so I have to mark this one up for Close.

Maki (4) vs smely socks (13) An extremely tight bout here, as both have put up notable results in tours, both in current and older generations. This is likely gonna be the most evenly matched fight of the bunch, I feel, which means that external support could very likely be the deciding factor here, to which I believe smely socks likely has the stronger base built around him.

Here comes team Charm! (5) vs Squirtell 1v1 (12) Even if it's not his specialty generation, Squirtell is still a very competent opponent, with picking skills right up there with many of the greats. HCTC is no pushover either, especially given their recent Seasonal win, and could absolutely take the win here for themselves, though I feel a lot of the battle here is going to be more in the mindgames at preview than it will be in the builder, to which I feel Squirtell has the edge in this matchup.

Le Creme Brule (6) vs Mubs (11) Kebia's consistent activity works to her advantage here, combined with her capacity to build makes her a threat who's hard to prepare for. Mubs will have to stay on his toes to make sure he isn't caught off guard. While he does have the capacity to win, I've no clue how he intends to approach this fight. Anything is possible in this matchup, so I wouldn't say Kebia's a shoe-in, but things do look to be in her favor here.

SiceXV (7) vs Nalei (10) Can't help but feel like I've seen this matchup somewhere before- Nalei's won before, and given her current commitment to DLC2 I have no reason to suspect she won't do it again. Sice is still a rather tricky opponent, and could very well take this depending on how well supported he is, though I'd say it's an uphill battle to say the least.

tears (8) vs WailJesus (9) Both have had solid SS showings thus far, though both showings were also prior to DLC2. The playing field is pretty level here, I'd say, so what it's gonna likely boil down to is support and style, to which I feel tears has a slight edge in both. The way tears has won his games before is pretty indicative of a more surprise-oriented style, which I feel has a strong matchup against Wail's strategy of solid teams with solid picks. The winner here will likely be whoever is better suited at expecting the unexpected.

Tiebreak

Adela vs Aliss I have honestly not watched an SS series from either of these two, nor am I aware of how much DLC2 they have experience with. In this case, I'm just gonna mark it up for the person with vastly more smogon tournament experience, though naturally it could go either way.

DenisTheMenace vs Waylaid It's hard to knock Denis's consistency at performing. While he may not be all too avid of a builder, his prowess at team preview picking cannot be denied. Waylaid's gonna need to put his advantage in teambuilding capacity to use, so that way he can mitigate the effect of good picks as much as he can, though given how Denis will likely be receiving SEU support alongside Close, this may very well show to be an uphill battle for Waylaid.

funny predicts

Round of 16

XSTATIC COLD (1)
vs (Tiebreak Winner) (16) it does not matter who steps up to the field, they are getting smashed.
eblurb (2) vs toadandhishaxx (15) eblurb effect.
Close (3) vs Scraftionite (14) the winner of classic if eblurb didn't get ghosted, lets just ignore how this tour has 0 oldgens
Maki (4) vs smely socks (13) I hate furries, but maki is gonna luck this series so it's not going to be surprising when he moves on
Here comes team Charm! (5) vs Squirtell 1v1 (12) most recent ssnl winner goes woo
Le Creme Brule (6) vs Mubs (11) I'm bringing popcorn to this game hl of my life
SiceXV (7) vs Nalei (10) SICE IS GOING TO BREAK FREE FROM THE 0-8 TRUST.... and I'll be right there to watch as he goes 0-3
tears (8) vs WailJesus (9) tears told me to bold whoever I think is going to win, so I'm going to do the exact opposite and vote for the person I think is going to lose.

Tiebreak

Adela vs Aliss I dont know who adela is,but I do know who aliss is.
DenisTheMenace vs Waylaid this is going to be a good battle, but waylaid pfp is better then denis which gives him the edge

Here we go for some more predicts :

Tiebreak games :
Adela vs Aliss : Adela will surely be willing to do good but they've played little to none dlc 2 gen 8 1v1, which will give the upper hand to Aliss.
DenisTheMenace vs Waylaid : We all know how fantastic of a 1v1 player Denis is when he's at his best, but dlc2's seen his motivation fade a bit, added to the fact he didn't play the meta a whole lot either. Considering this, Waylaid looks like the safe pick. Denis, if you see this, know that I'll be rooting for you tho, and I hope you'll prove me wrong.

Round of 16 games :
XSTATIC COLD (1) vs (Tiebreak Winner) (16) : I don't think any of the tiebreak players can really push xsc to his limits, he's motivated and getting gradually better at the dlc2 metagame, so he should be taking that one.
eblurb (2) vs toadandhishaxx (15) : not that I wanted by the smallest bit to bold eblurb here, but... I'm only following common sense. toad just doesn't play any dlc 2 meta at all, so I don't see how he could win a series vs eblurb in that particular meta.
Close (3) vs Scraftionite (14) : Don't really know how well Scraftionite can do in dlc2, so I'm assuming Close has the ability to take this series.
Maki (4) vs smely socks (13) : Maki would have to beat smely in his lair, which I don't see happening. There are not a lot of players who can wipe out smely playing gen 8, and while Maki sure is no pushover, I don't thing he's got what it takes to win.
Here comes team Charm! (5) vs Squirtell 1v1 (12) : This is likely to be a very tight series, with 2 really good players facing, but once again I'll go with the gen 8 main winning this. Hctc has recently won seasonal as everybody knows, and I think the streak will go on at least for this round in championship.
Le Creme Brule (6) vs Mubs (11) : I might be wrong on this one, but, not really knowing kebia's dlc2 skills, I'll bold Mubs assuming he's got the additional spark of motivation to prepare better and take the series.
SiceXV (7) vs Nalei (10) : On that one, I can't really tell. Both players have been doing really good in gen 8, seems of close-to-equal skill, so it could really go either way.
tears (8) vs WailJesus (9) : while WailJesus's been the one to perform more recently, it was still dlc1, and I think tears's level is overall slightly above his opponent's, reason why I'm bolding him.

Everyone is blind and these predicts are awful so far time to pull up with STABLE PREDICTS that have actual reasoning.

Tiebreak

Adela
vs Aliss IF they play, otherwise Aliss wins. Realistically it's not difficult to beat Aliss in SS given how she has barely played anything of DLC2. I'm assuming none of you dummies even watched Adela replays cause they are a build solid pick solid player which works pretty well against Aliss. She also tilts easily so as soon as Adela gets one (1) flinch/crit the series is a wrap. Unless, of course, Aliss gets act, in that case w/e 55/45
DenisTheMenace vs Waylaid honestly why even are people predicting against Denis so much? Waylaid is like, 0-X against italians and romanians in tours (lost to me in pl3, lost to solar in pl4, lost to close in wc4, lost to me again in no johns), and Denis's picking ability is over the charts. Denis's problem was always that his teams were somewhat underwhelming compared to his potential but with STABLESUPPORT this issue will be GONE. Good luck nerd Waylaid you'll need it Denis is winning this whole ass shit unless Close is. 30/70

Playoff matches

XSTATIC COLD (1) vs (Tiebreak Winner) (16) (DenisTheMenace) Assuming I'm right and Denis wins tiebreak I predict him to also beat XSC. However solid the man might be I think SS DLC2 just doesn't quite suit him the same way every tier has before. This isn't to say that he's bad, but he'll need quite a bit of more time before actually reaching the potential he can reach. Still 45/55
eblurb (2) vs toadandhishaxx (15) eblurb is a build solid pick solid the way to beat him is to make ridiculous but not obvious lure sets which toad wouldn't be able to do due to lack of meta knowledge. Even if he gets support from like, dom, per say, idt he would be able to build the lures needed to carry toad. Of course, toad can always straight outpick, but I doubt he even has the willpower to open the set compendium or damage calc while playing so he'll have no idea what the mon in front of him is running. Give this a 65/35
Close (3) vs Scraftionite (14) Ursas are on the verge of death when it comes to how much they care about 1v1 so Scraftionite's SS support is gonna be close to nonexistent, and either way not enough to take Close down. He'd have to get like extremely lucky and get a 3-0 in like 2/3 games. 70/30
Maki (4) vs smely socks (13) This is a way closer MU than it looks like at first glance, both players build and play in a similar way, and while smely has more metagame knowledge, Maki is the one to have access/ask for more support. I'm giving this to smely purely on the fact that he cares more. Like, incredibly so, this man would pull up with the Kaneki pfp if he lost. 45/55
Here comes team Charm! (5) vs Squirtell 1v1 (12) unviable ssnl winners exposed welcome to the first episode and let's see what we have here... While Charm might have the upper hand given the higher amount of sheer games played and meta knowledge, the 2 week deadline is gonna allow Squirtell to catch up with that metagame knowledge. Charm also probably has no intel on how Squirtell is most likely gonna build so this will be an interesting show. This is really close nonetheless and it was hard for me to pick Squirtell over my PUPIL (who rejected his own sensei, it's okay, charm is just going through their villain arc). 49/51
Le Creme Brule (6) vs Mubs (11) welcome to the second iteration of unviable ssnl winners exposed! In this episode we see an AllFourtyOne very out of their element. It's gonna be easy for VG to get extremely cocky in a metagame they have no idea how to navigate (as shown by her incredibly questionable contributions in the SS Viability Rankings that remain unsolved to this day) and I can tell you from experience, getting cocky against Mubs isn't gonna get you very far. Additional prediction: I expect the series to go to game 5 and VG to choke game 1 or 2. 40/60
SiceXV (7) vs Nalei (10) Curse against LGBT users bla bla bla w/e. Sice wouldn't be able to win either way. Nalei is a very very annoying player to face, and while she might not be that amazing she is still difficult to beat. She plays a large amount of weird sets and unseeming lures that can catch people super off guard (I've experienced this on my own skin). You need a large amount of metagame knowledge at preview (not in the builder, team support won't rly help you) to not fall for these gimmicks, and Sice simply does not have that, unless he gets ghosted but Sice is like heavily against ghosting (and I'm not even referring to current events, just in general). 20/80
tears (8) vs WailJesus (9) These two seem like two of the worst people in the playoffs pool so it seems weird for them to be middle of the seedings. Wail is probably not gonna care all that much and has played extremely little, and he also has some of the worst support on the list. On the other hand I've had tears on the ZVR council and discussed SS with him multiple times and he quite knows what he's talking about. Sorry Wail, 70/30

Hello, this is Elvis Duran and The Morning Show featuring Danielle Monaro and here are the predictions:

Tiebreak:

1606616627587.png
Adela vs Aliss
1606616748236.png

Not sure how much either has played current SS, but Adela did pretty well in seasonal while I'm not sure how motivated alice is when it comes to 1v1 these days.
Also: [9:27 PM] smely socks ❤: Adela Is Winning Champs

1606616233970.png
DenisTheMenace vs Waylaid
1606616497455.png

I am really unsure whether Denis cares or not but considering how they were robbed of a spot due to classic points and him getting an opportunity to get that spot back I can seem them working to pull off a win here. While the resume of each player here is somewhat similar I feel that Denis is both the better raw talent and the more invested in the current SS metagame.

Main Bracket:

1606618604667.png
XSTATIC COLD (1) vs (Tiebreak Winner) (16)

The most likely person to come out of the tiebreak is either Denis or Adela. As for how XSC would fare vs the both, Adela loses, Denis is interesting. Personally I'd say Denis is likely one of the best checks to an SS XSTATIC COLD in the entire tournament scene and I'm not sure where the motivation of XSC lies hearing comments of his dwindling care, but frankly I'd have to bold XSC here due to prep advantage. It'll definitely be a fun series to watch, and I'd like to see where frita members side in such a matchup.

1606619339926.png
eblurb (2) vs toadandhishaxx (15)
1606619501675.png

Yes, eblurb just won 1v1 classic, but I'm pretty sure toad has access to the voice call so it's perdemos.

1606619720377.png
Close (3) vs Scraftionite(14)
1606619887302.png

Scraft is a homie, but frankly I don't see them prepping/being motivated enough to beat Close in SS, so they're probably be passed teams. Still think close wins this, but it's going to be a fun series to watch regardless.

1606620304111.png
Maki (4) vs smely socks (13)
1606620597849.png

Both are very talented pickers, but smely socks is also a very potent SS builder and the more invested in the current SS metagame. I have no doubt that Maki will make this a very competitive series (or uncompetitive factoring whatever hax they'll get g3) but I'm going to have to go with smely here. Also if my computer autocorrects to smelly one more fucking time

1606622024188.png
Here comes team Charm! (5) vs Squirtell 1v1 (12)
1606622080731.png

Don't know who to bold here. Both are very talented players with HCTC winning the recent 1v1 seasonal, and Squirtell's results in other generations has shown to translate to SS to a good degree.

1606621929128.png
Le Creme Brule
(6) vs Mubs (11)
1606621848700.png

Frankly it depends on how much either of us care. I'm Mubs21/ Pokesartoolcay so I automatically bold the opposing user, but it'll probably either be a 5 or 3 game series.

1606621756959.png
SiceXV (7) vs Nalei (10)
1606621652584.png

Sice is an eastie, but you know.. who Nalei is, and by proxy, you should know why I'm bolding them.

tears (8) vs WailJesus (9)
(couldn't find pics)

I haven't really watched either of them play recently but they're both pretty good players. The sterotypical close 8v9 match.

AND , Bloodmoon #blood moon. That's dumb.

Yet, trying to impersonate me in order to discredit me, is sad.
