Congratulations to all 17 of you on making it to the 2022 NU Circuit Playoffs! I wish you all the best of luck, but only one of you will be going home with the ribbon. It's been a long and kind of turbulent year for NU, but I hope that this final tournament of Sword and Shield puts a nice ribbon on this tier going into Scarlet and Violet. Again, good luck to everyone, you've all earned this chance to fight for the ribbon!

Rules
  • This is a standard Gen 8 SS NU tournament.
  • This tournament will be Single Elimination.
  • All rounds will be Bo3.
  • You may switch teams in between battles of the same set.
  • Matches are to be played on Pokemon Showdown; you must play on either Smogtours or the main server.
  • Replays are mandatory for each game you play! I recommend playing on Smogtours so that they are automatically saved. DO NOT HIDE YOUR REPLAYS.
Standard Rules and Clauses:

  • Species Clause: A player cannot have two Pokemon with the same PokeDex number on his team.
  • Sleep Clause: You cannot inflict sleep upon more than one member of the opposing team.
  • Evasion Clause: The moves Double Team and Minimize are banned.
  • OHKO Clause: The moves Horn Drill, Guillotine, Sheer Cold, and Fissure are banned.
  • Endless Battle Clause: Anything capable of intentionally creating an endless battle is banned.
  • Other Smogon tournament rules also apply.
