Similar to the ones many other communities have, I'm running the annual DOU Awards!
I've actually ran it for the past few years through Discord only, and neglected to post about it on the forums, but here's a link to the previous years' results if you'd like to look back: 2021 Awards Results, 2022 Awards Results, 2023 Awards Results.
If you're unfamiliar with the concept, then allow me to explain: there are a number of categories ranging from more competitive (as of this year I have split the form into two sections to help with organisation) which in the first stage nominations will be made for, to be collated by me to select the options on the final voting form. If you don't want to make any nominations but just want to vote, or just want to wait and see the results, that's totally okay! It's also fine to nominate and vote for as few or as many categories as you like, depending on how much time you want to spend or how knowledgable enough you feel. Categories range from the more serious such as "SV DOU Player of the Year" and "Best Team Builder", to more light-hearted ones like "Luckiest Player" or "Funniest User", across a range of topics such as tournaments, art, pets, and fun hypotheticals. If you are interested in getting involved at all, remember to try and base your answer on just the last year if possible, but most importantly, remember to have fun!
With all that said, this(finally) marks the beginning of the nomination stage for the 2024 DOU Awards! Since it's currently mid-week, nominations will remain open until Sunday 2nd February, 11:59pm +0 with the voting stage to go up shortly after.
