FAQ
1. What is National Dex Doubles Ladder Tournament?
In this tournament players will create fresh accounts and try to obtain the highest ranking on the ladder as possible. The highest ranking qualifiers from each week will qualify for the single elimination stage of the tournament. There will be four weeks with four players qualifying each week. Players may only qualify once, leading to a 16 player single elimination stage. The single elimination rounds will be played in a best-of-three format with players seeded based on their qualifying Elo.
2. What is National Dex Doubles Double Elimination?
This is an unseeded double elimination tournament where players will remain in the tournament until they lose two sets. As with all tournaments, you may switch teams between games. Sets will be played in a best-of-three format.
3. What is National Dex Doubles Swiss?
This will be a Swiss-styled tournament. We will not be locking in the exact format (number of rounds and record required for top cut) until signups, as previous Swiss tournaments have had to make changes to the duration of the tournament. We are expecting between five to six rounds of Swiss, followed by a top cut where players with an X-2 record will qualify. Top cut will be played in a single elimination format.
4. What is NDPL?
The National Dex Premier League is a team tournament where eight starters from each team face off in a best-of-one battle each week. The player with the most wins in the regular season will receive an invite to the National Dex Doubles Circuit Championship. This invite is not passed down to the second best player if the player with the best record has already qualified.
5. What is a Profile Banner?
It looks like this! It lasts for one year, until the next champion is crowned.
