We're here to announce the 2025 Ubers circuit! The circuit is a collection of individual tournaments spread throughout the year with varying classifications, generations, with and formats all coming together to allow players to earn points for the final showdown - the Ubers Championship, where the top 16 performers will battle to earn the Ubers Ribbon (

)! This ribbon displays on a user's profile complete with hover text to showcasing their achievement as the top Ubers player of 2025. This thread will also give information on the details behind the tournaments that have been revamped from 2024.

Changes from the 2024 to 2025 circuit

We've re-added flying economy back to the circuit as a type C tournament after a year off. Taking place early in the year we're hoping it will be a more interesting twist on SV for a small amount of circuit points in a time before we get flooded with tournaments once classic starts then we move into summer with open, ULT, UPL, etc. It was a player favourite for the most part and our circuit entirely lacked type C's once we switched to a cumulative old gens circuit, so it's a good more laid back current gen tournament to award a few points towards qualifications while rewarding creativity.

UWL has returned as an auction format instead of UWC, following the format outlined here. The issues with UWC and previous discussions on it are in the thread and my post if you have any questions or concerns about the change. Entirely different format than the previous UWL one but we're hoping this change is a good one as an experiment, and will reassess after the tournament if this one goes smoothly.

Beyond that it was just small date changes to adjust for the new calendar. As of writing this the 2025 official smogon tournaments schedule isn't posted, so Ubers open might shift slightly if they decide it best. We will compensate by moving some tournaments around if necessary.

While laddering during the Ubers Ladder Tournament's Cycle 1, LeBarBURR forfeited to a ULT player not more than 24 hours before the deadline, in a position that is significantly more winning than losing (if at all). Though not directly participating in the tournament himself, ladder games during this phase of a ladder tournament are considered a part of it. As such, proper sportsmanship is expected and a free forfeit like this is harmful for the tournament.

LeBarBURR will be circuit banned for 3 months.
