Introduction:
With the recent tier changes, the NU tier has been created! Similar to the 4th Generation, NU is looking set to be a metagame very different from any of the others above it! So, what better way to begin a new metagame than inviting Smogon users to compete in a Tournament?

Tournament Format:


  • This Tournament will take place in the 5th Generation NU metagame. For more information about the banlists or this metagame, see this thread: http://www.smogon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3455994
  • The banlist will adhere to all Smogon banlists. This extends not only to tiers, but also abilities, items, and moves. If you use an illegal Pokémon, you will be disqualified and replaced.
  • Battles must be played on the Smogon server on Pokémon Online. Please save logs in case validation is required.
  • The first round will have a 2 week deadline, and following rounds will have a 1 week deadline. In the event a match is not played by the deadline, unless there has been no activity from one party, the result of the match will be randomized. There will be no extensions except when necessary.
  • If you have a legitimate reason for a delay, please PM me so I am aware of your situation. I will not grant extensions if I haven't heard from you!
  • The format is Single Elimination. If you lose, you’re out.

I have built a new team and I'm now ready to play. As waterwarrior mentioned it, we might need an extension because our timezones aren't convenient at all, but I just wanted you to know that we're both active so we're going to play eventually.

Also, what are we supposed to do with Hail ? It's now banned in UU, RU and NU.
I first had a hail team but i changed it cauz we didn't want any confusion about that. What is up about this for the future round ?

Snow Warning will be legal for this round, but illegal for the next two, as it is banned.

Honestly, Hail was suspect in UU at the time this started, and had fingers pointed in RU as well. It was a realistic possibility that it could be banned.

Sorry for any incoveneice this causes semi-finalists. But as Hail teams would register as OU on-server, it helps prevent awkward situations.

If you were using a Hail team before, start making your new team for the next rounds now.
 
won my battle with some hax, which is sad since it could've been a very cool game
 
two megahorn misses, scald burn, crits, two leaf storm misses, damage rolls, etc etc etc
