Weather dominates the metagame. Entry hazards dominate the metagame. What would life be without both? This is a simple, bo3 tournament with only one twist. One of the three games will be played as a Clear Skies match – all weather is banned! Another one of the three is played without any entry hazards. NO stealth rock, spikes, or toxic spikes to impede Pokemon like Volcarona from making hell. Finally, the third and decisive game will encompass both! No entry hazards, no weather, and all awesome.

This tournament is BW2 OU. Genesect and other new releases are allowed.

However, after seeing what happened in the UU Can Party Too tournament, let me make this perfectly clear.

Pokemon Showdown allows some illegal movesets. Things like Sleep Powder + Spikes Roserade can be used on Showdown. THESE ARE BANNED. If I find out you used an illegal moveset, I, much like the venerable JabbaTheGriffin in his UU Open post, won't even consider the circumstances.

Tournament Rules:
• General tournament rules and regulations can be found here.
• Standard OU - Singles
• Best of THREE
• Single elimination
• The banlists for this tournament are the same as for the ladders of the Smogon University server of Pokemon Online.
• You must submit your logs. Thanks! n_n (part of me just wants to know the sheer amount of people who use Volcarona now...)

Battle Clauses:
• Evasion Clause
• OHKO Clause
• Sleep Clause
• Species Clause
• Timed Battle
• Wifi Clause

Special Rules:
The matches can either go like this:
Player A and Player B both use Clear Skies teams (no weather) - Match 1
Player A and Player B both use Clear Entry teams (no hazards) - Match 2
Player A and Player B both use teams that pertain to both (no hazards AND no weather) - Match 3, the deciding match should it come to a 1-1 tie.

This is a tournament I've looked forward to hosting for a while now. Let's make it a great one! n_n

Felix has told me a little about his difficulty simply with his own schedule. I've heard nothing from Lavos and Cicada...but I haven't checked up on them yet. I'm gonna extend the deadline to 10/24/12 at midnight EDT simply because I don't want to risk semifinals of my tournament to coinflips and activity calls.

I wasn't very active this weekend because of some issues irl, i'll try to get this match done asap

yeah we're trying our best, problem is I've got a lot of shit to take care of during the week, I could only really play last weekend and like Cicada says he was pretty inactive then, plus there's a timezone problem...doubt this will get done, looks like I missed him by about four hours today
 
Felix is pretty busy with some stuff for a while now, we're trying to get this done but that hasn't be easy so far.
 
Once again: things are pretty hard with Felix, we're trying to get this done but you can basically see what happened in our VM conversation.
We're still trying to get this done, we didn't forget.
 
I can speak on behalf of Felix, to be quite honest, since we live together.

I know how busy he's been, and not to mention we've been hit VERY hard over where we live with a massive super-storm that has sporadically knocked out power.

That being said, now that Lavos won his game, I really don't want to let this lag on any further. I'm going to talk to Felix tonight about figuring things out but since I know he will be gone on November 1st, I'm making a hard deadline midnight on Oct 31, EDT. (GMT-4.) If it's not done by then, activity call will have to be made because I don't want this dragging on forever.
 
WHEW! Getting that set done took way longer than it ever should have. My fault entirely. But yeah, we finished.

I lost 2-1. Misplayed at the end of game 3 that might have cost me the game. (Got a bit of hax in game 2.) Great set! GL in finals!^_^
