Introduction: ORAS has been out for many months now, and I'm sure you're all tired of seeing the same Primal Groudons and Mega Salamence. I'm here to save you! To present to you an opportunity, a shelter, to play the beautiful meta that XY Ubers was. That's right, this is gonna be an XY Ubers tour(why did you read all this just read the stupid title)

Special shoutouts to Fuhrerburn for letting me use the pic in banner n_n

This will be a best of three, single elimination tour. I'm aiming for 128 participants cos that's my estimated turnout for this, but will stretch to make room if many more join.

Single Elimination Tournament
Battles are to be played on Pokemon Showdown
All battles must be conducted in a 6v6 ubers format.
Battles are to be a best-of-three.

Yea I posted that I could play on the weekend or onwards, and he didn't reply to my post on the weekend and hasnt been seen sincde monday. Activity I guess.

A +2 Life Orb Dark Pulse fails to KO a standard spread Ho-Oh at 52%. Given this, the educated assumption that he is both Choice Banded and has Sleep Talk, and the knowledge that I die to the next immediate Life Orb-induced recoil, I was able to opt for two plays: to Dark Void or to Nasty Plot. If I Dark Void, I would get chip damage sufficient to subsequently kill the Ho-Oh with Dark Pulse, but I risk him using Sleep Talk to kill me instead. My second option was to Nasty Plot on his Sleep Talk to follow with the Dark Pulse KO. If you were an unskilled player, Hack He Must, you'd know this already, so the "actual fuck" actually impresses me because the play I made was, in fact, suboptimal when perceiving my play from a purely mathematical standpoint; so much so that a reasonably developed software of artificial intelligence would have gone for the Dark Void. Therefore, you must have observed the second esoteric layer of psychology in function. This is because the choice between Dark Void and Nasty Plot differed slightly, yet pivotally, in that the former bears an accuracy 80% of that of the latter. Thus, going for the Dark Void increases my chances of a win slightly due to the third scenario of me missing the Dark Void despite me predicting incorrectly on his Sleep Talk, at which point I can Nasty Plot to follow with the KO.
At the time, having made these computations on the spot, since I knew Level 56 to possess a mind at least equal to mine (in reality, his far surpasses it), I anticipated Level 56 to understand that the mathematically superior play was to Dark Void. Empirically, my attempt to outplay him with reverse psychology succumbed to his reverse-reverse psychology.
Just kidding, minimum roll is like 55% so I would have KOed at that point, should have calculated the rolls but it was 2 in the morning and I didn't mind losing to a fellow Genesect so...WHOOPSIES!
