SPECIFIC RULES (ripped off from Arcticblast)
  • This is a standard ORAS Ubers tournament
  • This tournament will be Double Elimination
  • All rounds will be Best of Three. You may switch teams in between battles of the same set.
  • Matches are to be played on Pokemon Showdown!
  • To encourage the development of the metagame, and so that everyone is on an even playing field, all matches must have replays recorded. If neither player posts or at least saves replays of the match, both players will suffer an automatic game loss. (If you were in losers' when you played, you are both out. If you were in winners', the winner is in losers' and the loser is out.) There may be some exceptions to this rule.
  • Every round, I will choose several games as the Highlight Matches. We don't have streaming yet, but this is something I am going to look into for future rounds when things get competitive.
Standard Rules and Clauses
  • Species Clause: A player cannot have two Pokemon with the same PokeDex number on his team.
  • Evasion Clause: The moves Double Team and Minimize are banned. (No other evasion boosting things are banned).
  • OHKO Clause: The moves Horn Drill, Guillotine, Sheer Cold, and Fissure are banned.
  • Endless Battle Clause: Anything capable of intentionally creating an endless battle is banned.

  • Sleep Clause

Scheduling Rules:

USE VM WALLS! If you really don't want to schedule via a VM conversation, then post in this thread to let me know that you are in contact with your opponent some other way. If you use VM walls, you do not need to post in this thread to let me know. Unless you have clearly scheduled for a date shortly after the deadline (and cannot make a date before the deadline) you will be given an activity call instead of an extension. I'm not making the calls, so I can't promise what will or won't make you safe, but I know that activities which will up your chances are posting specific times on your opponent's wall, responding to their VMs promptly, and posting any IRC logs of you scheduling in this thread.

Deadline is Friday, March 11th at 11:59 EST. NO EXTENSIONS FOR THIS ROUND. AT ALL. (unless there are remarkable extenuating circumstances in which case I might grant a 1 day extension).

edit: whitelion's evidence is good enough for me. he gets the activity win, especially with penguin's rather brutal availability

"i was on all week, friday night (when he said he would be online) and saturday evening/night. he never showed up during the week and wasnt on when he said he would be on during friday". I also pmd Sweep whether i should call activity and he said you can.Tagging Dilwar to confirm that i was on at Friday and Saturady Night and Tagging soviet to confirm i was on Saturday morning. So his post that i was not online on saturday the whole day is absolutely false.
 
I played Gunner on Thursday (deadline) for R8 at 7 PM my time which is 12 AM for White Lion (he's GMT +5). I can confirm he was online at this time as he watched our battles and was talking to me before the match, so yes he was on Friday night. I did catch him earlier today too, although he was on an alt. Not sure if he went on main, Soviet probably can confirm further.
 
white lion i did .seen white lion18 on saturday night and it said u hadn't been seen in 1 day and 6 hours (so midday friday, for me). it was then very late (1 am) so i had to go to bed. i logged on this morning and did .seen again and u last logged on when it was 7 am for me, which is obviously way too early. i was online all saturday and i've been online since i woke up today. and i thought we confirmed that i couldn't play during the week at any time suitable for you... also peli said u were online on smogon whilst i was even online on PS, so he PMd you. i really wanna play this match and even now would be an ok time for both of us i assume
 
Sweep, I've been on all my waking hours since u gave the extension and the only time he could have been on was from 2 am till 7 am so I couldn't have battled him. Since he couldn't be online during the weekdays when I could be, maybe I don't deserve the loss since I was waiting for him all weekend.
 
how is a coin flip fair when i've waiting all the time i could for him and he hasn't even bothered. it's not like when i've been on it's been the middle of the night for him either, i was on all day all weekend, however whenever he's been on it's been the middle of the night for me.

in fact i'd still rather get the match done early this week, since haruno is always online so the loser would easily be able to play him quickly.

also white lion you must have logged into an alt then because i did the .seen command and it said u hadn't logged in since friday midday (your time) and i have no idea what alt you were using so you should have messaged me...

I still dont get why are you arguing over this when sweep gave me the win but still i would like to mention few points which will make things clear.
1.The deadline given by sweep to finish the matches was Thursday and you vm me on Friday morning that i cant play on any of the days other than weekends coz "you are at School the whole week"(That's strange isnt it?).
2.On which grounds you decided that sweep will give you an extension for 2 days so that we can play.
3.I was on thursday till 12.30am my time but you didnt show up.On saturday i agree i was on alt testing with dilwar I waited till 10pm my time but you never came so i just left since i had to leave sunday morning early for some irl stuffs
4.You said i can play after 13.00 at random times on weekends what does random times means? You were supposed to give a specific time so that i can convert the time and check if i can play at that time.
5.You expect that i should play according to your comfortable time and date even though you have like"Some random times to play on weekends".
6.So from next time make sure you give people a specific time and also keep a track of the deadlines. Sorry if i sounded rude

yeah you're right, there's no point complaining now but i was just saying that we had to take advantage of the extension and play on the weekend as you couldn't log on at the same time as me on the week days, how ever you didn't turn up once in the extension after friday. it's cool though...
