A new Pokemon generation. We are poised on the edge of a brave new world. New "little" Pokemon as Rowlet, Litten and Popplio but also Wimpod, the curious Sandygast, Pikipek, all Alola little forms and so on. And new abilities, new moves and battle mechanics. And what will happen in the meantime to Mienfoo, Scraggy, Chinchou, Fletching and its Gale Wings, or a "new" Abra with Psych Up? All these points are currently the subject of in-depth examination and analysis. And there is no better way to play a tour around that.

Tournament Rules:
  • General tournament rules and regulations can be found here.
  • Best of three, single elimination tournament.
  • Ban list. Well, at the moment SuMo LC is at the moment carrying over the ORAS ban list in its entirety + Eevium Z. Therefore:
Pokemon only need to follow two rules in order to be eligible for Little Cup.
  1. All Pokemon need to be level 5.
  2. The Pokemon must be able to evolve, but be in the lowest stage of evolution. For example Pichu is legal, but Pikachu is not.
In addition to that, the following Pokemon, moves, abilities, and items are banned in Little Cup:
  • Pokemon: Scyther, Sneasel, Tangela, Yanma, Swirlix, Gligar, Murkrow, Meditite, Misdreavus, Drifloon, Porygon, all single-staged or evolved Pokemon, and any unevolved multi-stage Pokemon that is unavailable at Level 5.
  • Moves: Dragon Rage, Sonic Boom, Swagger
  • Abilities: Moody
  • Items: Eevium Z
Battle Clauses:
  • Sleep Clause. A player cannot put two or more different opposing Pokémon to sleep using attacks that induce sleep to opposing Pokémon.
  • Evasion Clause. A player cannot increase their pokémon's evasion stat with a move that specifically increases evasion. Items or indirect boosts do not break this clause.
  • OHKO Clause. Players cannot use moves that have a chance of instantly KO opposing Pokémon. For example, Horn Drill is an illegal move to have on a Pokémon's (like Ponyta or Rhydon) move set.
  • Species Clause. You cannot use the same Pokemon twice on the same team. For example, you cannot use two Abras.
  • Wifi Battle Clause. Team preview must be enabled.
Note:
  • Replays are always welcome, remember that we're experiencing with a new metagame! Also, anything you need, just let me know and write (me) on Smogon.
  • On Showdown SuMo LC is currently identified as [Gen 7] Pokebank LC
IMPORTANT:
  • Cutiefly is unbanned for second round extentions (see this message)

I already posted activity in the last thread and my opponent hasn't given a response in like a week and a half even though he's been online, so I guess I'm calling activity

Now I know this is only round 3 of Quasar's tour, but Holidays are coming up, and I'm feeling very cheery-eyed !!
Round III

Agammemnon vs OP -
I am truly uncertain of Agammemnon's capability as a battler, but I know for sure that OP has solidified himself as a well rounded LC player only second to me.
(Confide vs majaspic22) vs Star -
These are some of the top 3 diverse / and ultimately promising competitors within this LC tour; Confide proving himself through recognition in last year's LC open as well as numerous placings among a wide array of competitive tournaments; Majaspic22 is a solid LC player as well, representing the country of France, but I feel as if his battling along with building just isn't up to par with what Confide has in store. If it comes down to Confide vs Star I feel as if it is a gamble due to Star's experience in LC and his plethora of contributions to the development of the tier. Could go either way really.
Finchinator vs Kushalos -
Both are v good & well known players, but my mans Kushalos just needs one team to really drill through this tournament. He also won my heart in last season of LCPL.
naruto(sage) vs frania -
I actually know this guy Naruto(sage) as well as witnessed this Frania who is undoubtedly very skilled, but the amount of effort and wits that Naruto(sage) has put into his Pokemon career is enough to shift my decision.
(TopLel TopKek vs parivard) vs Rowan -
Really the only LC experience that counts towards Parivard in my opinion is the well esteemed BLT(Tournament room spl basically) where he went negative in LC. Although, I have seen him in-game playing and deem him quite promising. I just don't think it'll be enough to hold himself up through Rowan's sheer experience and knowledge of the tier.
TSR vs Coconut -
Despite personally not being impressed by Coconut's battling capabilities, I feel as if she is knowledgeable and cute enough to fend off this TSR character.
Zebraiken vs rssp1 -
Swear I hate rssp1 for pulling a PD and haxing me out of this tournament, but due to being an LC resident as well as the room owner of Mafia(gosh how cool is that), Rssp1 should be able to pull this one out in the end. Zebraiken most likely won't go down without a fight doe.
(Camilas vs Shrug) vs Tricking -
Why tf is camilas not out r1. Shrug rid this tournament of this atrocity. If it comes down to Tricking vs Shrug, I honestly think the battle is evenly matched. Tricking has validated himself as a formidable foe and Shrug is just consistent with anything LC-wise.
Laroxyl vs mad0ka -
I don't quite think mad0ka will have too much trouble with this matchup, although Laroxyl is a decent, strategic thinker as well as the bearer of a high rate of HAX(rip dominatio). Mad0ka is just a winner in any aspect.
ggggd vs Finding True Love -
GG . ggggd is one of the few lc players(not to mention Brazilians) that I actually fear when playing. He is well rounded and underrated in so many aspects. ggggd is consistently a knowledgeable builder as well as one of the top ten LC players in my opinion.
Kenzo vs (We Three Kings vs Sken) -
Sorry the two on the left are unknown in my book, but Sken is Bae.
(zugubu royale vs snagaa) vs Heysup -
I have come across Snagaa before in what I believe was PU open, and he was a player of high caliber. Although, I feel as if Heysup's status as one of the most notoriously best LC players deserves him the dub for the third round. Anything is possible though ;) speaking from experience w/ heysup~

The Quasar : Drifloon is currently being suspected and is currently unbanned. Is it allowed for this round of the tournament? (want to know if I need to build/prepare with/for this mon)

OP and I are trying to figure this out after missing each other. But to be frank this is more my fault than his so we're doing everything we can to get this done.

Requesting an extension please! Our timezones are 9 hours apart so scheduling has been tough. The first time we scheduled for was somewhat vague and we ended up missing each other. I was around for the majority of the time but I wasn't too actively searching for Agammemnon. We scheduled again for 30 minutes before this post, but I never saw him. Hopefully we'll be able to work something out if we can get an extension.
