These predictions won't be entirely the same as my normal ones, since this is a very strange unofficial tour in which my garbdicks 100k BR lineup is somehow in the playoffs LOL So, the slightly worse people definitely have a higher chance of pulling an upset. Now, let's get to it.
West Nile Weaviles (6) vs (8) Choleraichus
Bo3: Updated Kanto vs John W | We all know I'm on the kanto bandwagon by now. john w's game vs the doctor today didn't inspire much confidence. i can't exactly put my foot on it, but it definitely appeared as though he played a bit sub-optimally. kanto's more proven and is better in these tiers.
Bo5: dice vs reyscarface | rey's good, but I bold dice every week. He's pretty easily the best BWer left. rey might have the edge in ADV still, and maybe the variance meme tier I guess. Either way, dice is a better player right now.
SS OU: Sage vs teal6 | teal's a better player and is way more proven on the big stage to boot
SS LC: MetaRiolu7 vs jake | no idea who this dude is honestly LOL he's probably a meme. zeb's solid, even though he choked on balls against goao today before being bailed out by goao's throw. He'll definitely need to play better if he wants to win...although, against a filler character, maybe not.
SM OU: Eo vs Tace
SM Ubers: Garay oak vs byronthewellwell | byron's probably a meme, and garay has had some nice showings in the lower tiers. he even managed to have a decent spl outside of lower tiers as well.
SM UU: Corazan vs Adaam | Corazan had a good Snake, but Adaam won Slam and is slightly more proven just off that I suppose. small edge
SM RU: EviGaro vs Odd Della Robbia | everyone's on ODR's nuts 24/7, but until he proves something on the big stage, I'm not going anywhere near the ODR kool-aid. EviGaro has proven herself as a viable SPL RU player, and that's more than I can say about ODR.
SM NU: ILoveMilk vs 0NI | two filler chars. milk has won his past 2 games so I guess there's that...not enough for an edge over the wannabe obii tho.
ORAS OU: Pohjis vs Santu | LOL ribbon syndrome is back jesus. I'm definitely not drinking the PohJis kool-aid, especially in a non-lower tier. Santu's been a beast this tour, and more importantly, he had a phenomenal SPL as well. Things are looking up for him, and I like his odds of taking this one.
BW OU: Twixtry vs Sabella | Twixtry fell off hard in SPL after a blazing start. The man was so bad that he got benched for the fake jamvad LOL jesus. he's also been terrible this tour Sabella, contrary to popular belief, is actually positive on the sheet. So just off that, he can have a decent edge.
BW RU: Alpha Rabbit vs MetalGro$$ | I don't really know if metal can cut it outside of rby LOL He's apparently 1-6? in this tour...rabbit's been solid i guess and is definitely more familiar with the metagame. I don't know if he's viable, but metalgross has enough going against him to be on the wrong side of the bold in this one
DPP OU: Mannat vs SOMALIA | LOL Somalia is a better player, but Mannat will tryhard scout him. This is the variance madhouse people. no idea on this one
DPP UU: Haru vs Pak | no idea if haru is viable or not, and pak's relatively solid. big edge
ADV OU: pasy_g vs Nails | nails has been decent in this tour, but pasy went 5-3 in SPL. He was a massive overpay, but he did prove he could hang with some decent players on the big stage in this tier. Decent edge.
ADV NU: Triangles vs TSR | We all know that I haven't ever been the biggest Triangles fan, but he's sure as hell way more viable than whoever TSR is.
Herd Immunity Herdiers (5) vs (7) Siphylis Sigilyphs
Bo3: blarghlfarghl vs Lusa | both had solid spls, but blargh's a more proven commodity. I think he's better.
Bo5: M Dragon vs Gilbert arenas | This one's a tossup, to me. M Dragon's obviously historically far better, but it's fair to wonder how good he is at this point in time. I still have a lot of respect for his abilities, though. marcop himself is no slouch, however, and could definitely take this. M Dragon is definitely favored in GSC, but the rest could really go either way, and I would probably favor marcop in BW right now. So...with 2 variance tiers in this bo5 as well, it's hard to not call this a tossup.
SS OU: Bloody alfa vs mncmt | the fake jamvad has at least played some games on the big stage I guess LOL He's usually not too impressive, but he is somehow smashing everyone this tour.
SS LC: Luthier vs GOAO | Luthier's obviously way more established, but GOAO has Pablo on his side. If he doesn't play like a dumbass clown like he did today, I think he has a good shot of taking this
SM OU: Lopunny Kicks vs Eternal Spirit | these two are very similar. Both are spreadsheet warriors who have been struggling lately. However, Gama's peak was definitely higher than that of Lop Kicks. Just off that, I'll give him the edge here
SM Ubers: Enzo Gorlami vs Thiago Nunes | Gunner is more proven, but it's not like he's played on the big stage recently LOL Thiago has been solid enough this tour from what I've seen, and his record is marred by some poor luck. I'm gonna call this a tossup for now.
SM UU: robjr vs Spl4sh | I'm gonna take the upset in this one. rob's obviously far more proven on the sheet...I honestly had no idea who the hell Spl4sh even was before this tour like LOOL That being said, rob's def struggled a bit in 2020, and he hasn't been in the greatest form in general. These two are probably similarly skilled right now, but I think Spl4sh can take this one.
SM RU: Feliburn vs Yay | Feliburn's been an absolute disaster on the big stage. He's proven he's a threat in RUPL, though, and has had some pretty convincing wins. Yay has really struggled this tour and has been pretty unimpressive in RU. Small edge.
SM NU: Kushalos vs Ren-chon | ren-chon's been surprisingly good, but I've always been a big Kushalos fan. Hard to bold against him in this spot. Solid edge
ORAS OU: Kebab mlml vs get backer | kebab may or may not be viable, while Luigi is an STour winner who's definitely competent enough to wash him in this tier.
BW OU: Mix vs Caetano93 | mix isn't on the sheet, while caetano had a solid debut tour this SPL. I think he's definitely a better player
BW RU: Micaiah vs Sand Castle | Micaiah had the worst ADV sequence of all time against marcop last time out LOL that certainly doesn't inspire much confidence...meanwhile, sand castle has definitely been our mvp. He's defied all my expectations, and smashed both august and SG in BW RU. I think he'll wash this dude.
DPP OU: shawyu 1313 vs -Tsunami- | LOOOL it's me. I'm definitely crust, but I think I'm decent enough still to win in the variance madhouse. shawyu had a solid SPL, but he was apparently carried a lot by osgoode's teams and was literally benched FOR OBII in the playoffs...that's a giant ass red flag to me. tossup it is in the thinking gen
DPP UU: Heysup vs Raichy | raichy's struggled a bit lately, and Heysup's been solid this tour. That being said, Heysup did have to luck Raichy to take him down 2 days ago, and I think Raichy's played a bit better than his record suggests. Historically, obviously heysup's a way better player, but it's hard to judge if he's crust or not in a tour like this. tossup it is
ADV OU: The Kyle vs Century Express | The Kyle choked on balls today like LOOL jesus he was bad. CE is a relatively proven commodity. Solid edge
ADV NU: Watchog vs Askov | Askov was a beast early in the tour, but he's fallen off as of late. Watchog's surprisingly been really good, so I guess he can have the edge here
