Welcome to the 2020 National Dex Circuit Playoffs; The top 16 players have shown themselves after competing in this year's tournament circuit. The winner of the playoffs will be rewarded with a banner under their username on the forums saying "National Dex Circuit Champion".

This is a tiebreaker to determine the seeds.

Tournament rules:
  • This tour is in the National Dex format. Post-DLC2 additions are allowed.
  • General tournament rules and regulations can be found here.
  • The banlist for this tournament is the same as the National Dex ladder on Smogon's simulator, Pokemon Showdown!, and can be found here.
  • Every pairing will be a best-of-three.
  • Battles must take place on Pokemon Showdown!.
  • SS win conditions are in place; there are no ties.
  • Replays are mandatory.
Tiebreaker for 7th seed:
  • Standard three-way round robin.
  • The player with two wins takes the 7th seed, the player with one win takes the 8th seed, and the last player takes the 9th seed.
    • This means that all three matches must be played, even if one player wins both matches first.
  • In the event that all three players tie, their individual records in this series will be considered.
  • If all three players end up with the same record, their seed placements will be judged based off of their best runs in the circuit, followed by second- and then third-best.
Sevelon vs. Saladae
Sevelon vs. TFCP
TFCP vs. Saladae

Tiebreaker for 11th seed:
  • Standard one-on-one single elimination.
  • I shouldn't have to explain how this works.
  • The winner gets the 11th seed, and the loser gets the 12th seed.
64 Squares vs. Aurodian

Tiebreaker for 13th seed:
  • Standard three-way round robin.
  • The player with two wins takes the 13th seed, the player with one win takes the 14th seed, and the last player takes the 15th seed.
    • This means that all three matches must be played, even if one player wins both matches first.
  • In the event that all three players tie, their individual records in this series will be considered.
  • If all three players end up with the same record, their seed placements will be judged based off of their best runs in the circuit, followed by second- and then third-best.
Jho vs. Micaiah
Jho vs. Ainzcrad
Ainzcrad vs. Micaiah

Tiebreaker for 16th seed:
  • Standard one-on-one single elimination.
  • I shouldn't have to explain how this works.
  • The winner gets the 16th seed, and the loser will not be in playoffs.
Guard vs. Kaitlyn

The deadline for all of these pairings is 19th December GMT -5 at 11:59 PM. Coinflips will be done if these aren't done by then.

ALL OF THESE GAMES ARE BEST OF 3

Leave a message on my Smogon wall or in this thread if you have any questions.

You have your Zapdos in against Melmetal, all 3 of your Pokemon have Heavy-Duty Boots. What do you use in this situation?

A) Heat Wave
B) Roost
C) Discharge
D) Defog
