Welcome to the fourth iteration of TLT (Tours' Leaderboard Tournament)! Throughout this tournament, players will battle in best-of-five format each round, with Smogon's standard tiers being the metagames played. This tournament is now Single elimination.

The tiers that will be played are:

SS Ubers
SS OU
SS UU
SS RU
SS NU
SS PU
SS LC

In order to fairly determine the five of these seven tiers played in each individual matchup, players will take turns locking and eliminating tiers among themselves. They'll both lock one tier, followed by eliminating one tiers, thus leaving five to be played. The lower seeded player will lock the first tier, followed by the higher seed player. Then the lower seeded player will eliminate the first tier, followed by the higher seed player. The higher seed player picks what tier is played first of the five tiers. After that, the loser of game one picks which of the remaining tiers is played for game two and so on until there's a series winner or a game five. Naturally, game five will be played in the last remaining tier.

Basic tournament rules - you absolutely should read this, especially if you're new to forum tournaments
Sportsmanship: Don't be an ass. Not to your opponents, not on PS, not on Smogon, not to me. A bit of friendly banter is ok, but please know where to draw the line. Think before you type, please.

Scheduling and Activity Wins: Contact your opponent as quickly as possible on their Smogon wall, and look out for them on PS. You will have one week from the posting of the week's matches to get it done. Extensions will be for two days after the scheduled deadline, and no further. If your opponent is not responding to your post on their wall, cannot be found on PS, or miss multiple scheduled times, make a detailed activity post in the thread letting me know why you deserve the win. No activity post means no activity call. As long as you have visible attempts at scheduling (such as wall posts), you will be fine.

Disconnections and Timer: A timer loss is a loss. No if's, and's, or but's about it. If your opponent is nice enough to replay that's fine, but they are by no means obligated to.

Ghosting and Identity: Don't take or give battle advice or make moves based solely on the suggestions of others, and don't pretend to be someone else in order to play as them. You will be caught, and you will be disqualified from this tournament as well as future PS! tournaments (BLT, PSPL, etc.).

Substitutions: Substitutions will be made only for rounds one & two, with round two subs taking the record of the person they are subbing in for.

1. kythr vs 32. Roxiee: roxiee is a good player but no match for queenthr (3-0)

16. saba1111 vs 17. blinkboy: saba had tougher oppositions so I assume this'll be close (3-2)

8. FatFighter2 vs 25. Cheese5555: FatFighter2 had a good record in swiss but I've seen more from cheese in general (1-3)

9. TheFranklin vs 24. PokeArt2004♥: arce is one of the people who I expect to go high, sorry pokeart (3-0)

4. Luthier vs 29. Ronman5: Luthier is one of the people who is expected to win this tour (3-0)

13. 100%GXE vs 20. Mr. DoTooMuch: Pretty much same as above (3-0)

5. Decem vs 28. Hys: The nerf of removing mono didn't stop decem (3-1)

12. Let's Rumble Shall We vs 21. RaJ.Shoot: Now this looks tough as HR1 and Raj are both good players, Raj will take lc for sure but I think HR1 has the edge for the other tiers (3-2)

2. TeamCharm69 vs 31. lkapkd1: lol it'll be funny if lkap wins this but probably won't and tc69 will use their lucky charm even if it's not needed (3-0)

15. Miraage vs 18. Gray: so looks like Gambit is Miraage now, the new name looks weird with the extra a (2-3)

7. Sensei Axew vs 26. 7u9i2: Haven't seen any memorable plays from 7u9i2 and Axew is goated (3-0)

10. Sificon vs 23. SiceXV: Looks close since Sice is actually caring about this tour, leaning sliiiiightly for Sice (2-3)

3. APW001 vs 30. Angels & Airwaves: apw had a good run compared to A&A and the latter struggled a lot in swiss (3-0)

14. EternalSnowman vs 19. MJ: ik I'm predicting against esm again even though he beat poat last week but idk about this one (1-3)

6. Stareal vs 27. Alternatif: Don't know much about alternatif (3-0)

11. iNoLife vs 22. RichardPepper: RichardPepper is the goat. (1-3)

Cool way to stay involved is w predicts so I'm doing this for the first time :)

1. kythr vs 32. Roxiee roxiee did really well with some tougher matchups but I think kyth is a favorite to win the whole thing, gonna bold him here

16. saba1111 vs 17. blinkboy this is a really cool match up, I think saba slightly has the edge but this will definitely be a fun one to watch regardless

8. FatFighter2 vs 25. Cheese5555 as much as fat is my boy, and he did manage to beat cheese last week, I still think it goes to cheddar. under more serious circumstances cheese is definitely more experienced and can play a better game, but this could easily go to fat as well.

9. TheFranklin vs 24. PokeArt2004♥ arce definitely seems to be a favorite as well despite having a rougher start than most would think. still giving it to him but art is no slouch either.

4. Luthier vs 29. Ronman5 I mean it's luth dude what else

13. 100%GXE vs 20. Mr. DoTooMuch literally just the same ^

5. Decem vs 28. Hys this matchup also seems really interesting, Hys seemed like a pretty solid player in replays and i know he has experience, but I do wanna give the edge to Decem because they've been very consistent.

12. Let's Rumble Shall We vs 21. RaJ.Shoot dude raj is goated like idek how he barely made it in, gonna give the edge to him here even though lrsw doesn't seem like a slouch. probably another really fun match to see.

2. TeamCharm69 vs 31. lkapkd1 dude if charm doesn't win this i'm gonna eat my left shoe like what's lkap gonna do jus shell smash? i'm pretty unaware of how charm could handle that but i know he's just a luckier dude so...he'll figure something out. adoptive dad vs adopted kid, how sad

15. Miraage vs 18. Gray gambit is pretty cool but i'm gonna give this one to gray the non excuse man himself. curious to watch this one though

7. Sensei Axew vs 26. 7u9i2 I'm pretty sure an axew that has enough experience to be a sensei beats like a hoopa or whatever

10. Sificon vs 23. SiceXV sificon seems to have better overall game knowledge in gen 8 than sice but I definitely see sice putting up a good fight too, even if im bolding sifi.

3. APW001 vs 30. Angels & Airwaves APW has definitely just played better overall from what i've seen so i gotta give it to him

14. EternalSnowman vs 19. MJ this is definitely a highlight match and while esm is higher seeded or whatever, I feel like it's only right to predict against him. definitely gonna be a fun match though, esm surprised me by beating poat in some solid games.

6. Stareal vs 27. Alternatif I've seen star play more than alter and star just seems to be the more well rounded and consistent player.

11. iNoLife vs 22. RichardPepper I'm pretty sure someone who has no life can handle a pepper but who knows, richard might pull out some wild stuff

TOP 32 PREDICTS with a couple of 55:45s that are basically coinflips

1. (65) kythr vs 32. Roxiee (35)

I expect kythr to at least be a semi-finalist, and I don't think Roxie will take it here. kythr, in and outside of TLT, has proven to be just a little too knowledgeable and well versed on practically every tier here. There isn't really a format where I see Roxie holding an advantage in all honesty, but Roxie is a solid player so I can expect an upset here.

16. (55) saba1111 vs 17. blinkboy (45)

Both relatively similar in player-ability, well represented in their seeding and almost down to their game win%. I think saba can crumble when playing a tier he's not familiar with or when using a team he's not good with, so if blinkboy can force those scenarios the tables could turn pretty easily.

8. (45) FatFighter2 vs 25. Cheese5555 (55)

I personally have just seen Cheese more and am very confident in his playing ability. FatFighter is the higher seed by a large margin, but when you look at the games played (6-3 from FatFighter, 7-7 from Cheese), I think you can very clearly see who had the harder time fighting for their play-off spot. FatFighter's 4-1 (really a 3-1) is impressive, and FatFighter won vs Cheese last time, but I think Cheese is definitely more consistent and should probably take the win here.

9. (75) TheFranklin vs 24. PokeArt2004 (25)

arce9 is another player, in similar respect to kythr, that I expect to be a semi-finalist in the tour. I might've referenced his Slam performance previously, but that alone should be able to show you arce's capabilities in a wide variety of tiers. I think he's able to adapt quick to tier adjustments, especially in lower tiers, and is simply the better player here. Unless his team choices are just very poor, I see it very hard for him to lose here and potentially lose further in the tour.

4. (80) Luthier vs 29. Ronman5 (20)

Luth is once again, a player I see being in the Top 4. I don't believe Ron will take it over Luth—no disrespect to Ron for the 80:20 here. In a set where he's playing seriously, which we'll probably see in the playoffs, Luthier is monstrously good. He can play almost every tier in this tour to top-of-the-line quality (relative to this tour).

13. (95) 100%GXE vs 20. Mr. DoTooMuch (5)

I'm sorry for a 95:5, but I truly just don't see GXE losing this in any aspect... this isn't to hype GXE up or anything, but I just don't see Mr. DoTooMuch on the same level. GXE is also the final player I'd very surprised to not see in the Top 4 this year, so I'll likely be bolding him on principle.

5. (60) Decem vs 28. Hys (40)

Decem performed very solidly this TLT, bringing in a 5th seed placement, and I think Decem's solid performance will continue here. Decem certainly has the potential to upset some of the highlight names I named before (ie GXE, arce, luth, kythr), and I could honestly see myself making this a 70:30 or higher if Decem is performing exceptionally well.

12. (55) Let's Rumble Shall We vs 21. RaJ.Shoot (45)

Tough set to predict—I honestly feel like this is virtually a coin-flip. HR1 (Let's Rumble Shall We) has a more impressive seed here, so I'll just bold him. I could really see this going either way, but I'm personally rooting for Raj, so gl!

2. (65) TeamCharm69 vs 31. lkapkd1 (35)

TeamCharm is a player I expected to go 3-2 or lower, so being the #2 seed really came off as a surprise and showed that Charm came to play. I haven't been impressed with lkap this tour, given that he's played and used teams that I expect him to bring. I've said this before, but I feel like any basic level of prep is enough to win vs lkap's style of team, so if TeamCharm can adapt their teams to his style, they'll be in business. If there's no adaptation from either side, then expect to see a cheesy team vs cheesy team and call it a 50:50 coin flip.

15. (55) Miraage vs 18. Gray (45)

Similar to HR1 vs Raj, I find these two to be relatively similar in skill level and would call this a coin flip. Prediction goes to Gambit for higher seed—this game will be fun to watch.

7. (70) Sensei Axew vs 26. 7u9i2 (30)

If Sensei Axew doesn't run into some of the aforementioned "top 4" players, I can see him pulling a similar run to Decem in this point of the tour. Coming in with a 7th seed, only loss being to kythr, is extremely impressive and should show you what's to come in SAxew's playoff run.

10. (40) Sificon vs 23. SiceXV (60)

Sifi is the higher seed by a decent gap, but I've been more impressed with Sice's play for sure. Give him a good team and he can play.

3. (60) APW001 vs 30. Angels & Airwaves (40)

APW came in with a very impressive 3rd seed, comparable to Angels & Airwaves' 30th seed. I'm personally not a fan of APW team choices a lot of the time, but you simply can't ignore his level of play in this tour.

14. (55) EternalSnowman vs 19. MJ (45)

One of my highlight matches just because it's ESM vs MJ. Call this a coin flip with bold going to ESM purely because of seeding; I'd love to catch this live and see how it goes because I think the two are essentially evenly matched.

6. (65) Stareal vs 27. Alternatif (35)

Star is certainly more proven than Alternatif. The loss to TeamCharm's joke teams last round definitely made me push this predict back slightly...

11. (55) iNoLife vs 22. RichardPepper (45)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe these two played before and iNoLife was the winner in Round 1. I think Richard's sets were pretty silly in that set, but I can never count Richard(GOD)Pepper out.

Predicts! Cause all the matches matter again!

1. kythr vs 32. Roxiee - Kythr is def the better player here, but given the tiers they're playing, I can see it being a 3-2 win for Kythr.

16. saba1111 vs 17. blinkboy - I think saba has had the better showing against stronger opponents than blinkboy, and he seems to be the more versatile player, and versatility is extremely important with more tiers.

8. FatFighter2 vs 25. Cheese5555 - This match seems familiar, I just can't put my finger on it. It's like they played last week or something, hmm. Fat definitely has had some solid performances so far, but his win vs cheese last week wasn't great (that lc game...), so because of this, I'm still leaning cheese by 5.555%, though it could go to OverweightWarrior2 too.

9. TheFranklin vs 24. PokeArt2004♥ - I don't normally predict my own matches, but I don't see myself winning this at all. Arce9 is a very versatile player, being good in a lot of tiers, whereas I haven't played that much of gen 8 overall, and I don't have a main tier. I lost to him last tlt and foresee the same result this time. I would need to hax this man to death if I want to win. (And hax him to death I shall, mwahaha)

4. Luthier vs 29. Ronman5 - Luthier is labeled "best in the tour" or "favorite to win" for reasons you know, he's def the better player vs Ron. Going from apw to this must suck.

13. 100%GXE vs 20. Mr. DoTooMuch - Mr. DoTooMuch definitely surprised a lot of us by making it this far despite being pretty new, congrats man. But gxe is gxe, who is very proven, and versatile, so I can't see him losing here or for a while unless he faces Luthier.

5. Decem vs 28. Hys - Decem seems to be getting better the further into TLT he gets, and as he is now, I don't see him losing to hys, who has been decent but not good enough.

12. Let's Rumble Shall We vs 21. RaJ.Shoot - Hellray has been kicking butt. Overall he has had a pretty dominant tlt, better than what Raj has had. Based on both of their previous performances, I think hellray wins here.

2. TeamCharm69 vs 31. lkapkd1 - [13:03:33] +kythr: tc is just a better lkap ngl

15. Miraage vs 18. Gray - Of the 2, gray has had the better showing and is more dominant in his main tiers than gambit. Though, gambit has done well overall too, so this could be close.

7. Sensei Axew vs 26. 7u9i2 - Sensei has been extremely dominant overall this tlt, and while 7u9i2 has had some good showings, Sensei has been on a roll and probably won't stop unless he faces Luthier.

10. Sificon vs 23. SiceXV - Sice really surprised me this tlt, as I hadn't seen anything great from sice until now. Based on what both have shown, I'm favoring Sice slightly but this is honestly a tossup imo.

3. APW001 vs 30. Angels & Airwaves - Apw also impressed me with having one of the better overall showings (according to the trainer card) and while A&A has been doing alright, APWin001 should have the edge.

14. EternalSnowman vs 19. MJ - Biggest highlight this week aside from maybe tc69 vs lkap. In terms of skill, these 2 should be about equal, maybe mj being a bit better? But in terms of versatility, mj is is much more versatile, so he should be favored. The EverlastingIceMan will melt this week.

6. Stareal vs 27. Alternatif - Alternatif has plenty of experience to back up him being here, but I don't see star losing with how much he's been shining like a star this tlt.

11. iNoLife vs 22. RichardPepper - A rematch from round 1 I'm sure richard isn't happy about. iNoLife isn't someone I knew much about going in, but they've definitely shown they can be a top contender, whereas richard hasn't had a great showing.

Playing arce9 in LC/RU/UU/NU/PU Saturday, 5pm Est (GMT -5). LC/RU/UU/NU have been played and the current score is 2-2. Playing game 5 (PU) on Monday 2:30pm Est (GMT -5).

(Apologies to anyone I may have possibly offended, please do not take these very seriously.)

I’m absolutely not happy to play again VS inolife, I never heard him and he’s probably the one who impressed me more

SiceXV idk how to tag people, I hope you will see the message anyway, so as to put in your usual laughing reaction to my posts
