Tournament Rules:
  • General tournament rules and regulations can be found here.
  • The banlist for this tournament is the same as the SS 1v1 ladder on the Smogon University server of Pokemon Showdown, and can be found here.
  • Best of five, double elimination.
  • If metagame changes occur during the middle of a round, they will take effect in the subsequent round.
  • Battles must take place on Pokemon Showdown!.
  • Replays are required.
  • Do not make baseless activity posts; get in contact with your opponent and report missed times / scheduling issues only.

Nalei vs ChoccyMilk O-o (90-10)
nalei is a more creative player, has an endless stream of techs in a stale meta, and is experienced. usually noobs get blown back in lt r1 (except carlos last 1, but he lucked deg) and i dont think this will be any different. nalei may lose to a noob because ooga booga unpredictable but imo thats not really the case here.
smely socks vs PA - Black vs black but act like white anime girls 100 anyways who cares
zio vs 1v1 Squirtell 1v1 (53-47) - Squirtell will use basic shit like he did before in early sm before he went ryy in wc and got corrupted with muk alola, squirtell isn't unbreakable+he's a bum and he deosnt cteam THEREFore Nah dude squirtell cteams mango he will win
DEG vs Satanic Beast (55-45) - deg will bring swanky teams and i predict this will end in 4 games i think deg is quite underrated in ss even tho he is too busy solving corona virus
Trashuny vs SuperMemeBroz (40-60) He won twice in UMPL
Trashuny isnt that great and smb is known for their good clicking (and by good clicking we mean genesect and zeraora every game(good strategy)) and theyre actualyl gonna build more than 2 teams so smb better

pqs vs Potatochan - i hope these both lose, carry of east vs carry of porygons 100 both lose to winner of carlos xstatic anyw who even cares about this mu bruh literally irrelevant dawg
XSTATIC COLD vs tears(75-35) - if carlos loses majors to gym socks he will go full emo mode and leave every discord but if he wins he still has to prep for majors finals and lt so its kind of lose lose but xstatic had a horrible pl in ss and blamed it on snorlax so who really knows. depends on prep and mentality of both players

Nalei vs ChoccyMilk O-o (90|10) choccy milk is incredibly easy to cteam, i brought zarude against them in majors and claimed my free W, surely nalei can build some heat and win

(HL) zio vs Squirtell 1v1 (60|40) i don’t know much about squirtell ss but if he brings the sort of stuff he does on ladder i think zio will be able to outprep and win
(HL) DEG vs Satanic Beast (45|55) pretty underrated series imo, just feel that Edgar has a bit of an edge over deg in ss right now
Trashuny vs SuperMemeBroz (70|30) pretty sure trashuny wanted this matchup so off the bat that’s already a red flag for smb
Close vs Noxx (31|69)) NOLANWINLT
pqs vs Potatochan - pqs will rfn potatochan but uber virgin tryhard potatochan will have already started his prep and win in 4
(HL) XSTATIC COLD vs tears (40-60) tears’ cteams granted him a win in pl, we’ll have to see if he can pull it off again or if xstatic will find alright matchups and be able to outpick
