Welcome to the fifth iteration of TLT (Tours' Leaderboard Tournament)! Throughout this tournament, players will battle in a best-of-three/best-of-five (from the 6th round on) format each round, with Smogon's standard tiers being the metagames played. This tournament is also double elimination, so if you're defeated once, you're still in the loser's portion of the bracket.

The tiers that will be played are:
SS Ubers
SS OU
SS UU
SS RU
SS NU
SS PU
SS LC
SS DOU
SS Monotype

In order to fairly determine the three of these nine tiers played in each individual matchup, players will take turns locking and eliminating tiers among themselves. They'll both lock one tier, followed by eliminating three tiers, thus leaving three tiers to be played. The lower seeded player will lock the first tier, followed by the higher seed player. Then the lower seeded player will eliminate the first tier, followed by the higher seed player, and it will repeat in that order two more times. The higher seed player picks what tier is played first of the three tiers. After that, the loser of game one picks which of the two tiers is played for game two. Naturally, game three will be played in the last remaining tier.

(Example: Ax is seed #1, while Nol is seed #16. Nol, the lower seed, decides to lock PU, followed by Ax locking RU. At this point, neither PU nor RU can be eliminated. Nol, the lower seed, chooses to first eliminate Ubers. Ax follows with OU. Nol then eliminates LC, and Ax eliminates Doubles OU. Nol then eliminates NU, and Ax eliminates Monotype. So thus the three tiers that would be played are PU (what Nol locked in), RU (what Ax locked in) and UU (the tier that didn't get banned). Of these tiers remaining, Ax, the higher seed, chooses to play RU first. Ax then loses game one, and chooses to play UU next. Should it go to game three, the tier to be played will be PU.)

Basic tournament rules - read these, especially if you're new to forum tours
Sportsmanship: Don't be an ass. Not to your opponents, not on PS, not on Smogon, not to me. A bit of friendly banter is ok, but please know where to draw the line. Think before you type, please.

Scheduling and Activity Wins: Contact your opponent as quickly as possible on their Smogon wall, and look out for them on PS. You will have one week from the posting of the week's matches to get it done. Extensions will be for two days after the scheduled deadline, and no further. If your opponent is not responding to your post on their wall, cannot be found on PS, or miss multiple scheduled times, make a detailed activity post in the thread letting me know why you deserve the win. No activity post means no activity call. As long as you have visible attempts at scheduling (such as wall posts), you will be fine.

Disconnections and Timer: A timer loss is a loss. No if's, and's, or but's about it. If your opponent is nice enough to replay that's fine, but they are by no means obligated to.

Ghosting and Identity: Don't take or give battle advice or make moves based solely on the suggestions of others, and don't pretend to be someone else in order to play as them. You will be caught, and you will be disqualified from this tournament as well as future PS! tournaments (BLT, PSPL, etc.).

Substitutions: Substitutions will be made only for rounds one & two, with round two subs only being allowed for any participants in the loser's bracket.

Pre lock in predicts:

Sificon (65) vs Meminger21 (35): Meminger has shown they are no pushover and will go down with a fight, but sifi is the better, more versatile player so bolding sifi for now.

Gray (70) vs FrostPixel (30): Gray stonks are now rising due to the crash of arce9 stonks. Gray is by far the better singles player with an advantage in p much every singles tier. Going 3 games bcz frixel takes dou but I can't see him winning in a singles format without extreme prep and luck with matchup. Sorry friend but the pooch will take this one.

Elfuseon (60) vs Ron (40): Ron with a huge upset last week, eliminating ninja in his own backyard (albeit ninja had a very bad team imo, and misplayed a lot in dou). This being said, Elf is clearly favored here as the better and more versatile singles player. Ron has improved a lot and I do think this goes to a G3, but Elf eventually wins.

Lukasjoel1 (30) vs MalMoonsault (70): Better player, more versatile

udongirl (30) vs PokeArt2004♥ (70): Pokeart coming off a massive upset over long time nemesis (and tournament favorite) Arce9, beating him in his own tier. Time and time again Pokeart has shown that she can perform under pressure and adapt. This is a rematch from BLT (cant remember the result), and Pokeart is the better, more versatile player and should win.

wesh papillon (65) vs Failbor (35): I do believe pap is the better player here and has the advantage in most tiers, and so, I'm bolding my friend.

Axelsior (75) vs PokemonCestDur (25): This is a case of a lower tiers main against a better lower tiers main who can also play other tiers incredibly well. Axel should take this comfortably.

Poochies going 4-0 this round

El Diamante knocks out Do Bronx in the 3rd round and becomes UFC Lightweight champion
Amanda retains her Bantamweight championship
Max beats Lewis on a track that clearly favors the Mercedes and wins his first Formula 1 Championship

Sificon vs Meminger21
Sificon is a very solid player in many tiers and although Meminger21's play is pretty good too i reckon sificon is slightly better.

Bye is also a very solid player but i think halaman will take the W

Gray vs FrostPixel
Tough one. Pixel has been known to play well in the tours room and make good plays in most situations. However, Gray is far and away the most experienced player and plays every single singles tier better and i think he is still favored to win in the losers bracket.
Elfuseon vs Ron
Ron has won a great match last week but i feel Elfuseon is more versatile, plays better in most tiers, and is able to predict plays better. (he also won one of the TLT cycles). He has got this

Very close matchup once again. I have really watched pokeart play but judging by the huge upset last week i think pokeart's got this.

Pap is who i am rooting for for this tournament and i will continue to root for him. I never really understood how Failbor plays but wesh plays very solid early and makes the correct plays in the end game. Huge respect to this man. You can do it!

Axelsior vs PokemonCestDur
I am not really sure who these people are and never watched them play. However, Axelsior seems to be more prominent as a player so got to give it to him

I am like the small kid judging who would win in the basketball match for the big kids xD

Sificon vs Meminger21
Look the consolation of the masses is vested in the superior ulterior motives of our eminent cryptocracy. I am not trying to say that we are being led as sheep to the slaughter but rather that for every sincere reaction to a phenomenon there is at least two counter-reactions that do not fit our current logical substructures. That being said and so I am precisely clear: Sifi will win this and it wont be conspiratorial at all.

The truth is, looking at the remaining players PCD is probably the best guy in loser bracket rn. Plus I love the pfp.
