Welcome to the RU Winter Seasonal, the first tour in the 2022 RU Circuit! Doing well in this tour will help you earn a chance to play in the RU Championships at the end of the year and potentially earn a ribbon; standings coming soon

Tour Specific Rules:
  • This is a standard SS RU tournament.
  • Best of three, double elimination.
  • Matches are to be played on Pokémon Showdown (main or smogtours).
  • All matches are to be played in [Gen 8] RU. If a ban or unban to the tier occurs during a round, the change will take effect as of the following round.
Standard Rules and Clauses:
  • General tournament rules and regulations can be found here
  • Species Clause: A player cannot have two Pokémon with the same Pokédex number on his team.
  • Sleep Clause: You cannot inflict sleep upon more than one member of the opposing team.
  • Evasion Clause: The moves Double Team and Minimize are banned.
  • OHKO Clause: The moves Horn Drill, Guillotine, Sheer Cold, and Fissure are banned.
  • Endless Battle Clause: Anything capable of intentionally creating an endless battle is banned.

Alright so the Nalorium - false thing is a bit of a mess:

- false contacted on the 21st, telling Nalorium to contact him on Discord
- However, Nalorium posted on his wall the same day that he got hacked and had a new Discord

At that point, it's a bit of a flip, since neither did more effort at that point - and did next to none during the extension period as is, as apparently false couldn't play - but while false certainly could have checked again, Nalorium could have made it easier on themselves by just replying there, it would have given an alert and trace of scheduling. Additionally, Nalorium the very next day sent messages to other opponents on his wall for scheduling. Then, on the 27th, they pm false "hey" on Discord on his new account, but the handle in the screenshot doesn't correspond to what they says on wall is the new account. When Nalorium pm'd me to show this, it was also on that handle so I can confirm that and I had no idea it was them either. So a "hey" at deadline when it's really impossible to know who it is isn't really enough scheduling.

It's a bit contentious and I'm aware, but with all the info being available the act win goes to false. If someone wants to raise the point higher by all means, but the extension was already generous on what was with what I knew at best a flip and even likely a call for false to start with.
