Welcome to the Playoffs portion of the SS UnderUsed Ladder Tournament! Now that we have reached the second stage, the 24 people who have qualified in the 4 laddering cycles will face off against each other in Best-of-Three sets in an attempt to emerge victorious.

Rules:
  • General tournament rules and regulations can be found here.
  • Standard SS UU.
  • Best of three, single elimination.
  • SS cartridge win conditions are in place, there are no ties.
  • Tiers are locked at the beginning of each round.
  • Replays are mandatory for each game in Playoffs.

(70) #9 Adaam vs BigFatMantis #24 (30) - bfm is fine and got p far in uu open last year but Adaam is comfortably top 3 ss uu right now
(55) #10 Lyss vs Draphirion #23 (45) - would prob have bolded the 'underdog' here if i had a reason to bc lyss just went 2-5 in uupl but draphirion just went 0-3 in that tour AND was drafted by askov... surely a career ending curse i fret :( i like many of the french's teams tho and i could see him getting a matchup edge and/or benefitting from tilt cuz shes playing a supposedly inferior player
(65) #11 bulufan14 vs Luirromen #22 (35) - Bulufan has gotten far in like 10 different tiers and idk anything abt luirromen
(55) #12 OnArceus vs Corazan #21 (45) - onarceus is a big rager, i can see this one being an upset as well. however i favor him bc he should have more recent uu teams due to being in UUFPL -- i believe hes on itsjustdrew's team and i consider that guy a genuinely solid builder. corazan could pull up w some pdt or french heat tho and is a good player, tho onarceus is at least as good in the general clicking department
(40) #13 DugZa vs Meru #20 (60) - So True Meru. Dugza been on a good roll lately tho putting up a nice RUPL and UUFPL record. Im not predicting against meru though, especially after his most recent UUPL
(51) #14 Quartosa vs xujing691691 #19 (49) - Xujing is about average and can bring some pretty nice teams at times whereas i know less about quartosa. the one thing i do know though is they had a nice run in NULT at the start of the gen? I'm going to call the slight upset here bc Quartosa seems like a good player that just doesnt engage with Smogon much outside of these tours
(55) #15 crying vs TeamCharm #18 (45) - I don't really like TC's cheesy UU teams, those techs can hit p well in tiers like his home of NU but here ive found them pretty bad. Also ill never forgive him for making me play against cosmic power snore stored power jirachi for like 200 turns in a random BLT
(49) #16 ProDigeZz vs kythr #17 (51) - close one, Prodigezz is above average as a player but I'm pretty high on kythrs overall playing ability. He's succeeded in a ton of random circuits after picking them up quickly (mono ssnl, LC ribbon, NU finals of something). I'm also biased in his favor as a Midwest teammate so

Lot of close matchups, gl to all (especially Meru)
