  • Follow all rules listed here.​
  • Schedule via Smogon VMs. It's easier for me to make decisions for activity calls when I can actually see what went down with scheduling.​
  • If you are unable to schedule with your opponent, please let your managers know ASAP so they can communicate that to me or the other team's managers for a potential substitute.​
  • Substitutions may be made after a week has started. When making a substitution, please tag myself, the managers of the opposing team, and all of the players affected by the substitute to ensure that everyone is made aware. Players who have already played in the week or were subbed out in the same week cannot be subbed back in.​
  • If a match remains incomplete by the time of the deadline, it will be subject to an activity call.​
  • Replays are mandatory. Not only are they useful for confirming wins, they contribute to usage stats and allow the people who couldn't watch the games live to watch them later.​
  • Managers: Please send me your lineups in the same format that I used to post pairings. It makes it much easier to post future rounds more quickly.​

The Hater's Guide to Little Cup: BLT Playoffs (and Predictions)

Welcome to my informative way to get people more knowledgeable on the narratives of Little Cup since that part of mons is always fun to check up on, and do predictions since most I've seen from those outside of the LC community (just like most people talking about tiers they don't main) are not the best. This also gives me a way to talk about the tier that isn't repeating what others have said in our Metagame Discussion.

Elfuseon: The Return of a Goat(?)
I'll say it, I am not the biggest Elfu fan. I would be lying if I said I don't think he's a good player, but I think he is given more credit as a top player than I think he deserves. I think his results in LCWC (5-4) and this tour (3-3) while good, are not up to the standards many have for him, and that he might have towards himself. Fortunately for him, he's gotten himself the easy side of the bracket and did not draw two of the players that beat him in the regular season. With the built-up steam he created in the second half of the regular season, he's looking past this game to the finals in order to get his revenge on my personal #1 and 2 seats.

Tempo di anguria: The Underdog
Tempo finds themselves in an uncomfortable position with a 2-3 regular season record in BLT and a 1-2 record in LCWC, compared to the rest of the stacked LC pool who all have gone at minimum neutral in both tours mentioned. With Tempo only getting wins on the weaker half of the pool in the regular season, I haven't seen enough to believe that he can beat anyone left in the tour. It's gonna come down to a great team and playing well enough for this new blood of LC to win his next few games.

Starsama: Apology Form Incoming
I did not think he'd be able to transfer his great success from LCWC (8-1) in SwSh over to SV, but I'm excited to see that I was proven wrong. With an impressive 5-1 record, multiple top-tier players in the LC discord have said that he has the potential to be an SCL starter if he plays well in SV during LCPL. If he's able to carry over his regular season momentum to the playoffs and to LCPL, don't be surprised when you see his name in bigger tours.

Hacker: The People's Favorite
With the regular season ending, unfortunately, all the fun teams we've come to expect from Hacker are going to disappear for Foo Torb Goth +3. I will fall asleep when Hacker and Star both bring the same five mons but with a different grounded poison. 4-2 in BLT and LCWC, Hacker consistently stays on top of the tier with good gameplay and build, and is expected to carry over this trend to win his second BLT in a row.

Elfuseon vs Tempo di anguria- If you couldn't tell from earlier, I don't believe in Tempo winning. While IMO Elfu is the lowest of the other three players, they are all still levels above him. The Canadian Classic luck would have to strike, but I wouldn't even want it to because it would just make the LC finals game more of a letdown.
Starsama vs Hacker- A finals-level matchup here, and it could go either way. It took me a while to come to the conclusion I reached since both players have been bringing great teams and playing well, but I bolded Hacker because I believe in his consistency. He's been on the big stage multiple times over the years, so I have more faith that he can stay composed under pressure. This game really should be a top 5 game of the week.

Ok I'll actually do these now. Gonna do a bit longer explanations cause playoffs.

Resort City Rufflets (5) vs (5) Flameslingers Skeledirges
SV OU: vk vs JJ09LIE - as I said in tours server, I was picking jj but my gut was honestly telling me to go vk, and it looks like I shoulda listened to my gut. Felt like he's had fantastic momentum since winning charity bowl, I will always believe in the strength of jj as a clicker but vk has really been on a roll and I shoulda trusted that predict.
SV OU: MAVERICK SHOOTERS vs avarice - well it looks like this match might not even happen but I'll just assume it is for now I guess. Both are strong clickers but whereas ava is kind of a jack of all trades I think mav is the more solidified ou player so I'm gonna go strictly off of that, ava def could pull it off tho especially if he has good prep.
SV Ubers: RichardMillePlain vs Skyiew - not much to say here, skyiew has had an underwhelming season wheras richard is the exact opposite, still undefeated in his main tier and beat all the hardest opps in the tour. I do like a good david vs goliath story so I'm not gonna count skyiew out, honestly if he wins this he makes up for his whole season.
SV UU: Piyu vs justdrew - this is a tough one, every tour I start believing more and more that piyu is one of the best clickers on the site, but his games vs franco and jawa showed that he can bleed vs strong mainers. Just by virtue of his uu expertise I think drew edges him out here, but piyu could most def rise to the occasion here as he's done time and time again.
SV RU: Lime vs Feliburn - another case of exact opposite seasons, feli started his season with 2 losses but then scored 4 wins in a row, lime started with 3 wins but has now lost the last 3 weeks. Feli clearly has the momentum currently and I think he keeps it up here. Lime could catch him with some balls to the wall prep but I gotta favor the guy currently churning out dubs.
SV NU: Wadley vs Axrtix - yet another solid blt run for axrtix, altho despite being positive and wadley being negative I think this is still one of the closer games. I think wadley is capable of saucing harder than axrtix so it might all come down to what he comes up with, if this is just a straight no bullshit game tho I think axrtix is currently in better shape.
SV PU: TGA vs Seraphz - no disrespect to these players but this is prolly the least enticing game based on how their seasons went, altho sometimes these are the games that determine the whole week. This is prolly my hottest take of the week cause at least TGA has been playing pu whereas this is seraphz's first showing on the meta, but I think that'll make him more unpredictable and think he'll catch a sneaky win here.
SV LC: Elfuseon vs Tempo di anguria - tempo is a delight I love his energy and think he has a lotta potential with the game, but I gotta favor experience here. Ik elfu is believed to be a tad washed and perhaps his neutral record shows that, but he's still elfu and this man knows how to clutch when it matters most.
SV DOU: Loudwinner vs Exotic64 - exotic is coming in with the slightly better dou record and tbh I've been kinda underestimating him for a while. That said, I feel like loudwinner can prep harder and will find a way to win this one in the builder. Pure clicking alone exotic might be stronger but loudwinner has been playing doubles longer afaik and I think that might swing this in his favor.
SV Monotype: dunoks vs twinkay - both slightly negative but still good players, would say dunoks is stronger. He did choke in semis last year tho so he's got to make sure to keep his head on straight, I think if he can keep himself from making some goofy plays he should take this. It's mono tho so either side could load the autowin mu and we all just say welp that's how it goes.

If this goes to tb I'm calling rufflets picking ubers (kind of the braindead choice) and dirges picking ru or nu, whichever does better in finals but I'll say prolly ru. Then I think we see jj vs vk in ou (could be mav too but this man cannot schedule games for shit rn), richard vs skyiew in ubers and feli vs lime in ru (or axrtix vs wadley in nu if they go that route). Believe each side wins the tier they pick and jj wins in ou since I can't see him dropping the same mu twice.
