Spreadsheet | Commencement | Replays | Schedule
  • Follow all rules listed here.
  • Schedule via Smogon VMs. It's easier for hosts to make decisions for activity calls when we can see what went down with scheduling.
  • If you are unable to schedule with your opponent, please let your managers know ASAP so they can communicate that to the hosts or the other team's managers for a potential substitute.
  • Substitutions may be made after a week has started. When making a substitution, please tag myself, the managers of the opposing team, and all of the players affected by the substitute to ensure that everyone is made aware. Players who have already played in the week or were subbed out in the same week cannot be subbed back in.
  • If a match remains incomplete by the time of the deadline, it will be subject to an activity call.
  • Replays are mandatory. Not only are they useful for confirming wins, they contribute to usage stats and allow the people who couldn't watch the games live to watch them later.
  • Managers: Please send me your lineups in the same format that I used to post pairings. It makes it much easier to post future rounds more quickly.

LustfulLice doesn't make any bad plays, but I rarely see them try to take risks to gain a positional advantage. While Mh is willing to make double-switch-ins and risks(though you could argue that was necessary or else Ivysaur would be a problem e.g.) to gain the secured victory, he is prone to make faulty plays that could cost him long-term due to stress/nervousness. But after talking with him last week I think he has a better grasp of the meta and is less prone to be in tilt because, in the end, we're all playing a team tournament to showcase what NFE is for our fun and free time. I'd give LustfulLice the small advantage as I won't be there to help Mh, but I'm more confident that both of them end up with a close match. LustfulLice is more likely to win if they catch Mh with a mon that Mh doesn't have the perfect switch-in against(e.g Ivysaur last week where their team lacked a good response in the long term) through the match, while Mh is more likely to win if LustfulLice is lacking and gets lured, and eventually get flow charted into their loss.

5dots should just abuse more broken and unfair shit vs Sleid and win from there. Sleid's team uses offense in a very different way that's hard to prepare for, but most of them are not perfectly bulletproof vs broken shit such as Combusken, Ebuzz, and such because they're designed to force the opponent to play the trade war. While they've brought balance and normalized teams, I'm still confident 5dots will find something to beat those as they've fought so much already right now and the balance teams that involve Quaxwell and Ivysaur seemed to be exploited, aka stuff Sleid has been using when it comes to balance. Though I'll admit that 5dots teams aren't something I like myself ngl. For some quick story, 5dots teams lost to mine and he ended up using my teams I just quickly built at 2 am for fun last week. But yeah, very this matchup gonna go wild af, especially in the teambuilding aspect.

Just learned Stareal actually builds NFE and did it back in SS NFE as well. I'm ngl that's probably the top 3 things that I've been shocked by in NFE as a whole. Anyway, I'm predicting Stareal to win since he seemed to carry a strong momentum, and while Thiago Nunes is a strong player I feel like Stareal is better vs them in all aspects in SV NFE. Could be a close match, but I am more secure that Stareal takes this one.

PD vs Strap is a matchup I've not seen before, but never have I ever been more excited to see them play against each other. Skysolo is pretty much an old-school SS NFE player as they played in 2020, while Pandadoux is relatively new as they started NFE late in comparison. So it's the young kid vs the veteran, although both of them are veterans in NFE as a whole lol... We have seen how Strap adapted Mayba's building and plays here, so it makes me curious how they will approach vs PD. Maybe they've had a team in the past, or Quagg will give one of their older teams and Strap will win again like that as Quagg involved themself with them last week. That doesn't mean PD can do the same thing as they did pull reused teams vs me and owned me pretty hard lol. Tbh it comes down to the matchup and who is willing to make the better plays, as Strap prefers to force it into the face while PD prefers to play it slowly, but both of them have the same end goal; victory with a clear winpath at the end and avoiding close endgame scenarios. I'm feeling more confident with PD, but this is just too close for me to truly pick one. Both of these players deserved to be in here and I'm glad this is the finals pairing.

Don't care too much about SM NFE gaming, but I'm more confident with Miyami winning here. Miyami is 5-0 for a reason and they haven't had that bad performance IMO. While Gorex has been disappointing me to my standard, from his plays and how the matchups have gone for him, especially when he has Quagg behind him for support like??? Miyami is more than likely to win this slot.

Leni is winning this and I am making sure of it. Pretty disappointed how the team I gave to him ended up being 6-0'd like that. I'll make up for this for finals, gl Seth.

I know I said that Qwilfish would win here in a clear fashion in the last post, but now I'm not too sure. All the pairings are close in their way that I could go 0-6 in predicts lol. Not gonna lie, may not be a sweeping final again and I am all here for it.
