snow-pokepoke vs CICCIOTT - This one was a hard one to call for me. CICCIOTT is a very strong player and recently got 2nd at a Regional, but that Regional was indeed a different format from Reg G. I think snow gets the edge here as they have had major success in Reg G online tours recently.
kingofmars vs Sakura☆ - This was a pretty easy call for me, Axior got 2nd at NAIC and was one of the best players in the world last season despite the limited time.
guest904 vs IcebergVGC - Both players are very good at Gen 9 but Meluca won the first regional of the generation.
DimtheSimVGC vs Tabu_24 - CSR good
StriiderVGC vs zgrzgr - ZGR is really starting to impress me with their play, I think they have a good shot especially after making Day 2 of Worlds.
kakunakaVGC vs lildarkrai - A good restricted format result in 2022 with a Top 32 at Worlds for kakunaka.
Mareeoh8 vs Dysi - Mareeoh8 is quickly becoming a household name after winning their first Regional in Masters.
thacrow vs shuli - I’m biased.
JoeUX9 vs Arekusabi - Arekusabi has carried in team tours before but Joe is the goat.
Brady1225 vs NashVGC - Brady has a lot of experience in the field, I think he can pull off some clean wins, especially here. Nash is a great Korean player though.
moma vs Megumi - Megumi has been very consistent with two National wins, both in restricted formats. I think they could be one of the best restricted format players in the tournaments.
13Random37 vs KeanuVGC
PasDer vs Darts - Darts has been very successful in his first season as a Master.
DubiousBulb1033 vs PizzaGreedent - Kylan getting Top 16 at Worlds solidifies this easily for me.
Wilfire10 vs Deathstroke - Kind of an old school matchup. I’ve heard that Deathstroke has had great success in team tournaments.
Red's Snorlax vs Clipperz - Clipperz has a lot of great success in Gen 9 and is a great teambuilder as well. I think his skill could absolutely clutch the win here and get him off to a good start.
sempra vs TheBattleRoom - This one was too tough to call. I’m just gonna say that. It could really go either way.
panda! vs JMOdri - JMOdri has great teambuilding skill in Reg G, I think he will win against Justin here, though I was about to call another tie.
soul_survivor vs Marsvgc - Because Jeudy is Jeudy.
EternalSnowman vs MetapodVGChannel - ESM is probably the 2nd best Zamazenta player in the World, I wouldn’t be surprised if he was on that composition for the entirety of the NPA. Always innovates really well on it as well. I think he will have a good tournament.
crystal_0302 vs eragon - Eragon is a DOU player but they have lots of experience in VGC as well, especially in Reg G. Also a lot of team tour experience. This could be his tour to pop off.
kuroVGC vs Snower - Snower always shows up very practiced with a very strong team composition that is a little bit different from what is out there in the field. I haven’t seen them play much Reg G but based on what I’ve seen from them in other formats, I’m very excited to see what they pull off.
Azulite vs Galahad Excalibur - Azulite is very experienced in these online team tournaments and I do expect them to have a good run in this one as well, I think an early win would be vital here.
charmdi vs Mancuso - After winning their very first Regional, charmdi already is starting to have a high stance in the VGC community as a force to be reckoned with. I’m very excited to see what they cook up for NPA as well. I won’t sleep on Mancuso though, another player with a good amount of success.
Michaelderbeste2 vs 45mice - MDB is one of the best in the inperson circuit and online, he could carry the blades.
Mava2 vs Sanvy - Sanvy is a consistently strong player who is very good at bringing the best Pokémon and optimizing them to fit his play style. Can’t wait to see what he has to cook up for the NPA.
PresentLP vs Redsilver - This was very close for me, PresentLP I think will take it though because of the great recent results.
CandyJP vs gahaku - There is a Japan mirror here. CandyJP does have success in more recent online tours. However, gahaku’s great results in both restricted formats and past NPAs give them the edge.
Feis vs SlushiW - Easy for me to call, I think Zacian is actually really favorable right now.
Genius_ vs GetNikkDon - Very excited to see Nicks play after a very solid Regional performance last year, a good record in the NPA is probably on his bingo card and I wouldn’t be surprised if he takes it here.
DiegoGutiVGC vs TTT x - Definitely a close one. While TTT has had most of their success in past formats. Diego, with a Top 8 at EUIC 2024 which was perhaps the 2nd most stacked tournament of the 2024 season with an unconventional team, is definitely looking at testing hard and creating good solid teams to have a good record for the NPA.
The10Phoenix vs yotam - Yotam is part of some very strong building groups that are successful tournament after tournament. His success definitely will pay off here.
FedeCampoVGC vs Spurrific - Spurrific is one of the best, if not the best, CIR players
ZanzibarVgc vs PqlarBear - Zanzibar has very good success across Day 2s and is very good at picking up a team and playing it. However, this one is just too close to call. PqlarBear is an incredibly strong player as well with good results.
Kiran Singh vs mirai1 - mirai1 I feel like has been one of the breakout stars of Gen 9 that is really starting to make a name for themselves. I expect good things from them out of the NPA and they could definitely go on a tear starting out here.
MyStarseiei vs ChongjunVGC - Chongjun was one of the best players in 2022, which was a restricted format. After coming back from a pretty extensive break, Chongjun is probably hungry for some success.
KommanderVGC vs AleK97 - Pretty obvious, I know Komm is very successful in his home region and is pretty well known across the community despite lacking a big breakout finish.
Mastrota89 vs Triir - A regional win and a Worlds cut both in Reg G definitely makes this a pretty easy prediction for me to make.
Hobbit_jr98 vs YoshiandLugia - This was a little hard to call. But in the end, thanks to his Top 8 at NAIC, I decided to give it to Hobbit for this one, though YoshiandLugia is another very successful player that I think will still do well in the NPA despite not being my prediction here.
Sela133VII vs OgreVGC
