SPECIFIC RULES
  • This is a standard SV Doubles LC Tournament. All matches must be played in "[Gen 9] Doubles LC".
  • This tournament will be Single Elimination.
  • All rounds will be First to 2 Wins (Bo3). You may switch teams in between battles of the same set.
  • Matches are to be played on Pokémon Showdown! or SmogTours.
General Tournament Rules:
  • Identity: I expect many battles to be completed under alts. This can be bad for tournament security, and thus I will make this clear: If I hear any whispers of identity theft (battling as someone you are not) or proxy battling (helping someone else battle through PM) I will not be pleased and I will take severe actions.
  • Timer Clause: As for taking long between moves, if your opponent asks you to hurry up, please oblige. If you are doing a damage calc for a key turn that is one thing, but prolonging every move is suspicious and annoying. Don't do it. Furthermore, Battle Timeout is a rule for a reason. If you run out of time, you lose, simple as that. It does not matter what your opponent says. Do not battle if you think you will have to leave mid battle, and instead reschedule for a better time.
  • Disconnections: Finally, in the case of a disconnect, the decision is in the hands of the player who did not disconnect. The options are: redo the battle move for move, redo the battle with the same teams but different moves, or redo the battle with completely different teams. If the battle was without a doubt over, said player may also take the win. Any suspicion that a disconnect was committed on purpose to redo a match may be appealed to me, and if I feel this happened there will be severe consequences; don't do it.

Some predictions gl everyone

1. Sunrose vs Bye
2. Actuarily vs Bye
3. Cepha vs Bye
4. Nephtyrix vs Bye

No need for an explanation Bye cleans easily

6. Toadow vs 11. AKhant 65/35

AKhant has been improving rapidly multiple good performances in a lot of tiers but as of rn I think Toadow still skill difs them hard they’re by far one of the best players here and of all time only being surpassed by a locked in Volt and Actuarily but with Toadows waning interest in DLC I can totally see AKhant out working them and taking it

7. John1240 vs 10. AIRedzone 60/40

AIRedzones been bringing older stuff which tells me they haven’t been building so I’m unsure what they’re capable of while John has been super active making fresh stuff but overcooks at times rn I think John’s going to take it based solely on the thought that he’ll have more modern teams and has more experience in DLC in general red has been winning with those teams and might lock in for invitationals I can see it going either way

8. Voltix vs 9. txitxas 80/20

obvious choice Volts been here for forever and is on a hot streak coming off of an 8-1 LPL (MVP btw) and 4-1 Derby. txitxas doesn’t have any experience outside of an incredible SSNL result at the start of the season where they used samples they’re definitely no slouch they took out some titans on their run but this is Volt and Acts year and I can’t see either of them getting knocked out by anyone other then each other here Volts known to be a very hot and cold player having insane peaks and insane lows with a current 1-3 in LCBC* I’m a bit worried but I think he’ll still come out on top

Sitting on top of this matches with my best bro Bye, here some predictions (by the worst seer in this forum) :

5. PigWarrior19 vs 12. GasaiYunoSan - The only real flip I can see, Gasai can win any match due to her unique style. I'm in love about this.
6. Toadow vs 11. AKhant - I didn't see Toadow since a while, but imo his still strong enough to kick any underdog in this bracket (me included).
7. John1240 vs 10. AIRedzone - 2 bro', but one is French. Imo John is top 3 player in BO3 atm.
8. Voltix vs 9. txitxas - Voltix the king, in BO3 he'll destroy everything but Txixas show really good results earlier this year. Beautiful BO incoming.

Left rule btw.

Predicts :
Sunrose vs Voltix - Good luck Sunrose <3
Actuarily vs AIRedzone - Goat vs HaxxLover (love You bro')
Cepha vs ? - Cepha will win both
Nephtyrix vs ? - They are better than me, gl to them, I'm cooking (Tartiflette incoming)

It hurts my soul to do this but I have to claim activity with the server crash and my opponent disappearing and ignoring me after I dmd her when it was back up (like 30 mins) I just can't finish this set without being unfair to our next opponent and fulfilling my irl commitments properly

I just want to say your absolute disregard for my time and life during arranging this set has been a nightmare only responding on the weekend at the start and being 20mins late as well as disappearing when we had server issues for an unreasonable amount of time please do better in the future

Since I'm first blood on a Sunday (somehow) here's some of my predictions

60/40 1. Sunrose vs 8. Voltix:

Both of our hot and cold players I think Volt is generally better with higher highs and higher lows but I can totally see Sunrose taking it

85/15 2. Actuarily vs 10. AIRedzone:

It's Act sorry boss man but he's the best ever if he cares he wins if he doesn't care he still probably wins, however redzone has been cooking getting a big upset against John last round and gasy in majors I can see him winning if he brings something fresh (I'm not proud of you yet :p)

65/35 3. Cepha vs 11. AKhant:

I can see this going either way tbh both have been killing it but Cepha has been for much longer I'd say it'll be close with Cepha clearly favored W against Toadow is a statement another here would be huge

55/45 Actuarily vs. Cepha:

only time I’m voting against Act Cephas killing it amazing plays paired with even more amazing prep not a soul I would prefer to give the crown to other then him it’s going to be close though

Sunrose vs PigWarrior19 - Still too good for his age, I trust the veterant here :*)
Actuarily vs Cepha - Cepha is like unbeatable atm, but the goat still here. The circuit winner will be the winner of this match.
