Rules:

On Deadline & Match Completion
All players must complete their matches by Sunday, March 16th at 11:59pm -4. Any incomplete matches by that time will be subject to activity decision (MAKE SURE YOU POST ON YOUR OPPONENT'S VM WALL); otherwise, the game will be dead. NO Extensions will be granted.

On Substitutions & Lineups
Managers, if you wish to make any substitutions, you must post here tagging both the player you're subbing out, the player you're subbing in, the manager and assistant manager of the opposing team, the substitute's opponent, and at least one of lost heros , Heika , bea. This is to assure that everyone is in-the-loop and that the OP is updated accordingly to reflect the new match-up.
Managers, when you send in lineups, please send it in with the tier and Smogon username of each player fully written out for ease of transcription.



All games are Bo5 unless written otherwise.

GG to the gogoats as a team led by *checks notes* marshmelto and luser makes finals holy shit the old guard may be washed LOL. Kudos to them for having a good draft and showing they can run a team to almost the end!

mini Gogoats eulogy:

After failing to make the OGPL finals by losing the deciding-playoffs match vs the finis snorlaxes last year they ended up closing the third seed by winning this years pre-playoffs match vs the Very Vulnerable (post season emotions) Vulpixes which marks their first time in OGPL playoffs! Unfortunately after some slightly negative luck and a raw 4-0 showing from luser they were eliminated. Tbh this team was predicted mostly to not make playoffs and that’s due to their spending on players unfamiliar to 1v1 team tournaments as a whole, which did end up with a combined like 4-6 after rotating them out. That’s okay given the price you pay for a bunch of 3ks. This does not include Call Me PK who had a god season and Recti who randomly just showed 4-1 LOL after being like 0-X for the past year.

So this team ended up having good budget picks, and with generally stable players in Stravench, Close, and Blanched, the upside of a season like this is generally good when 3ks can win. Where did it go wrong? Well ultimately it was clear they never found their best roster in terms of slotting and that’s a season losing mistake. Stravench was quite unlucky this season, so you can’t really blame him for things not going his way, but constant juggling with your players is basically gambling and hoping they can turn a profit. Despite cakes winning vs torterra w2 in ORAS he didn’t really stay in the tier to practice, Sificon didn’t start W1 etc. I understand giving your players a chance to play, but egregiously after beating RTM recti never started for playoffs? Hello? While Close of course wasn’t expected to get demolished, Recti was already up on luser, this might have been the biggest “what if” of the season. Adding onto Felucia having a not great season, which does happen, but I think at that point you just need to lock in with the records and you see and accept that maybe from the sidelines is best. Maybe next year!

TwoLinesPerDay Toucannons (4) vs (3) Slaying Spectres

SS 1v1 Bo7: luser vs delemon - SS Thanos, albeit I think this is closer since I think luser tends to be pretty momentum based. wouldn’t be shocked if luser ends up winning
SM 1v1 Bo7: Waylaid vs Elo Bandit - I think Waylaid’s SM fundies are better, just depends if he gets caught offguard by random bs
ORAS 1v1: Synonimous vs torterraxx - This is literally “torterraxx has never not gone even” vs Syno hasn’t lost in playoffs since like 2022. Ultimately, Syno, you will not be breaking the even stevens, one as stable as a turtle’s shell.
BW 1v1: Mcthelegit vs Lumii - X-0 vs X-1, although this is kind of a cinematic finale since Lumii was in this position before and won BW in the clutch. And also MC hasn’t played BW this tour I think so GLHF
DPP 1v1: Jabiru vs Slip - Slip has kinda looked lukewarm this tour overall, and Jabiru is still good + won this before.
ADV 1v1: Marshme1to vs bern - isn’t bellibolt 4x effective against cramorant. I mean don’t get me wrong bern won this matchup prior but I think Marsh has had better wins on the board this season. Shrug
SM 1v1: Kry vs Iron Crusher Kry should lowkey be in SM7 ngl quietly just putting up good records is his memo at this point. IC isn’t bad but this is good tier from the cannons as IC is playing SM for the first time this tour.
GSC 1v1: Pokemh vs Murm Sorry idrc

Should be a fun finals gl both!
 
Dump2Cannons vs RPS Spectres

SS 1v1 Bo7: luser vs delemon (40-60)
It's Delemon. Luser's been on a demon run these past weeks and is probably the most motivated he's ever been but taking a series off delemon is still a challenge. I do believe in my linux using goat, however, which is why I consider this a close margin.

SM 1v1 Bo7: Waylaid vs Elo Bandit (80-20)
Waylaid has been my favorite player to watch this tour. He's proven repeatedly just how good he is, and this is far from his hardest match this tour.

ORAS 1v1: Synonimous vs torterraxx (70-30)
I have full faith in Synon winning the rematch, but I think rematches in the same tour are always kinda weird

BW 1v1: Mcthelegit vs Lumii (20-80)
This is a clicker v clicker match, and I rate Lumi much higher in that regard than MC, especially since she's now in her main tier. At the same time, Mc has an great ability to adapt to his oppo mid-series, and to eke out wins where all odds are against him. G3 hyperventilation will happen!

ADV 1v1: Marshme1to vs Bern (60-40)
The most valiant solider of the British forces vs bernian sanders. Marsh was the better player this tour, but Bern is probably motivated as hell and won this the first time, so I think this is a small margin. I think its worth noting that Melto's promotion in league gives him a momentum that is rarely seen among those that are not addicted to riot games.

SM 1v1: Kry vs Iron Crusher (70-30)
Mb Krytocon I didn't know you rolled like that. Aicy's coming back into SM after a season of BW, while Kry has gone a great 4-2 in this tier rather silently. I think the man's got it.

I literally tabbed into the Kry vs IC series and saw IC up 2-0 and typed “RPS WINS THE CHIP!!” to my friends guess not. 4-0 to 4-4 is disastrous guys that’s a mood killer going into tiebreak but I suppose it’s never over until it is right

SS7: luser vs delemon - We srsly did not just watch luser 8-1 delemon and close in playoffs LOL. I mean his momentum is definitely the highest as it can be atm and he’s looked clean more or less in his recent series, going 4-0 the past 4 weeks. Should I be predicting against him if I want the Cinderella story? Might have to edit this later
SM7: Kry vs Elo Bandit - Idk Kry is just sneaky close to the upper limit of players, going giga positive for like the third tour in a row able to just put up numbers. Toucs SM went 2-0 in finals and Elo has had a worse tour so far.
BW: Waylaid vs Lumii - Don’t get me wrong Lumii is 6-0… but Waylaid might as well be 6-1 since one of his losses has had quite the misfortune. It’s a shame you see this matchup in BW of all tiers

Should be a close tiebreak GL both!
