  • Follow all rules listed here.
  • Schedule via Smogon VMs. It's easier for me to make decisions for activity calls when I can actually see what went down with scheduling.
  • If you are unable to schedule with your opponent, please let your managers know ASAP so they can communicate that to me or the other team's managers for a potential substitute.
  • Substitutions may be made after a week has started. When making a substitution, please tag myself, the managers of the opposing team, and all of the players affected by the substitute to ensure that everyone is made aware. Players who have already played in the week or were subbed out in the same week cannot be subbed back in.
  • If a match remains incomplete by the time of the deadline, it will be subject to an activity call.
  • Replays are mandatory. Not only are they useful for confirming wins, they contribute to usage stats and allow the people who couldn't watch the games live to watch them later.
  • Managers: Please send me your lineups in the same format that I used to post pairings. It makes it much easier to post future rounds more quickly.

DPP OU: Jackuzzler vs Sheik (35:65) - Jackuzzler is willing to make more switch-ins and out reads while Sheik wants to limit your options. Sheik's momentum + builds, and just more experience on scenarios, will make it difficult for Jackuzzler if it leads them to play more long-term, which I think Sheik is extremely good at.
DPP OU: London Beats vs SFG (45/55) - London has stepped up and I don't see it stopping, but I'd hate myself for betting against SFG since they got some unlucky MU's/RNGs. Besides that, I think SFG is still playing well. At worst, they're still able to beat every non-mainers, and I think SFG will snatch this one as I see them having the better matchup for this week.
DPP OU Bo3: PDC vs Lazuli (51:49) - I approve the switch-up from SFG for Lazuli vs PDC specifically. PDC will have a lot of specific techs vs SFG, and how things would go, I have low hope on SFG beating PDC atm. Lazuli, on the other hand, may be someone PDC isn't too familiar with, so his prep can't be too personal vs Lazuli. Just gonna say it out fast, this is probably my favourite player MU as a whole based on my knowledge of both of them. They approach the tier differently than most other players would think of, especially when you see how the synergy in their teams functions. I'm very curious about how each player will prep against each other, but not more about how the set will go. I can see PDC dominate somehow if given the right MU bc Lazuli has "somewhat" holes on their defensive-oriented teams that PDC can notice and exploit. But besides that, I'm very unsure who is winning here, and I hope for a g3 in this set. Gl to both, easily an HL for this week.

DPP OU: Violet River vs Don Eduardo (45:55) - Don gets a better MU that denies offensive progress = over for River. Otherwise, a close set, but the endgame will end it in a clear winner.
DPP OU: Larry vs TyCarter (45:55) - Not impressed with Larry, while Tycarter team tends to feel a bit of trying to innovate too much instead of optimizing structures IMO. Don't really have much to say in here otherwise, but I'm betting on Tycarter because I see their effort, and it usually rewards them if they can back up with the plays.
DPP OU Bo3: Pkel SweeTforU vs Christos (52:48) - Christos boutta lame the shit outta Pkel lmfaooo. Anyway, while Christos teams should favour him more matchup-wise, I feel like Pkel's offense and being the better player make it clearly enough for me to see him win over Christos. Christos was picked in SPL for a reason, but I always feel like he's someone who isn't able to make risky plays or can hyper tunnel into making a play that hurts him in the long run(E.G, playing around vs Gyarados at SPL finals). PKel is especially good at putting his opponent in very uncomfortable spots, and if Christos happens to be in these positions, the game may be over at that point. But despite that, it's 52:48 for a reason. Just that it can be very volatile and a messy one for sure. I think there will be a one sided win for every game of this set IMO.

DPP OU: Mendeez vs Twash (45:55) - Both have been playing very well, but I'm betting Twash due to his unpredictable builds he has brought in recent weeks. Mendeez teams tend to do their job, but not sure if he can get away with overusing Flygon, and if not Flygon, then 90% chances there's a ttar and so many of them feel v exploited by today's standard. Like if Mendeez fought against Christos and Void for example, their ass boutta be cooked by t-spikes LMFAOOOO
Regardless of that, both of them are really close in skill. I just think Twash rn is slightly better at anything Mendeez is doing rn hence it's a 55:45 and not 60:40.
DPP OU: George182 vs DugZa (65:35) - Still not impressed with Dugza, and I think George should cleanly take this.
DPP OU Bo3: Mishimono vs Summer Islands - Cawil is my boy, and I'm happy he won last week, but I don't think he's ready to win Bo3 vs Mishimono unless he plays on point or get the right mu where he doesn't need to commit to a lot of double-switch ins. Always an HL for me whenever Cawil is playing lol. While both of them have been bringing bulky offense, I think this match will become a mix of bulky offense to a guaranteed slow-paced game, which I can see going in favour of Mishimono.

DPP OU: 199 Lives vs Nightcore (60:40) - All-around vs Offense only type of matchup. Not sure if I've seen Nightcore on ladder, but something tells me that this will be a good match to watch. I've seen Nightcore since they've had their good runs in tours, but I find their team to be very risky and vulnerable to sudden matchups. But the risk may pay off vs 199 Lives honestly, but I'm very confident that 199 is not going to lose some wacky-flowchart type of offense again.
DPP OU: BIG WILL vs Watashi (55:45) - Watashi feels like they get a team and play. Big Will touches the team, tests with it, and adjusts to their own preferences at least whenever I see their teams. So it's def more favoured to Big Will since his team alone is more impressive than I've seen from Watashi atm.
DPP OU Bo3: Pideous vs Void (51:49) - This is what I've been waiting for. Both of them have been playing incredibly well, and seeing both of their strong momentum clashes against each other makes me excited. It's really hard to pick one over or other, but I only give it a very slight edge on Pideous, and that's mainly because of her builds tendency to respond more to the player's habits. This is certainly more slow-paced, or a well-prepared offense against each other. Really hard to guess where this will go because the only big difference between both of them is that Void brings stuff that exploits the flaws of the tier, while Pideous innovates the tier in a way that it challenges the current trends. The biggest commonality among these two is that they've a high preference for Zapmie-Structures or Breloom+Heatran+Water Offense. Even then, there are slight differences in their builds IMO. Their Zapmie structures have slight variances in how they prevent progress. In Offense, Pideous is a bit more sequence structured with their Heatran+Loom+Starmie offense, while Void is less limited to that and more free-flow if bringing Suicune/Flygon offense. Besides that, it's easily the HL matchup for this tournament if they don't face in the playoffs IMO. Extremely excited to see them play against each other, HL mu super easy.
