Rules
  • Follow all rules listed here.​
  • Schedule via Smogon VMs. It's easier for me to make decisions for activity calls when I can actually see what went down with scheduling.​
  • If you are unable to schedule with your opponent, please let your managers know ASAP so they can communicate that to me or the other team's managers for a potential substitute.​
  • Substitutions may be made after a week has started. When making a substitution, please tag myself, the managers of the opposing team, and all of the players affected by the substitute to ensure that everyone is made aware. Players who have already played in the week or were subbed out in the same week cannot be subbed back in.​
  • If a match remains incomplete by the time of the deadline, it will be subject to an activity call.​
  • Replays are mandatory. Not only are they useful for confirming wins, they contribute to usage stats and allow the people who couldn't watch the games live to watch them later.​
  • Managers: Please send me your lineups in the same format that I used to post pairings. It makes it much easier to post future rounds more quickly.​

It's an absolute disgrace that some RBY players are starting while King Billu is not.

King Billu is excellent player and has helped me a lot during my RBY tournaments, I've progressed in this tier thanks to him. He deserves much more credit and his unstart remains an absolute disgrace.
 
Week 2 Kekkker recap

[DR] Skyiew vs ZowwyCafé♪ [DU]
Losing the knock war despite wisping the gliscor, as penguin does not have poison heal. Boots koraidon struggling to get through Skeledirge. Straightforward game.

[DR] TJ vs reyscarface [DU]
webs vs paraspam+ditto while not able to chip the Twave user at all in the game, straight-up unplayable for reyscarface.

[EV] LBN vs Meru [CB]
Nice dodge lbn. We love scaleshots.


[VV] Eternal Spirit vs Mashing [DA]
Mashing got tspiked because he brought a palkia-o. I would say that’s deserved.

[VV] myjava vs Colin [DA]
Myjava trying to trick room sweep because his LO koraidon did not bring scaleshot for god sake reasons, and then forgetting hat is slower than caly-I. HAT MVP
8truc vs xinnobu

The MU in preview looks pretty boring with basically xinnobu bringing ndm+hat vs 8truc’s deoA+gliscor which I would say is in the favour of the ndm side. The game did go into xinnobu’s side in sort of one way after 8truc allows a knock on Ho-oh when he tries to burn NDM with Sacred fire which it doesn’t work, probably a Covert Cloak set. After Xinnobu burns most recovering pp of 8trucs’ team and the tera dark on Ho-oh, 8trucs was not able to kill Hat and allow hat to solo the remainder of the game. It could have last much longer if 8trucs would play the game in a more careful manner: what can that ndm be when it actively goes against your hooh?
Hacker vs Vitiate

7u9i2 brought a hazard stacking team with ditto and hacker brought a steel-less BO team with no knock and no spikes, which you can tell from the preview that hacker might have a hard time to play. The game itself is full of question mark for me. After 7u claimed a free lando, hacker had to play the whole game with 3 layers down and with his kyogre traded hp for para 7u’s etern in the early game(?), hacker soon found himself in trouble on taking raw scaleshot from koraidon. On turn 22, that pressure leaded to an ?? tera fairy on a 29% hp kyogre who just died to Low kick. Should he had other tera fairy candidate, he shd be doing that instead and if kyogre is the only tera fairy the game was way gone for him anyway since you have nothing to stop a tera koraidon from clicking scaleshot with your arc fairy facing a 3 layers hazard. But then 7u just tossed his biggest wincon (???) by clicking scaleshot on hooh without tera, 4hitted, and get revenged by 2% hp ho oh. Lastly, 7u try to win with tera poison fairyceus but ironically find himself low on pp in order to sweep, so he switch to ditto on Hacker’s recover on his Eternatus and hope for some choke, which hack does as he did not even try to spam recover to take out ditto’s Dcannon pp and is not able to revenge the ditto (maybe a roll), resulted in a scarf ditto sweeping the remaining dragons of hackers. He could have drained at least 4 Dcannon pp from ditto, and possibly try to fight for the last hope on the judgment pp/ditto endgame scenario, a bit complex to interpret it here so I will leave it to you guys. I won't say this will be better then hacker's taking that roll on ditto, just an alternative, but still a weird game to me.
Taka vs Lana

Scarfbee vs glimmora but lana got sludgebombed without setting webs. Hard one given both sides are experienced player for the turn 1 5050; I would just set webs and go zacian. The midgame is kinda boring after taka’s rejecting speedtie by tera steel zacian as all becomes routine.

One side note: on the last 1v1, since stat boosts effect is not linear, lana should have try to steal a judgment on taka’s non-thinking SD and create a single 5050 chance since judgment is a 3hko on gambit and +6 kowtow does not kill +4 id ceus (which would do around 70%), and taka cannot allow recover at that point. She did not, and that’s the game.
[DR] Hrishioo7 vs Metallica126 [DU]
zarude vs ut spam. Gg.

[EV] Aberforth vs lotiasite [CB]

Cloyster would rather be a shellsmash sweepr than a suicide lead. With Loti going etern first UNDER RAIN instead of THUNDER XERN??? , wasting the xern+etern combo completely, Aber’s FP yveltal seals everything endgame.

[VV] avarice vs Icemaster [DA]

Chaotic one, imo overtrading at the start of the game for both sides and when Groudon looks claiming heads after heads for ice because avarice just allow ice to chip all his flying type into fartable, ice clicks a wtf polish on turn 12 after getting knocked, and immediately retreated by avarice direct-in kyogre. Ice’s don claimed a full eternatus afterwards which seems clearing path for marsh, but as Ice’s ndm is a non-twave iron head set, he had to risk to go Groudon and take a sunsteel damage, where he just clicked another wtf SD on turn 23 which basically gave his don away. Marsh is not able to break through a full hp kyogre, hooh and ndm, ice’s ndm and etern are doing nothing, which forces ice to trade his marsh for kyogre after avarice correctly clicked a calm mind, which would put ice into death count if ice do not trade his marsh right away and hope for a miss. Kyogre did not miss, and that’s the game.
