Welcome to the official RU Ladder Tour VI (RULT), where qualified ladder players will get a chance to compete amongst themselves to earn points for the RU Circuit Playoffs. We are now starting the first stage of the playoffs phase, where the 24 qualified players will battle each other in a single elimination seeded bracket to see who moves on to the top 16, top 2 of each cycle got a bye on round 1, Players continue playing in this single elimination stage until the winner is decided. This is a Type B tournament.

Tour Specific Rules:
  • This is a standard SV RU tournament.
  • Best of three, single elimination tournament.
  • Matchups are based on seeds, according to how well you did on the overall count of cycles.
  • Matches are to be played on Pokémon Showdown (main or smogtours).
  • All matches are to be played in [Gen 9] RU. If a ban or unban to the tier occurs during a round, the change will take effect as of the following round.
  • Replays are required, if you don't post them / if they aren't public, your games will not count.
Standard Rules and Clauses:
  • General tournament rules and regulations can be found here
  • Species Clause: A player cannot have two Pokémon with the same Pokédex number on his team.
  • Sleep Clause: You cannot inflict sleep upon more than one member of the opposing team.
  • Evasion Clause: The moves Double Team and Minimize are banned.
  • OHKO Clause: The moves Horn Drill, Guillotine, Sheer Cold, and Fissure are banned.
  • Endless Battle Clause: Anything capable of intentionally creating an endless battle is banned.
Seeds were made based on placement, ELO, and GXE is the ELO is the same.

I think that Franco is just a generally better player while still having decent tier knowledge. I know that Zause can load some funky squads but I’m not sure if that’ll be successful here.

#10 Ming549 vs #23 LBN
Giving LBN the higher chance of success here from their seasonal win, Ming’s a good player though so could see it go either way, fun matchup.

#11 Feliburn vs #22 PokemonCestDur
I rate Feliburn more highly than I do PCD.

#12 akxhdwy vs #21 Canard
I’m really not a huge fan of ak’s builds a lot of the time, and I think if they stick to them then Canard’s HO-centric playstyle can easily pick up the win. Just cross your fingers that ak doesn’t wisen up and bring stall all three games.

#13 Daharan vs #20 Meru
Don’t think that Meru really plays the tier, if they get passed something they can probably do alright but I think Daharan clears in terms of tier knowledge easily.

#14 Cielau vs #19 hedera__helix
Don’t know who the second player is.

#15 dragonitenb vs #18 Nemosse
Idk if these two know each other, though I’m pretty sure that dragonite brought a Nemosse team for rugl finals. Nemosse had a pretty good run in rugl as well, so this matchup is definitely close. Wouldn’t mind seeing either win, though personally if dragonite does win that gives me the opportunity to get revenge for rugl finals.

#16 Heatranator vs #17 Jojen
tbh I wasn’t super impressed with Jojen during rugl, didn’t seem super motivated. I’m not sure if that same sentimentality will crossover to here, but if it does I give heatranator the edge.
