[SET COMMENTS]
Calyrex-S excels as a setup sweeper thanks to Astral Barrage and As One providing it with the potential to snowball. Calyrex-S has good matchups into threats such as Calyrex-I and Iron Defense Zamazenta-C. Draining Kiss hits Dark-types that resist Astral Barrage such as Chien-Pao and Urshifu-S and is a consistent form of recovery allowing Calyrex-S to stay on the field for longer. Nasty Plot is used to allow Calyrex-S to set up its offenses more quickly, while Calm Mind can help against threats such as Miraidon and Terapagos. Spell Tag allows Calyrex-S to OHKO Flutter Mane, while Covert Cloak prevents the stat drops from common stat-reducing spread moves such as Electroweb, Icy Wind, and Snarl, and it gives Calyrex-S an immunity to Fake Out after Terastallizing. Sitrus Berry is used for longevity and to allow Calyrex-S to stick on the field for longer. The EV spread allows Calyrex-S to outspeed Flutter Mane, Chien-Pao, Miraidon, and Koraidon, without a boosting nature, and the Timid nature allows Calyrex-S to outspeed the aformentioned four while they have a speed boosting nature. The EV spread also allows Calyrex-S to survive Tera Water Surging Strikes from Mystic Water Urshifu-R and two Flare Blitz from Incineroar. The HP EVs are optimized for using a Sitrus Berry. Tera Fairy is used to give Calyrex-S a resistance to Dark-type moves such as Knock Off from Incineroar and Dark Pulse from Chi-Yu as well as a STAB boost to Draining Kiss while also being a good neutral defensive typing.
Incineroar and Terapagos are major checks to Calyrex-S, since both of them resist or have an immunity to Astral Barrage without being vulnerable to Draining Kiss. Urshifu-R helps massively with both of them, since Surging Strikes and Close Combat, respectively, threaten them. Clefairy protects Calyrex-S thanks to Friend Guard and Follow Me while also helping against Calyrex-I under Trick Room thanks to After You. Incineroar and Rillaboom offer Fake Out support for Calyrex-S while also increasing its survivability with Intimidate and Grassy Terrain healing, respectively, making it easier for Calyrex-S to set up. Incineroar can also help against opposing Calyrex-S and Calyrex-I, while Rillaboom can help against Miraidon and Kyogre, as the latter two can deal massive damage to Calyrex-S while in Tailwind with Electro Drift and Water Spout, respectively. Raging Bolt can help against threats such as Wide Guard Pelipper, which can prevent Calyrex-S from sweeping, while also providing speed control with Electroweb. Tornadus can offer speed control with Tailwind, which can help against opposing Tailwind teams, and it can set up rain with Rain Dance, helping against Koraidon.
