4 Bulky Pokemon, a Spider and a Strange Fox

I came up with this team at the start of gen 6. only three of the original members survive, Galvantula, Goodra and Zoroark, Metagross, Gliscor and Mavile, having replaced Salamence, Aegislash and Kangashan respectably. It works using the defensive four to grind down a opposing team, Galvantula to set up sticky web, and Zoroark to cause havoc.

Goodra (M) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Hydration
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 HP / 4 Def
Modest Nature
- Dragon Pulse
- Dragon Tail
- Flamethrower
- Sludge Bomb

Goodra is my special wall. Despite a lack of healing, Goodra tanks very well and is my best pokemon for dealing with Scolipepes, using Dragon tail to remove their boosts. The other moves allow it to damage switch ins. Dragon pulse is neutral stab, Flamethrower is for steels, and sludge bomb sorts out those Fairys. Goodra is my best answer to set up sweepers but the lack of recovery is quite hard if I make a bad move.

Galvantula @ Salac Berry focus sash
Ability: Compound Eyes
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 HP
Timid Nature
- Bug Buzz
- Thunder
- Energy Ball
- Sticky Web

My normal lead, Galvantula will set up sticky web and if still alive, is a useful backup sweeper. Bug Buzz and Thunder are stab, Energy ball is to give coverage against grounds and rocks if needed. I am now using focus sash to make sure it always get up sticky web. Sticky web is important to my strategy as it allows my slower pokemon to outrun a lot of pokemon and makes zoroark harder to stop.

Zoroark @ Life Orb
Ability: Illusion
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 HP
Timid Nature
- Dark Pulse
- Flamethrower
- Focus Blast
- Grass Knot

Zoroark causes havoc, as in a revenge killer role will go in as metagross or gliscor, and will take out at least one pokemon all the time and normally two., and butchers counters to my defensive walls. dark pulse is stab, flamethrower gets rid of steels, focus blast is great for destroying heatran and tyrantiar. grass knot is great for bulky waters. Zoroark is normally successful at removing many dangerous pokemon, allowing my defensive pokemon to clear up. I find Zoroark to be good at destroying counter.

Gliscor @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Ice Fang
- Roost
- Toxic

A simple set. earthquake for stab, ice fang for dragons and flying types. toxic can work down their walls, and roost provides healing and a result, gliscor is often one of my last pokemon. it is my main defensive wall and is a reasonably good backup sweeper

Metagross @ Leftovers
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Bullet Punch
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
- Meteor Mash

Metagross deals with annoying ice types who come to mess with my other walls. leftovers provides him with recovery, and bullet punch picks off weak pokemon. earthquake is good as a powerful move for steel types. the other moves provide rarely used coverage as meteor mash is almost redundant and rock slide is good for flying types.

Mawile @ Mawilite
Ability: Hyper Cutter
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Play Rough
- Sucker Punch
- Fire Fang
- Swords Dance

Mawile is my Kangahan replacement. it is my new mega, which uses play rough to provide a fairy stab, so no dragon will last a turn against my team. Sucker punch takes out lots of stuff which thinks it can take out a slow mawile and fire fang is coverage. swords dance is a useful move as after set up, the pokemon has KO's a mega charizard y with sucker punch. however, Mawile is walled by Heatran and it struggles against defensive Pokémon it can't sucker punch.
