Hello everybody! This is my first RMT, and this is a UU RMT.
Team Building
I first decided that I wanted a lead. A lead that can efficiently set up Spikes/Stealth Rock. After a bit of thinking, I thought, "Who is more bulkier than Deoxys-D?"
Then, I decided to get a wall who can also Stealth Rock and cripple teams. I then thought Registeel, as it can TWave opponents and SR with ease.
Then, I wanted somebody who can defeat Zapdos. I thought of Regirock as a Mono-Attacker, as its Defence is outstanding.
Then, I wanted a Sweeper that is not a wall. I thought to go with Kingdra, as it is a great sweeper in UU metagame.
Then, I decided to get a sweeper who can cover one of Kingdra's biggest weaknesses: Defensive Slowking. I figured that Zapdos can defeat Slowking with STAB Thunderbolt, and it can defeat Swampert with HP Grass.
Then, I knew that Snorlax is a MAJOR problem with this team. I thought that Rhyperior is a good fit into the team, as it can take a CB Earthquake, and can hit it stronger with its STAB Earthquake.
And a team was born.
Deoxys-D @ Leftovers
Trait: Pressure
Nature: Bold
EVS:252 HP/252 Def/4 SpD
~Spikes
~Taunt
~Recover
~Toxic
Description: Typical Defensive Deoxys-D. Spikes is to set up on the other team, Taunt is to cripple other leads, Recover to heal HP if needed to set up, and Toxic is used to cripple sweepers. EV Spread is completely Defensive.
Rhyperior @ Choice Band
Trait: Solid Rock
Nature: Adamant
160 HP/252 ATT/96 Spe
~Stone Edge
~Earthquake
~Megahorn
~Aqua Tail
Description: CB Rhyperior is solely meant to come in, defeat a Pokemon, and switch out. 252 ATT to maximize attack, 96 Speed to outspeed other Rhyperior (no speed) and 160 HP to tank. Stone Edge is for Pokemon like Crobat, EQ for Snorlax and other ground-weak pokemon, as well as a STAB move. Megahorn to defeat Psychic types like Alakazam, and Aqua Tail for other Rhyperior and Donphan.
Regirock @ Leftovers
Trait: Clear Body
Nature: Careful
252 HP/4 ATT/252 SpD
~Rock Slide
~Rest
~Sleep Talk
~Curse
Description: Specially Defensive EV spread, as its Defence is high enough without DEF EV's. This set is EXTREMELY simple; Curse as many times as possible, Rest, and Sleep Talk.
Registeel @ Leftovers
Trait: Clear Body
Nature: Careful
252 HP/4 Def/252 SpD
~Stealth Rock
~Thunder Wave
~Seismic Toss/Earthquake/Ice Punch
~Iron Head
Description: Registeel is my SR/Wall. TWave to cripple teams/Milotic, Seismic Toss/EQ/Ice Punch as an attack, and Iron Head for Ground Types as the switch in.
Kingdra @ Leftovers
Trait: Sniper
Nature: Adamant
252 ATT/4 SpD/252 Spe
~Substitute
~Dragon Dance
~Waterfall
~Outrage
Description: Sniper is odd on Kingdra, eh? Well, I'm not relying on a Rain Dance team to randomly come in. Substitute/Dragon Dance is a good combo, as Kingdra can set up like this, and then use Waterfall or STAB Outrage to sweep. Offensive EV Spread.
Zapdos @ Leftovers
Trait: Pressure
Nature: Timid
4 Def/252 SATT/252 Spe
~Thunderbolt
~Heat Wave
~HP Grass
~Roost
Description: Offensive EV Spread. TBolt for opposing Water types, Heat Wave for opposing Steel types, HP Grass for Swampert, and Roost to heal.
I do not have a Threat List yet. Please rate :) ~
