Hey guys! I have been doing OU for a while now, and this is so far my best team. It has all gimmicks, which are getting kind of old. Can you guys rate and make suggestions on it?
Thanks,
Wyboth
Metal Beast (Metagross) @ Lum Berry
Trait: Clear Body
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Stealth Rock
- Meteor Mash
- Bullet Punch
- Explosion
This is my lead, and he is your usual Metagross lead. Usually SR on 1st turn, unless I predict a taunt, then I wall probably meteor mash and finish off with BP. Usually after this, another Poke comes in, and I go boom. Even if I can't set up SR, 5-4 is still awesome.
Cruel Tool (Tentacruel) (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Liquid Ooze
EVs: 252 HP / 120 Def / 136 SDef
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Toxic Spikes
- Rapid Spin
- Surf
- Sludge Bomb
Tentacruel is my special wall/spinner. Again, same gimmick set. I will usually send him in on something like Gengar, and kill it with surf, or spin on the switch. He can do a good amount of damage to sweepers who don't switch, even though he is more of a wall.
Trollfan (Rotom-S) @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 40 SAtk / 216 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Discharge
- Confuse Ray
- Air Slash
- Shadow Ball
This guy annoys the hell out of people. I can't tell you how many people rage quit because of this guy. He functions as my spinblocker and forces several switches. He can support my team with parafusion, and force switches.
Sweepcune (Suicune) @ Leftovers
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Surf
- Hidden Power [Electric]
- Ice Beam
Suicune is my bulky special sweeper. Same gimmick set, and often I will enter a CM war with another pokemon using CM, and I will usually win. However, a couple of CMs will usually suffice. This thing is hard to take down when it gets going. Sometimes enemies explode, but it's still a 1-1 loss, and sometimes I will predict it and send in Rotom. Trolol.
Broboom (Breloom) (M) @ Toxic Orb
Trait: Poison Heal
EVs: 12 HP / 252 Atk / 244 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Substitute
- Focus Punch
- Spore
- Seed Bomb
People think they have won when they get to my last pokemon. Then this monstrosity comes out. Breloom acts as my physical sweeper, and can turn battles around completely. Still a gimmick set. Usually I will either Sub or Spore the first time he is sent out, which can cripple counters. I will then proceed to sweep their team until I am outsped and my sub is down, which I will then send in a counter to their pokemon.
Riot Shield (Heatran) (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Hardy Nature
- Fire Blast
- Earth Power
- Hidden Power [Grass]
- Explosion
Heatran is my special sweeper, and works great with predicting fellow heatran switch-ins with earth power. He is, like every pokemon on my team, a gimmick. Another exploder, just in case the need arises. Even though it has max speed, it seems to get outsped a lot.
Thanks,
Wyboth
