5th Generation Discussion

Apologies if I'm not the first with this idea,
but i was looking through the different thread topics and I didn't notice a 5th generation thread topic anywhere :O

So I believe with the new generation upon us, and its release in Japan come September 2010, it would be a great idea to post an appropriate thread topic relating to the 5th Generation of Pokemon.

Users can include content, related to the topic, about:
New Pokemon
New Items
New Gyms
New Trainers
New Features
New Battling techniques and features
New Towns and Cities
etc...

The content published in the thread topic doesn't have to be purely based on the 5th generation but the content published must be linked to the 5th generation.
Example: someone can mention that they caught a "Geodude" (1st generation pokemon) within a route of the 5th generation games.

Anyway, thankyou for taking your time to read this and I hope you will consider this idea.

4th gen discussion FORUM.

If you're trying to suggest we make a separate 5th gen forum...we STILL don't quite know enough for that. We have the starters, the two initial version legends, Zorua+Zoroark, and a few more mons. We know nothing about those other than their existence, their abilities, and MAYBE a few moves. We don't know their movepools, we probably don't know a quarter of the Isshu dex, and we don't know what Nintendo decided to use as their major gameplay change (Dark/Steel types, items and Special Attack/Defense split for Gen I-II, Revamped Ev/Iv system and natures for Gen II-III, Physical/Special Split for Gen III-IV). We'll probably get it done when B/W DO come out (or are within a month of getting them) and we know/learn/are learning those things.

There REALLY isn't a point right now. A single thread is enough, and even THAT is kept alive by theorymon. An entire forum for Gen V, as of now, would likely be sent wholesale to Trou du Cul in a week.

EDIT: Okay, and we've discovered Mijumaru really DID get a badass evo. Still not enough for a forum's worth of discussion.
EDIT2: ...Still not enough as of 7-9-10.
 
Tortferngatr is correct. Uncharted Territory was our 4th gen forum before it was changed to Stark Mountain, and it was made closer to the Japanese release, because we need more information to have solid discussion. When it's time for the forum to be made, it will be made, and it will be very active, so don't worry!
