6th Generation Mega Venusaur RMT

Ah yes, the team. This is actually a relatively new team, although it has been tested quite extensively. In my opinion, this team is very well balanced by complimenting each others move pools and resistances. Although Genesect is being suspect tested, I still like this one for the time being.

Venusaur (M) @ Venusaurite
Ability: Overgrow
EVs: 252 SDef / 252 HP / 4 SAtk
Calm Nature
- Leech Seed
- Sludge Bomb
- Giga Drain
- Synthesis

The First member of my team is Mega Venusaur. Let me just start by saying, if you have not seen this thing in battle, you need to try it out! It is a TANK! With the thick fat ability, the only attacks you really need to worry about are Psychic/Flying. Leech seeds and synthesis are great for stalling as well as sludge bomb/giga drain for a good source of dual stab.

Tyranitar (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SAtk / 252 SDef
Gentle Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Rock Slide
- Crunch
- Ice Beam

Wow aren't we just sticking with the bulky theme here? As i stated earlier, Mega-Saur really relies on a dependable source of Psychic/Flying type resistance. Tyranitar can take those with ease as it's dark typing grants it an immunity to Psychic. It can also set up a free turn of rocks on a switch or ice beam an incoming ground type quite easily. With Venusaur covering part of its fighting weakness, these two make a great wall core.

Zapdos @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 Def / 252 HP / 4 SAtk
Bold Nature
- Volt Switch
- Heat Wave
- Defog
- Roost

Zapdos is my main Defensive presence. Boasting amazing natural bulk, along with its resistance/immunity to fighting and ground, this thing also works extrememly well with T-Tar and Mega-Saur. It's got the nice volt switch for priority along with the defog to keep away the hazards. It's not even bad!

Genesect @ Expert Belt
Ability: Download
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 Atk
Hasty Nature
- Ice Beam
- Flamethrower
- Iron Head
- U-turn

More times than not, Genesect will be my standard lead, and for good reason. If its put in a bad spot, it can safely U-turn out on almost everything due to its Hasty Nature and tremendous natural speed. I decided to go with expert belt here instead of the standard scarf because you can really catch people off guard when they predict the previous move to be coming on their switch. Solid team player.

Suicune @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 HP
Timid Nature
- Calm Mind
- Scald
- Ice Beam
- Hidden Power [Electric]

The North Wind himself, Suicune is my special sweeper. With its great bulk, it can easily set up a calm mind or two and then go to work. HP Electric/Scald/Ice Beam provide great coverage and honestly are the best options due to his sub-par movepool. Pretty standard offensive set here.

Garchomp (M) @ Yache Berry
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 HP
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Dragon Claw
- Earthquake
- Fire Fang

A set I really don't see utilized as commonly anymore, this is a set-up Garchomp with YACHE berry. Just like my Gene set, Chomp isn't carry the scarf which grants him amazing sweeping potential. Honestly, all it takes is one SD and this guy is off to the races. Dragon Claw/EQ/Fire Fang really are the basics here and once again provide him great coverage. Stone Edge/Rock Slide was considered but with the threat of T-Tar on my team i really didn't feel it was neccessary...

So yeah, this is the team! Please leave any comments or concerns you may have, I would love to hear them! So far the synergy with this team has been just outstanding and honestly its a blast to use!
Thanks!

Hey guys, new to the forums... Not sure how to use the sprites. Any help getting them to work would be very much appreciated too lol.

Okay, for sprites, you want to right click on the image and go to copy image location.
Code:
[img][/img]
is the general code for that, and the icon is the two mountains right next to the smiley face on the formatting bar.

Onto the team. With mega venusaur, I suggest having 88 Defense evs to give it a very close mixed bulk theme. This allows it to shoulder the more physical meta better, as that is well more common. Also, conkeldurr can't get past that at all.

Instead of tyranitar, I might consider heatran. While ttar has good synergy, the issue remains that sand stream will mess up venusaur-mega's recovery more often than not, allowing Aegislash to be a royal pain. Heatran still resists both types and with ancient power, it can still take talonflame with ease. This also gives a safer switch when genesect is coming out if you know a fire move is coming.

Zapdos should be noted as one of the few pokemon that can outstall stealth rocks due to pressure. The stealth rocks set against it take 2 PP while zapdos can simply defog without worry.

Lastly, for suicune, go leftovers or rest somewhere on the set. Suicune's bulk is what enables it to setup sweep, and Life orb is just taking that bulk away, making it easier to revenge kill. Leftovers will help it stay safer as it sets up calm mind, allowing it longevity in attacks.

Heatran @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SDef
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Stealth Rock
- Roar
- Lava Plume
- Ancient Power

Thanks for the input! I think i will test your Heatran set and get back to you, it seems like a good fit as well. Also, Suicune usually is the first to die on the team, so i think taking off the life orb is a good decision

The Heatran suggestion is quite boss, I was actually about to suggest Unnerve TTar... :)

Also, if you are putting Heatran in and taking TTar out, you may consider rock attacks somewhere there.
Fire Fang -> anti-Togekiss tech probably since Heatran may be doing the fire.

edit more:
I know this is quite a beefy team, however, you may want to consider one fast revenge killer or priority user. I'm not sure who you can remove for it, so you may finally put that scarf on genesect..?

Good points robo mike... Maybe i could remove chomp for some type of dragonite set? The espeed priority could be useful

That might work... Choice Band Dnite? If you go with DD Roost you may lose a lot of coverage especially if you get Extremespeed and lose Earthquake.

Alternate suggestion at the cost of your setup sweeper: If you don't wanna scarf your Genesect since it's your "surprise", you can swap Garchomp for Landorus-T or Terrakion scarfed.
