Any Pokemon you draft can Tera, but Tera Preview is enforced.
  • Drafting will take place in the DOU Discord, so joining it is required for participation!
  • You have up to 95 points with which to draft 8 Pokémon. Costs are listed on your pool’s tab on the drafting spreadsheet.
  • If a Pokemon is picked by someone else, you may not pick it.
  • For the first round, there is a 12 hour timer. After the first round ends, there will be a 6 hour timer within which you must pick, or you will be skipped, and will be required to make-up your pick when you are next online. All timers are off between 10pm-7am local time (check your pool's pinned message for local time).
  • Your timer will halve every time you are skipped. It is recommended to leave picks (with backups) with your pool moderator to avoid this.
  • The following Pokémon have access to all of their forms (although you may only bring up to 1 to each battle):
    - Pikachu
    - Basculin
    - Oricorio
    - Basculegion
  • Smogon's Species Clause applies to your draft.
  • The first 62.5% of competitors that signup are guaranteed entry, while the remaining 37.5% are randomly chosen from the remaining player pool.
  • All games must be played in the 6v6 Doubles Draft with Tera Type Preview on either smogtours.psim.us or psim.us.
  • All sets are best-of-one.
  • The following rules and clauses are in place
    • Endless Battle Clause: Players cannot use any moveset on any Pokémon capable of intentionally causing an endless battle. Thus:
      • A Pokémon may not carry Recycle and hold a Leppa Berry in conjunction with Heal Pulse and Milk Drink, Moonlight, Morning Sun, Recover, Roost, Slack Off, Soft-Boiled, or Wish.
      • A Pokémon may not hold a Leppa Berry while carrying Recycle and Pain Split.
      • A Pokémon may not hold a Leppa Berry while carrying Recycle and Fling
    • Evasion Clause: Players cannot use the moves Double Team or Minimize, nor evasion boosting abilities or items.
    • OHKO Clause: Players cannot use the moves Fissure, Guillotine, Horn Drill, or Sheer Cold.
    • Species Clause: Players cannot have two Pokémon with the same Pokédex number on the same team.
    • Gravity Sleep Clause: Sleep moves with below one hundred percent accuracy may not be used in conjunction with Gravity.
  • Dark Void and Last Respects are banned.
  • You can only use Pokemon you drafted, if it wasn't clear.

(Brief) Power Rankings!
Going to go through each pool and highlight one team that I think drafted the best and will most likely make it past the pools stage.

Pool 1: Sizzlipede & Snom. This is a well-executed semiroom team, with fake out + sweeper support in Iron Hands, three TR setters, and a fast mode for outside of TR with Walking Wake and Bellossom. The huge levels of bulk on this team seem difficult for its poolmates to break and Diancie in particular looks menacing vs all other drafts.

Pool 2: Crow Crumbs is already 2-1, so going to try to predict the other pool victor in Terekusai. Moon, Ghold, Rockpon and Volcarona make up a very solid balanced offense core. Tauros-Paldea will probably come to most matchups for coverage and intimidate support, leaving one of the last three mons to round out the team depending on matchup. I'm a fan of teams like this that aren't centered around one obvious strategy but instead pick a core with good type and speed synergies and leave lots of room for creativity in the builder.

Pool 3: Fangame. Never vote against the chilly master with Alolatales + Kyurem. None of the other three teams in the pool have a Glimmora or a competing weather setter- I expect Fangame to specs blizzard their way to a 2-1 or 3-0 finish.

Pool 4: SuckyLucky. Chien-Pao Dnite Entei is extremely oppressive to stare down, especially when paired with Glimm for hazards or special damage and Scream Tail for annoying disruption. This team feels difficult to execute with but extremely powerful if played right. I'd be very afraid of facing it down.

Pool 5: I'm going 3-0

Pool 6: I initially wanted to go with xmarsh, but after looking a bit more closely I'm going to a bit more out of the box and pick Staraptor as having the strongest draft. The top of xmarsh's lineup looks very strong but Staraptor might have the best low-value picks in the entire draft. Jumpluff, Charizard, and Scovillain are all threatening when paired with Torkoal for sun and Farigiraf for prio block and helping hand. Predicting a surprise Charizard or Scovillain sweep in at least one of the games.

Pool 7: Toss up between Viperino+1997 and Hys. The former is easier to pilot with a lower ceiling, the latter is harder to pilot but with a very high potential ceiling depending on how much juice can be squeezed out of the ultra versatile Mew. Going to give the tiebreak to Hys since I know they're a solid player but don't know much about Viperino+1997.

Pool 8: Probably the closest pool so far. No obvious winners or losers. Gonna pick Trout in Space because I love the Scizor + Hitmontop DPP core and TingLu looks annoying for the three other teams.

Pool 9: Going Schister here, solid tailwind offense with a trick room option in Sinistcha + Crab.

Pool 10: I really like the balance of TheDoomDragon but gonna predict Mizu to steamroll a couple of games with Chi-Yu/Torn/Kyurem in a pool with no serious trick room threat.

Best of luck to everyone involved, this should be a fun tour!
