7* Tera Raid Event: Tera Poison Swampert

Trying online with my Slowbro because I didn't want to rush out and buy a bunch of vitamins for building an Araquanid or whatever

Attempt 1: Iron Hands, Slowking and a...Gyarados that dipped. I assume beacuse of the all ungabunga waiting here....
Then a Malamar showed up! It wound up being stellar and spammed tera blast.

Yeah I wont mince words here we turbo died.

Attempt 2: I dropped Slack Off for Iron Defense; I aint got time for healing outside of cheers so may as well adapt
It had an Espathra as the lead who dipped the millisecond someone locked in a Walking Wake. Valid

Attempt 3: Mew (hm), Vaporeon, and another Slowbro

The Vaporeon was not, unfortunately, a support. It was Stored Power.
More unfortunately I forgot to charge up all teh way and I stored Power too soon, wiping everyone else's set up. So that one's on me, my bad.
The Mew was support-based and that worked out pretty well. Despite my mess up, everyone managed to stick around and successfully pull out the stored power nukes

Sadly I contributed nothing at all. Sorry!!!!

Caught it in a Luxury Ball.

I soloed this with shell bell tera-ground Groudon, but it was far from consistent and took a few tries between hydro pump hits and precipice blade misses. Drought really did not cut down hydro pump damage enough. I don't think I will farm this one!

Latias with Covert Cloak worked well for me online, can deal some damage and also provide support. Cleared my first run with the following moves:

Breaking Swipe
Psychic (for extra PP attacking move)
Mist Ball (50% chance of special attack drop is helpful, but limited PP)
Recover

I think if I planned it out, I could swap Psychic for Calm Mind and manage PP for Mist Ball if there is someone else dealing decent damage. I ran Tera Psychic which worked out, but Stellar might be better to keep the water resist typing.

:walking wake:
Walking Wake @ Covert Cloak
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Noble Roar
- Snarl
- Chilling Water
- Sunny Day

In terms of nerfing damage output, Walking Wake is really good. Noble Roar at the beginning nerfs both attacking stats, and on shield, snarl and chilling water continue to do that. Sunny Day to activate spdef proto and weaken the Water moves. Pairs better with Annihilape than with Mud-Slap users since Annihilape's strategy is to take hits to build Rage Fist.

This might be a bit late, but I managed to beat a Swampert raid with my Vaporeon set:

Vaporeon @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
Tera Type: Psychic
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpA
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Mud-Slap
- Calm Mind
- Stored Power
- Acid Armor / Rest

My plan is for Vaporeon to accrue Tera Charge by spamming Mud Slap, which would also decrease Swampert's attacks such as Muddy Water and Sludge Wave.
Then when Vapoeron has accrued enough Tera Charges and Swampert resets Vapoeron's stats, Vapoeron will then spam Calm Mind, which will boost its Stored Power Attack.
Then it's just a matter of spamming Stored Power against the opponent, which will deal a lot of damage.
I had Acid Armor to help boost its defense and also give more boosts to increase Stored Power Damage. However, Rest could be an alternative in case it receives the poison effect from Swampert's Sludge Wave.

Did this in two attempts yesterday.

Tried first of all with Gastrodon, but felt like as soon as it triggered Storm Drain, Swampert went hard into just spamming Earthquake which wasn't sustainable with the team I ended up with (Slowking, something and a Metagross). The Metagross really sealed the loss being EQd constantly.

Second time around I took Bronzong with Sunny Day/Light Screen (and Iron Defence/Body Press) and ended up with Espathra, Mewtwo and Terapagos. I think the Mewtwo was the event one, but it didn't help out much as it picked Psystrike as it's moved of choice even though Espathra was using Lumina Crash... Swampert was much more content with spamming Hydro Pump in this game so a few misses kept me alive.

Squeaked through though and got it with hardly any time left.

:goodra:
Goodra @ Covert Cloak
Ability: Gooey
Tera Type: Dragon
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Tearful Look
- Acid Spray
- Chilling Water
- Life Dew

Ok I think I found the actual best support. This Goodra set provides the perfect combination of survivability and progress-making. It's actually insane how consistent this is with randoms.

I saw that video of a guy using Stored power articuno-galar and solo'd, thoughts?
Sounds like he was banking on getting competitive boost off muddy water miss.

Honestly i don't see much difference from just using Slowbro or Vaporeon or even Espathra, to most degrees you want it to hit you with the ground or water hit over the poison coverage so you don't get poisoned, but pretty much any psychic type with access to stored power, multiple setup moves, and good enough bulk can pull it off.

:necrozma-dawn-wings:
Necrozma-Dawn-Wings @ Covert Cloak
Ability: Prism Armor
Tera Type: Psychic
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpA
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Iron Defense
- Moonlight
- Stored Power

Necrozma-DW is a powerful solo.

CM until the boss steals tera charge. Stored Power your teammates to build Tera without damaging Swampert. Moonlight to near full health. Once the player stat reset happens, CM 6 times, ID 2 times, Attack cheer, attack your teammates again if you don't have Tera ready, then one shot Swampert with Tera Psychic Stored Power.

Beat it myself today, here was the set I used

Latios @ Shell Bell / Covert Cloak
EVs: 252 Def / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Modest Nature
Tera type: Psychic
- Calm Mind
- Luster Purge
- Dragon Pulse
- Recover

1: spam Dragon Pulse until Swampert puts the shield up, or first wipes your boosts.
2: Use Calm Mind two or three times.
3: Tera and start spamming Luster Purge.

Pretty simple strat, can be done in teams or solo (Intimidate bots are the most helpful). Covert Cloak blocks Sludge Wave poison and Muddy Water accuracy drops, but Shell Bell means you don’t have to use Recover as much.

Why Dragon Pulse instead of Psychic or Chilling Water?
