The Nonagon Tournament!​
Welcome to the Nonagon Tournament! This is a tournament in which you have to get a group of 9 pokemon together and use your team-building skills to make 3 different teams with which to play. This will be just a normal OU tournament, but you will have to think about which pokemon you will use in each match and whom your opponent will use. This could be a very simple tournament to some, but very complex to others.

  • Species Clause
  • Timed Battle (optional)
Of course, there are the special rules that apply. When preparing for your match, you must pick 9 Pokemon that you want to use on your teams. After you have decided whom to use, you must only use those 9 in a best of 3 with your opponent. The catch is that you cannot use the same team more than once, and you have to use each Pokemon exactly twice! This should ensure that you have many new things to think about when choosing your team of 9.

Note: you do not have to use the same Pokemon as you did in round 1. you also do not have to use the same sets on your Pokemon. Don't send us your teams either. We don't need them.

Also: different form(e)s all count as one Pokemon. only one of your nine Pokemon may be a Rotom-a.

extensions last until June 23rd, that gives you until Wednesday before we do some coin flipping.

The deadline for this round will be July 1st. This gives you ten days to complete your matches!
 
I reccomend shortening the deadline. It's been 2 weeks for two rounds where two weeks may have been needed... you're just dragging this out. A weeks deadline is fine, maybe 10 days for extensions lol.

what this man said. 2 weeks is way too long. 1 week or 10 days are better deadlines.

Anyway, I have sent another PM to Omega Phoenix to try to get on with the rest of our R3 matches. Hopefully he'll respond and we can do it before the extension deadline.

What do you mean? You knew my Pokémon by our second game as well, I don´t know where you got that from.

Counterteaming would be pointless, having this in mind; you got hax on your side as well. In my opinion, the games were decided by your misplays, not by hax.
 
i guess ill shorten it to 10 days. And the point of it kind of was to change your team based on your opponent so you can try to outpredict them by the third match.
 
I dont think me and rising dusk will have time to complete our match. This is the first time I've been home all week and I doubt we'll have time to get it done. Give him the win, he's clearly made more effort
 
Beat Lady Bug 2-1 in some nerve-rackingly close games. A pinch haxy in the first game, second went as it should have, and third was decided by a minor game mechanic.
 
I attempted to get Omega Phoenix to battle our second and third matches, but he's been unable to get on. He said I could have the win in PMs. GG in our first match, which we did finish. (I won 4-0)

Game 1 - I got parahaxed at a crucial moment that would've won me the game. Lost 3-0.

Game 2 - I moderately haxed toshi, though all it did was give me a bigger number advantage. Won 6-0

Game 3 - To have an idea, i got a Stone Edge miss on turn 2 and he got a crit on turn 3 that killed the mon that would've roadblocked his team; added to a burn that would've allowed one of my other mons to survive the very same mon that defeated me. Anyways we played it through and it ended up on a close 1-0 loss for me.

All in all a huge haxfest, I did my best but couldn't overcome it. Anyways it's Pokemon, thanks for playing.
 
just saying you guys have 4 days left to copmlete your matches. And i expect them all to be done, I dont want to give extensions unless they're really needed.
