Introduction

**I wanted to build a Double Dragon-ish offense team that could steamroll through common checks and sweep to victory. Having used Mega Scizor extensively in OU I decided that maybe a Life Orb Scizor/Bisharp core would work good in UU. This is my first foray into this gen's UU, so please be gentle!**

The Team

scizor.gif

Rock Lobster (Scizor) @ Life Orb
Ability: Technician
EVs: 44 HP / 252 Atk / 212 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Superpower
- Bug Bite
- Bullet Punch
**For our opening act, we have the B-52s! I can't believe these guys are still touring. STAB Bullet Punch is meant to weaken Scizor switchins like Arcanine at +2 for Keldeo or Bisharp to clean or RK. Matching towels not included!**

bisharp.gif

Depeche Mode (Bisharp) @ Lum Berry
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Knock Off
- Sucker Punch
- Iron Head
**Ah, Bisharp. I have a strange love for this Pokemon, probably because it's never let me down. Together with Scizor, my team just can't get enough of killing Fairies - the rest of my team enjoys the silence of Sylveon being KOed. STAB Knock Off and Sucker Punch are, of course, the mainstays of this team. Lum Berry to beat Arcanine 1v1 and ease switching in.**

gliscor.gif

Dire Straits (Gliscor) @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 244 HP / 168 SpD / 96 Spe
Careful Nature
- U-turn
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- Protect
**I needed a Fire check, a rocks setter and a pivot in one - good thing we have this sultan of swing to take care of all the naughty Fire-types and Steel-types trying to mess with my team. Protect lets me scout out for possible coverage moves. EQ and U-turn are the only offensive moves I'm running; EQ is generally enough to soft-check the guys I want to check. SR for chip damage to put things in KOing range. Synergy with those two gives me my money's worth for nothing and checks for free.**

latias.gif

The Bangles (Latias) @ Soul Dew
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Defog
- Healing Wish
**Ladies and gentlemen...it's Latias! An additional Fire-type absorber that also takes care of Keldeo as a bonus. Has Defog to color the battlefield that hazy shade of winter for you. Finally, to make sure your sweepers aren't suffering an Eternal Flame, it has Healing Wish to pivot out late-game!**

celebi.gif

The Grass Roots (Celebi) @ Meadow Plate
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Leaf Storm
- Psychic
- U-turn
- Hidden Power [Fire]
**OK so the Grass Roots aren't an 80s band but shut up. Celebi is a hard check to bulky waters like Swampert/Quagsire with its STAB Leaf Storm, and forms a dual U-Turn core with Gliscor. Psychic is for Amoonguss and Fighting-types like Conkeldurr. HP Fire is mainly just to lure in Scizor.**

keldeo-resolute.gif

David Bowie (Keldeo-Resolute) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Scald
- Secret Sword
- Hydro Pump
- Hidden Power [Electric]
**Finally, it's the man who sold the world! This space oddity was added in when I noticed that I had a problem with Ice-types and opposing Steel-types. Specs Secret Sword is the STAB move of choice, and Scald is a reliable STAB move that can cripple physical sweepers. Hydro Pump is to KO Latias at low percentages. HP Electric because you can't be too careful up against opposing bulky waters.**

Conclusion

**So far, this team has problems mainly with Mega Sharpedo - I've been trying to stick in Toxicroak, but that just stacks Ground weaknesses and fails to check Swampert. This team is far from set in stone - feel free to suggest alternatives. Bonus points if you can come up with a catchy nickname!**

Hey man, loving the snazzy 80s themed team you have here. I can think of a few changes to help you with the weakness' you've listed. Firstly I'd like to propose Primarina over Keldeo, this allows you to check Sharpedo much easier, as well as letting you switch into Pokemon such as Scarf Hydreigon easier. Next up, I am going to suggest running Scarf Celebi over your current set, through this you gain speed and an option at an extra late game sweeper, I also recommend giving it Healing Wish over Hidden Power Fire - this will free up a slot on Latias. Onto the Latias set, I am going to recommend forgoing Defog, seeing as this is Hyper Offence and you should be sweeping the opposing team before hazard damage stacks too much. Either Hidden Power Fire + Roost / Healing Wish, the choice is yours. Considering you have Celebi and Primarina as Keldeo checks I like the idea of having two Healing Wish users. Gliscor could definitely use some Speed, as well as Taunt over Protect, which would prevent opposing Rocks, set up & Defog. On Scizor, I'd like to suggest running Ada maximum Speed; and lastly, LO on Bisharp seems like a decent choice seeing as you could possibly be running double healing wish.

Nice team!

I have laddered with this team, I have some pretty harsh changes, but I feel they could make your team better.

You might hate me, but I really suggest Azelf > Gliscor. I don't see Gliscor having a place on hyper offense teams. Yes it is a pivot but you already have two pivots, Latias and Celebi.

Nasty Plot + Grassium Z Celebi > AoA Celebi. Your team has a free Z-crystal slot and a lack of set-up sweepers (for an HO) so I thought it could be a nice idea.

Mega Sharpedo > Keldeo is an interesting option. It makes a really good partner with Scizor and Bisharp (all three have common checks) and is a better late-game cleaner over all.

You seem pretty weak to stall, as Quagsire walls two out of your three set-up sweepers and Unaware Clefable walls Celebi. Because of that, Choice Scarf > Soul Dew on Latias is a nice change. Latias has access to Trick so it can lure in Celebi's counters (Unaware Clefable and Blissey) and shut them down by tricking them a Choice Scarf.

Lastly, as pokemon sparrow suggested, Life Orb > Lum Berry on Bisharp because your team has Healing Wish support.

Azelf @ Focus Sash
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Taunt
- Explosion
- Magic Coat

Scizor @ Life Orb
Ability: Technician
EVs: 44 HP / 252 Atk / 212 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Superpower
- Bug Bite
- Bullet Punch

Bisharp @ Life Orb
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Knock Off
- Sucker Punch
- Iron Head

Latias @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Healing Wish
- Trick

Celebi @ Grassium Z
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 1 Atk
- Leaf Storm
- Psychic
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Nasty Plot

Sharpedo @ Sharpedonite
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Protect
- Crunch
- Waterfall
- Psychic Fangs

Took your suggestions and indeed, I did make many of the changes you recommended! Tried and tweaked a bit, and this is what I came up with.

Simple Minds (Azelf) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Taunt
- Explosion
- Magic Coat

The combination of SR, Taunt, Explosion and MCoat will ensure that you won't forget about him - not when one of your pivots is down, at least! Works as standard Azelf - Magic Coat bounces stuff back, Explosion pivots, Taunt and SR are there for obvious reasons. This guy's a much better team player than Gliscor was; I have so much momentum now!

Madonna (Primarina) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Ice Beam
- Moonblast
- Scald
- Hydro Pump

Like a virgin, touched for the very first time...this true blue cleaner is a much better partner than Keldeo, patching up a Sharpedo weakness better and checking Dragons. As befitting a material girl like her, she's wearing Choice Specs and deals anything but Modest damage with her boosted attacks.

I switched to a Nasty Plot Grassium Z following Misa Amane's advice. I have a bit of a Speed problem at this point, but it's the best I could do in the wake of Serperior's banning. It gives me another Fighting-type check for Bisharp, and wallbreaks like no-one's business. Love it.

The Grass Roots (Celebi) @ Grassium Z
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Nasty Plot
- Leaf Storm
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Psychic

As you noticed, I was set up with a pretty big Crobat weakness after ditching Gliscor. But since Gliscor wasn't really a great partner in the first place, I had a Mega slot and I generally had problems with Flying-types, I decided to use...

Walk The Dinosaur (Aerodactyl-Mega) @ Aerodactylite
Ability: Tough Claws
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Hone Claws
- Stone Edge
- Wing Attack
- Earthquake

Open the door and get on the floor! Mega Aerodactyl with a Hone Claws set sets up and tramples through shared checks with Scizor and Bisharp.

All this has made me look at my lineup and think "hey, could I make this better?" It turns out yeah, yeah I could! Depeche Mode are great and all, but they don't really cling to the rock-n-roll vibe I wanted going. Sucker Punch and Bullet Punch had too many common resisters, and moreover it was frustrating to play mind games with it in general. So after a lot of deliberation, I swapped to...

Arthur Brown (Infernape) @ Life Orb
Ability: Iron Fist
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Mach Punch
- Flare Blitz
- Close Combat

He'll take you to BURN! Infernape is my new Steel-type killer, and has the neat benefit of hitting Keldeo neutrally through Mach Punch. Swords Dance is setup, Flare Blitz and Close Combat are suicide STAB. He gets worn down a lot faster, but this is Hyper Offense; I'm not looking for survivability, I'm looking for rushdown tactics.
